I'm so glad we finally have a Mongolian spot in the area! The veggies are fresh and what ever seasoning concoction I come up with is always tasty. The sesame bread for me is the star of the show. I always tell the waiter to keep them coming. The only critique I would make is more cooks if possible. I've been 3 times and it's always during my lunch break. There is usually a line of people waiting and only one cook on the grill. Also, this is the first place I've been where shrimp was not on the line. Other than that, if I'm looking for a semi healthy lunch this is where I go.

My family decided to try something different than the regulars that we frequent, so we stopped into here and enjoyed a really yummy lunch. The waiters were very friendly and on top of it, you could tell that they appreciate the business. Upon receiving the check, they also made sure we had some ice cream for dessert and a free bracelet as a thank you.

A friend and I checked out Mongolian Grill for lunch and had a great experience! Thankfully, it wasn't busy at all on a Friday so we were seated right away. The server brought us some waters and asked if we wanted white rice. Since we both planned on getting noodles, we decided against the white rice. The stir fry area included a nice selection of veggies, meats and sauces. The meats included chicken (dark & white meat), beef and pork. I believe they add additional meats for dinner. The sauce options included sesame oil, cooking wine, garlic water, ginger water, hibachi, and Mongolian, among others. We grabbed our bowls and started choosing everything we wanted. I will say, the bowls definitely weren't big enough because I could barely get all the veggies and meats added to it. The food was cooked very quickly and everything tasted fresh. I did have to ask for some chili oil and sriracha to give it the spiciness that I like but the food was pretty good. There's also a small dessert area with cake, cookies, fruit and salad, plus two soups; Hot and Sour (which had lots of veggies but lacked tang) and Egg Drop. Overall, with an all-you-can-eat stir-fry spot, you can't go wrong. The place was clean and had a comfortable vibe. They do have other menu items besides stir-fry, so keep that in mind. If you're in the area and want something fresh and tasty, definitely give Mongolian Grill a try!

Service is 4 stars - they greet you with a smile as you step inside. They check in on you and politely ask to remove your plate as you get ready to go back in line for seconds (thirds, etc) Ambiance is 5 stars - being new everything is still clean and bright and welcoming. Food is a 3 stars. Wish there is more selection for protein like shrimp, squid, etc. The food came out oily when I didn't add any oily sauce. Hot and sour soup was not sour at all, tasted watered down.

My choice of ingredients, rice and sesame bread provided by waiter.

Very Friendly Waitstaff, not too over priced for all you can eat. Fresh veggies and meats to create a bowl of all your favorites fried to perfection. Rice is provided at the table, and there is also Soup and fresh fruit on the self serve cart. Good place for family dining. If you're looking to fill up, this is your place!!

This location is a new addition to the strip mall area. With the large grand opening sign it was a sure addition to the food try places on our group list. We came in and were immediately seated for a group of 7 guests which they easily accommodated us for dinner. They have coke products to drink and the drink options were located on the back of a tabletop acrylic sign and the other listed the grill prices for lunch throughout the week and Sunday all day prices. You'll save a few dollars for lunch within the week with singalong all day equating to the amount of a dinner price point. There is a small area set aside for soup - hot & sour and egg drop soup. Kerp in mind the soup spoon will be wrapped up in your utensil wrap at the table. There are no crackers, but there is sesame bread and white rice that's available upon request. The soup was good and paired well with rice. The food area had a lot of veggies, meats, and sauces to choose from. At the end of the line they would prepare your food. The staff were very attentive and polite. We had a member of our group who had a bday and they came by to sing for us. It was a very nice experience overall. Can't wait to come back and try other dishes.

I'm glad this all you can eat Mongolian grill is open in this area of Va Beach. It is much needed. The place a beautiful and very spacious. The vegetables are fresh and plenty of options to choose from. The meat offerings were chicken and beef. There wasn't any seafood so that was a bummer. They also have cooked dishes you can order from if you don't want to do the Mongolian. The owner was super sweet. She also owns Sukura, so like she told me go there for sushi and Mongolian for noodles LOL. Definitely a place you should try out if ever in the area.

First time visiting Mongolian Grill. As soon as you walk in, you can smell the delicious food cooking on the grill. The employees are friendly, and the restaurant is clean. The lunch all-you-can-eat special is only $14.95, and the dinner option is $17.95. They also offer appetizers and boba drinks for an additional cost, and there's a salad bar you can help yourself to. You literally pick what you want, and they cook it fresh for you. If you're in the Salem Crossing area, you should definitely give Mongolian Grill a try!

Love this local spot! Close to our home and the staff is very nice and friendly. Great atmosphere, perfect for family outing. Food is great! Can't go wrong with Mongolian. I wish they had more sauces and add-ons like minced garlic (yes I know they have the garlic water, but still!), red chili flakes, etc.

