Moneytree in Oceanside, ca. This is the absolute best check cashing location but it also offers many other services. I have occasionally had to cash a check because my banking is done at a credit union with few locations in my area. I thought that Moneytree was just for that service but after being a customer for several years I am constantly learning new reasons to go in more often! Needed to get cashiers chk to pay off car loan and Valeri handled everything in 10 minutes at 7:30 in the evening. Wow, can your bank do that? No way! On April 22, 2019 @ the Money tree location 518 Oceanside blvd , Oceanside , California. 7-8pm. I have gone in many times for Western Union money transfers . This visit, the person I had sent the $$ to, was unable to pick it up from the location of Rite aid 1350 N. Vasco road, Livermore, California. Cindya from the Moneytree location mentioned above, handled & professionally resolved a long, complicated process. She is deserving of a raise for her continued knowledge in situations such a this. Additionally, I would also like to Thank, Nanzige for her dedication, professionalism & happy attitude in dealing w/ the everyday public. She has has helped me w/ in the past w/ any transaction I have. You can definitely count on both Nanzige & Cindya for always being @ the top of their awesome work ethic. Outstanding customer service. The rep, Cindya was very helpful and I got my loan processed and paid in a half hour.

These guys are awesome, and their strong fraud prevention measures helped me to identify a serious check fraud issue early enough to prevent thousands of dollars being deducted from my bank account when someone stole a checkbook from my home and started forging checks in my name. Someone came to their store trying to cash one of the earliest forged checks and they apparently have a policy of calling to verify all personal checks before cashing. My # is not on my checks, and they took the time to find my verified [cell] # in public records databases and call me to verify. This was the 1st tip to me that something was awry and allowed me to note other suspicious activity early on, close my accounts and file police and fraud reports asap. This literally saved me thousands of dollars as, although I discovered 2 forged checks had already cleared my account, the thief/forger tried to pass many more checks ($5000+) after I closed my account that I am not liable for. Money Tree did not cash the check, saved it for me to pick up, got the guy on surveillance, and identifying information to give to the police. Having now had 4 financial institutions involved [so I have a basis of comparison] I can say Money Tree goes above and beyond in trying to protect consumers. Another check cashing company actually paid out around $800 on a forged check AFTER I had closed the account and put a block on all checks [so my bank returned the check and did not pay]. When I asked about their verification process, they said the person trying to cash the check provided a phone # supposedly for me, and they spoke with someone claiming to be my husband who verified the check - so they paid it. Anyone can give a fake # and have someone waiting on the other end, rendering their "verification" process really quite negligent as it easily exposes consumers to fraud. Compare that to the Money Tree response. THANK YOU for saving me thousands of dollars and going above and beyond to protect consumers. This is the best check cashing place in the US - actually, better than any bank. This specific location in Oceanside, though is the top customer service ever! The nice gentleman who helped me out my first initial time was so nice, so friendly, so supportive. Then today Valerio and Cindya helped me and so many more with just such positive customer service. Get ready to answer lots of probing questions... I was very uncomfortable while visiting this Western Union location today. I was asked why I'm sending money, if the recipient was a friend, a coworker or a relative and how I knew them. I responded by stating that we work for the same company and I'd like to complete processing on this transaction please. She asked me what company I work for and why we don't have a payroll that takes care of these transactions. I had told her that I don't want to answer any more questions and she refused me service because I would not answer her questions. If I could take away a star I'd give this place a -1. Sometimes you need a Moneytree. Now you think that would be a bad thing but these are the most congenial and helpful people you will ever meet. Unfortunetly I got injured on the job and my disability checks don't get me through the whole month..THANK GOODNESS for MoneyTree; the service is ALWAYS so very professional, friendly and I NEVER have to wait more than a few minutes to get my money. They also are the MOST reasonable of all cash advance places and don't charge you an arm and a leg for your cash advance. I believe all western unions should put posters up about grant scams and any other scam so people won't fall victim to the scam. The poster should be right at the cashier were the customer can see and think twice before claiming to send money for personal reasons. read more
