After another spot we normally order from recently closed, we decided to order from Monicals for some pizza and appetizers. As a whole, the food was pretty good, with the pizza being the best of everything we ordered. Delivery was a breeze and everything arrived warm. read more

Little B- It was very scrumptious. I definitely recommend the meatballs and the cheesy bread. The pizza is squares which is the best. If I could rate it 10 stars I would. Big B- we ordered the thin crust sausage pepperoni and bacon. Very delicious pizza. Cooked perfectly and packed well with toppings. The right amount where you have toppings on every bite but not too many toppings to make it sloppy. Meatballs were phenomenal. Cheese bread was good but not spectacular. You will not regret getting the cheese bread by any means. Price is steep but food packs a big punch for the price. read more

Monicals Pizza - Good eating location, waitress friendly, family oriented. Ordered a veggie, gluten free pizza. Really good. 5 stars in my book. - Pizza Near Me - El Paso, Illinois

Thin crust pizza was very yummy. Service was fast and polite. Definitely would visit again.

We ate Monicals pizza last night. Cool small squares of mushroom pizza and ham pizza! Large 16" pizzas so plenty on thin crust. We also ordered good salad. And u can get litres of pop there including cherry cokes. read more

Disgusting. The breadsticks had been sitting underneath dirty shelving (for however long). There was no foil, plastic wrap or a napkin covering. The waitress microwaved the five pack I purchased. I asked Nikki how long they'd been sitting. Manager? She gave me attitude either way. Began looking around the prep area and actual oven. Look above the oven (top right corner) ...How long ago was that section of wall even sanitized? Trash was overflowing in the corner and swept excess cheese, to let sit. Is it hard to take out the trash? We encountered at least six employees. Witnessed one of the prepper's throw a receipt on top an uncooked order. Another employee (who had previously been engaged with a dirty pair of gloves) grabbed the receipt. Took a look and set it back on the uncooked order. Never once did we see any employee wash their hands. Im not sure why it took so long for a half garlic cheese loaf to cook. Avoid the place. Our order went straight to the trash at the next exit. read more

Good pizza, dependable service. I love that you can order individual pizza for picky eaters. Try the breadsticks with nacho cheese.

The best thin crust pizza ever. I grew up on this Central Illinois staple. Great pizza and the family pleasure is the best.

Excellent thin crust everything pizza delivered to our hotel room with a smile! We wish it was in our community so we could enjoy it again. 5 stars!! read more

Been here a bunch of times and the servers all stink. Management must not train them very well. One girl never writes the order down, and guess what, she always forgets something. Use a darn pen and paper honey! Tonight we had an older female waitress who was just horrible. I don't think we will be back for quite a while. Maybe delivery is better??? read more

This is actually one of the better Monicals around. The older the pizza stones in the oven the better the pizza. The service is good it's a great small town place and the pizza is pretty darn good. They also have a lunch buffet with salad, breadsticks and pizza. This is one of the better Monicals in central Illinois good service and good pizza. read more

Monicals has a strong nostalgic factor for my family, and there are limited choices in the area...but it's really just not that good of pizza. It's frequently overcooked to the point of burned, has very "meh" toppings, and the staff tends to make a mess of to-go orders. We have mixed up orders more than half of the time with take-out, and pretty much never catch the missing pizza, salad, whatever before we get home--our fault since the person who makes our large order never picks up, but also...that's a pretty high rate of not getting it right. Tonight was a missing individual pizza, so major sadness. We keep coming back out of convenience and habit, but also because they have a great homemade salad dressing (like French) and the personal pizzas are only marginally more expensive than the larger sizes, so we can each just pick our own poison. It's easy, it's cheap, it's what we do when we're at Grandpa's house...but the quality and service for takeout just isn't all that great. read more

Obviously management doesn't read these reviews, nothing has changed at this place compared to past reviews I honestly can say it was a major disappointment the people that came into the restaurant with me we're from outta town and was a total embarrassment with the way the staff acted, they acted as if we didn't matter and as if we are a bother to them... I can talk about the food and its mainly the same as any other Monicals the food is good, wonderful treat but spoiled by awful attitudes and service read more

