Monica and her husband/brother are extremely RUDE. I requested for monica to do my nails but the guy finished with his client first. Soon as I sat in his chair he's complaining. Monica had already quoted me a price, he stated it would cost more. As he's gluing on the nail tip, he's gluing them to my skin, and crooked. I speak up, he tells me i'm wrong. do not ever go to this ghetto nail salon. I've been going to Monica's for over five years. I got a full set done on my birthday April 12 before the next Friday I have lost half the set. They just broke off with no resistance. I came in for them to fix it after fixing it. They tried to charge me $50 $10 less than the price of the full set less than a week ago, when I refused the cops after speaking with the cops, they talked them down to $25. Don't listen to the reviews. Monica is amazing! I love her. I drive an hour and 15 minutes each month to get them done. No one does them like her!!!! She always knows what each of her customers like. I never have to tell her! The reason why you get cuts is because she's making sure your cuticles are even with the acrylic. If she did not do this the nails wouldn't last anymore then two weeks (like most places) mine even last longer then a month! ( I will post pictures of all the designs she's done for me! So Monica or lee wasn't in and I usually go to Lee my mistake for trusting the other lady who is usually there to do my nails!!! I asked for white Tip regular polish she kept insisting I get gel so I agreed again my mistake ! My nails looks like a kid has done them they are uneven and some are thicker than the others and it's lumps in my polish and paint on my skin! I'm so unhappy with my nails I'm so mad ! Wow, I cannot believe some People. As the Owner of a nail salon I find that Monica tends to be very rude, & has no remorse for what she says OR how speaks to her clients. I see she changes her attitude based on the clientele she has waiting in the nail salon. I'm aware because I've been a few times and the truth of the matter is that the only reputable nail tech in Monica's Nails is indeed Monica the owner. Her Husband works there as well Lee,he is rather ruff and may be the one who the complaints are speaking of. Judging from the other ladies complainants on here. Talking about the ones who said that they have been cut a few times. Trust me I know he simply did not care that he was filling very fast and ruff. The one time when I did try him int he past, when Monica was not in the nail salon. Which is whenever she feels like not showing up. None the less Monica herself is a great nail tech, but her attitude is what some would refer to as ratchet some times more than others. The first time she was rude she explained that it was due to the area in which the salon is located 7 the type of clients she has been exposed to brushing it off I tried to be understanding. Even though I do understand she needs to be tough when you deal with aggressive, rude & cheap people all day, However it is never necessary to lie to your clients. She had the nerve to say that she only take appointments. When she has have clearly taken walk'in's in the past without them making any appointment what so ever like myself. I called before I went as usual and her husband Lee answered and said I could come in because she was in, So I walked in today to get my nails done happy to have them refreshed as usual she was busy which is understandable being she is the only good tech in the building. I let her know as usual that I was there for my fill happy as always, At which time she rudely stated without even providing any kind of eye-contact what-so-ever. That she only takes appointments and that she was completely booked I thought to myself thanks Lee good job on the phone moving forward Monica went as far as to suggest that I could go to someone else's chair & allow them to do my nails. Me being really set back by all of this arrogance and the undignified level of rudeness to only have my attention directed to the waiting clientele that had actually started pointing and laughing at me. Saying nothing & not even offering me a future booking. Monica carried on as if she was not being offensive or nasty in anyway and is clearly the way she handles business. How dare she ask me to go to someone else chair, better yet the other techs that she refers to as the foot girls because her husband Lee is not even an option Being in a room full of rude people as a client that generally pays $65.00 each visit for nails only. I find this to be unacceptable especially on the day before new years eve. better yet having your waiting guest laugh and giggle at your rudeness. It's clear they didn't know any better so them I forgive them, However I will never return or refer anyone else to Monica's Nail again.I'd rather have good service and pay more for quality work ethic and atmosphere.
