I have to say, my husband and I are VERY pleased and have gone past our one week "trial run" and are now entering our third week. First, I feel like I spend wayyyy more money than this at Whole Foods every week, and only get a few meals out of it. Second, I am a working mom, and by the time I get home after being stuck in traffic, cooking is the last thing I want to do. Dinner is done, and I can spend more time with my daughter when I get home. Third, the food is really, really good. Ingredients are high quality and what I'd make at home if I had the time. Fourth, portions are awesome. We signed up for the deluxe, and I split my meal with my daughter (15 months old) and I am more than full. My husband is always full off of one meal too. Sometimes for lunch we will even split a container in half and be fine (and we get more meals out of it!)

Delivery: I love the fact that the food is delivered to my doorstep. They deliver on Sundays and seem to be providing service every other week now. There are 4 options available but you can adjust how many servings you want of each meal. Service: No issues and I get a prompt response each time.

I altered almost every meal before I ate it and I threw away a few because they were just so bland and did not look appetizing. Now for my real concern with this company, I was given a gift card by some friends to use for meals after my mom died. Nice gesture. The problem was, 1) the gift card has an expiration date?? 2) you cannot just use the gift card one and done, you HAVE TO subscribe to the service for bi weekly or weekly meals - not what I'm looking for. After one meal delivery that was quite underwhelming, I attempt to cancel the "subscription" (the online interface is not very user friendly) and they deliver the meals anyways, I get them to take it back and they do so, but the charge remains on my card. In 2 weeks, they try to deliver AGAIN. I ask them to please take back the delivery as I have several times online and via email and text asked them to cancel this subscription. This second charge is removed, but the first one is still on my card 2 months later. I've sent many many emails following up on my concern and requesting a refund to no avail. The $200 charge remains on my card for meals that they took back immediately upon delivery. I would not recommend these meals or this service to a friend.

I have had meal services with others before and this is by far the most skilled cooking of farm to table meals. I think it's a good value. One recent review I read was really not fair about "scam". That's just not true but I understand the frustration that led to a misunderstanding. I know the owner/chef was busy and working to try improve their marketing, ordering app, and communications. It's a small business so you just have to contact her directly if there is an issue and she will take care of it. I did that every time and I was patient because I want this good cooking to last to feed my family. Seems like great people. I've spoken to her and met the staff who deliver food to my house. I made a mistake of signing up for 4 weeks of meal delivery, and now I am out of hundreds of dollars. The first delivery was 2 days late and required multiple attempts to contact the merchant to get the ordered meals. Week 2 meals were delivered but be aware, if you happen to be in the shower when they show up with your delivery, they won't leave your meals on your secure porch and will just drive away with your order. Week 3- NO DELIVERY, NO CALL, NO EMAIL. Again, I had too contact the merchant to try to figure out where was my food. Days later got a response that they had an issue with their refrigerator and simply neglected to let me know!!! With over a thousand dollars already tied up with this merchant, I had to scramble to purchase food for my family elsewhere. Due to the "NO CALL NO SHOW" for the week 3 delivery, I politely asked the chef to immediately refund me for the remaining 2 weeks worth of food that wasn't delivered. I explained that because they failed to honor their contract, I had to make other arrangements for the meals. The merchant NEVER REFUNDED me for the remaining 2 WEEKS worth of food that they NEVER DELIVEREDA. I ended up having to contact my credit card company, and guess what? The merchant is lying to my credit card company, claiming they delivered all 4 weeks worth of meals! I am reaching out to the Office of the Attorney General and filing a fraud complaint next. Stay as far away from this thief as you can!

The app is easy to use and gives good order updates, and prep usually takes about 20-30 minutes. Pickup is hit or miss--sometimes it's ready on the shelf, other times you have to ask someone to grab it. I usually do takeout, but the space itself is clean with some seating--just a bit sterile, and there's basically no service beyond pickup. Biggest thing is managing expectations. It's not fine dining--just a step up from fast food, with slightly higher prices.