Monicals Pizza in Bloomington, Illinois is A-W-E-S-O-M-E! Really enjoyed it ... we were in town over the weekend and had the opportunity to try their Pizza! So Yummy! :) read more

Waiters never came and took our order we had to get up and walk to the front counter to order. When we asked to order another pizza they replied that we already had a pizza. They didn't ask us if we wanted to split so when we got the the counter and asked them to split it the lady was extremely rude. Horrible wait staff and service. Avoid!!! read more

Excellent pizza place! Monicals is well known and deservedly popular in Central Illinois; the El Paso restaurant fully lives up to their reputation. Good service, friendly staff. We sometimes do dine in, sometimes do carry out. read more

One of my favorite thin crust pizzas! The salad is always crisp and fresh and the pizza never makes me feel so full that I hit the point of uncomfortable. The waitress forgot to put our pizza order in but other than that the food was amazing! read more

Hubby and I went in there after working 13 hours and we were tired and just wanted to sit and drink a beer and watch MLB (which is advertised outside). There was no MLB and I only saw one TV in another room that had no lights on in it. There were only 2 other tables full occupied while we were there, yet the service was slow and the waitress acted like she wanted us to hurry and leave. The pizza was .... ok. I did like their house dressing, it was very good and the beer was very cold (which is good). We probably won't be back any time soon. Giovanni's is MUCH better! read more

Service was good. Pizza bar lacked selection and was not kept up. Styrofoam plates for the pizza bar are flimsy and not environmentally friendly. read more

We had the opposite experience of all those that have reviewed so far. We were a party of 14, including 8 kids under 9, and had great service. The wait staff was patient with us as we sorted out the complicated order. The pizza was just what we expected from Monicals, thin and crispy. In fact, it was better than most Monicals because it actually had a decent amount of sauce. read more

Stopped for dinner on the way to Indianapolis. The meat pizza was so salty I couldn't eat it. Service was mostly friendly and fairly quick, especially since we had 15 people in our party. read more

We don't consider ourselves picky, we enjoy good food but can tolerate a lot. This highway stop was intolerable. First time in a Monicals. Breadsticks were like cheap, out of the frozen section soft pretzel variety. Served with flavorless marina. The pizza was the worst ever. The crust was doughy, but fully cooked to it was intended to be that way. The sauce was bland. Our 3 and 1 year old wouldn't even finish it. We had to ask for everything...water, knife for cutting pieces for kids, check, box, parmesan sprinkles. Cannot believe there are multiple locations of this chain. read more

The pizza is tasty, but not especially fantastic. But the issue here is the service. They seem to be constantly under staffed. It took about 15 minutes for the waitress to take out order. We were a party of 10, including children ranging from 3-11 years old. Then we waited and waited and waited. After 45 minutes, we asked about our pizza and were told that it was just about to go in the oven! Now they were busy, but during this time, three other tables that arrived about the same time as us ordered, ate & left! Just not managed well. If you need pizza, pick somewhere else. read more

You either love or don't love Monical's Pizza, I've ordered carry out from here three times and our group have always loved it.

Pizza is a little bit to be desired service is slow waited 10 min to be seated then another 10 min to ask if we wanted something to drink had to ask 3 times for silverware won't be back. read more

I came here for mothers day lunch with my family and was very pleased with the food. The service was good and we got our food very quickly considering the holiday. I did notice that the workers seem very over extended. There were only two waitresses for two dining rooms and they were running around like crazy. While we were eating i watched one girl busing almost all of the tables in the dining room by herself. Poor thing looked exhausted and she told me that she didn't even get any of the tips for cleaning them all. Maybe this message will get to management. read more

Pizza and salad were delicious. Service was NOT good. Dining room was disgusting. We were one of about 3 occupied tables. Nearly all of the remaining tables were piled high with dirty dishes and garbage the ENTIRE time we were there. I don't think I would dine in there again, but I would happily get their food to go. read more

Two and a half hour wait for a pizza is totally ridiculous. We called at two hour and were told our pizza was in the oven. Thirty minutes later we still were waiting. We understand that some nights are busier than others, but there comes a point where you call the customer back and say you can't deliver what you promised. There is another pizza place in town that delivers. We are going back to them. read more

Quick stop on our way home from Bloomington. Good pizza! Restaurant under construction so not ideal dining conditions. Service was good.