The onions added a nice flavor to the beef, and the chili oil on the table paired really well with it. The type of dishes they serve are Burmese food, which I never tried before. Would my first try be a home run or a strikeout? Walking inside, you can tell it was very chilled and laid back. Very good and full of ingredients. The peanut butter sauce was really creamy. A great condiment to the rolls indeed. The icing on the cake....Shan Khow Swae, which is their Burmese chicken noodle soup. It was absolutely delicious. They are an Asian fusion restaurant, but they offer Burmese dishes. I was excited to try them out because I've never had Burmese cuisine. I'd like to believe Mommy Mom may be the first Burmese restaurant in Hampton Roads, but I can't be sure. At the least, this is, for me, the first time I've come across a Burmese restaurant locally. During my first visit I ordered the following: spring rolls for an appetizer; and for my entree, Kyae Oh (Pork Noodle Soup), which is a noodle soup with vermicelli noodles, quail eggs, tofu, pork meatballs, mustard green in a clear pork broth. The spring rolls were a safe option, but nonetheless excellent, as I've had them at other Asian-oriented restaurants. The Kyae Oh looked appeasing on the menu and tasted fantastic (it kind of reminded me of the Philippines' sinigang) when it arrived at my table. Both items arrived quickly upon ordering and my server (who was also Mommy Mom's owner/operator) was kind, gracious and was always smiling. I enjoyed my initial visit and decided to return as soon as possible. Sadly, though, I didn't get around to returning until October, but I still enjoyed a fantastic meal and excellent service from the same owner. During my October visit I had fried dumplings as an appetizer and followed that up with Ohn Noh Khow swae (Coconut Noodle), which are egg noodles in a chicken curry & coconut milk soup base and boiled egg. The dumplings were excellent - fried perfectly and had a great crunch. The Ohn Noh Khow was excellent, too. Considering it was my first time trying this entree, I didn't know how it was supposed to taste, but I enjoyed the combination of curry and coconut milk. The egg noodles meshed well with the soup base and the chicken was tasty and tender. The only thing I noticed is that the Ohn Noh Khow seemed to be a lighter portion than the Kyae Oh I had a few months earlier. I hope that Mommy Mom wasn't already forced to cut back portion size. After two visits, I feel Mommy Mom is a fantastic place. Their facility is clean and organized, its owner is kind, polite and helpful, and he can obviously cook good food. I enjoy Burmese cuisine because of this and look forward to many future visits! Thank you, Mommy Mom! JV

It all began with the warm welcome, followed by incredible service table side and even as I left the team made me feel good (More later!). Whoever designed this restaurant knows something about creating an escape from the world experience. The paneling, table settings, lighting, and every inch of the dining area allowed me to take a deep breath escaping from a hectic hot and humid Virginia Beach weekday hustle! The $16 lunch is a bargain! Offering several impressive entrees plus soup. I am extremely particular about Hot and Sour soup and this bowl was delicious with a subtly of flavors and a pleasant silky texture. I consumed every last drop and returned a clean bowl! I chose Yu Xiang Pork as my entree, which my waitress said was one of the top two favorites along with the pork belly. She said she would give the Yu Xiang Pork the edge. She was right because I loved this dish! I like heat and this offered heat. I like varied texture and this had a range of textures. I want flavor that makes you eat everything served and this delicious lunch offering succeeded. For the price I was so impressed with the variety of mushrooms!! The cherry on top for this visit (No, I didn't get an ice cream sundae.) was the warm thank you's PLURAL that I received from the people up front as I left. Their smiles were beaming at me and they genuinely made me feel like they were happy I came in for a $16 lunch. I said with a wink that I was going to the kitchen to see if they would provide the same smiles of thanks and was told that they would (No, I didn't go to find out.). Clearly a great team serving delicious food in an awesome setting made me wish I lived in Virginia Beach but then I stepped outside into the heat, humidity and hectic world that this FIVE STAR restaurant named Wang Jiang Lou made me forget about for an hour.

That said, the service we experienced yesterday at Stock Pot was unfortunately some of the worst I've had in quite a while. We sat outside, and it honestly felt like we were being deliberately ignored. The restaurant wasn't busy, yet we had to wait long stretches just to get basic things. At one point near the end of our meal, we asked for a box and our check. Instead of bringing it over, the waitresses stood around talking with other waitresses, while we continued to wait. After sitting there for quite a while, we eventually had to ask for the check and box, a second time. Throughout the meal the service was inconsistent. We had three different waitresses checking on us, but were left to sit for about 30 minutes alone at one point, and it took almost 20 to have our order taken, once we ordered, we had to request our appetizer again, after waiting another 20 or so minutes. Upon asking, again, we found out they were out of part of the appetizer we ordered. After that it came out quick. The food, however, was excellent and definitely the highlight of the experience. That's why this review is disappointing to write -- the kitchen is clearly doing a great job. I just hope the service side improves, because it didn't match the quality of the food.

The croffle was okay, I missed the sweet sugar crust typically found on them. The Strawberry sauce was also a miss for me. I found it to be very watery, more like a syrup made for a drink vs a dessert topping. Overall, I had a wonderful visit on both occasions and really appreciated T's excellent customer service and recommendations. I would 100% recommend stopping in and I look forward to returning again soon.
