I really appreciate the Excellent people who work at the Everett Branch (404- 128th St. SW). I…read moreapplied for a transferred mortgage last year about this time, and they took about 2 months to get back to me, with a very small reduction in my current rate. I called Whatcom Educators CU, and the manager got back to me in about 10 minutes. Now I have a much better mortgage rate with WECU. I pay my WSECU credit card early and always for over 4 years. They would not increase my limit (from $5000 to $6000) without a hard pull on my credit. This year, I had a fraudulent charge on this WSECU credit card. That in itself is a concern. I did not get any notice about it. I asked them to close my credit account. Apparently, I didn't communicate adequately, as the closed my card, but left the credit account open. I went into a branch to figure out how to get the account closed. They stated that closing a credit account (with zero balance) would be a detriment on my credit report. I closed it any way. As well, I locked my debit card with WSECU. I'm keeping WSECU as a secondary credit union. Thank you to the very professional and friendly staff at the Everett Branch. --Laura H., Everett

Terrible communication and listening skills with minimal verbal contact…read more We applied for a HELOC loan, online and nobody contacted us to prepare us for what we will need to put our best application forward. They just ran our credit before contacting us and made us a counteroffer based solely on the minimal information in their application which never asked for savings or other assets. No one ever contacted us to ask for income information or assets until after they ran our credit. Our credit is 750+, our payment history is spotless, and our savings are greater than our debt. The agent was very dry and impersonal the few times we spoke with her (twice for less than 5 minutes) and we felt like we were just a number the entire time. She offered less than what we wanted, even though they valued our home at a much higher value than we expected, and never acknowledged anything we would communicate to her about our assets or savings. She would just email us for more information and never ask for our assets or personal savings information that would show our savings are larger than our debt, leading me to believe they do not take your assets or savings into account when calculating loans. Thereby never having a full picture of our net worth. Our entire experience felt impersonal and robotic. It almost felt like they never listened and gave us a "take it or leave it" offer without discussing or reviewing all of our assets. I couldn't help but feel they were being biased. If you want to deal with dry, unfriendly people who will make decisions from little information and not acknowledge anything you bring up, then WSECU is the place for you.

This review is just for the Everett Branch. Drive-thru…read moretellers are biased and racist. After handing over DL and giving the security code, I am still asked additional security questions. Once, I was asked five additional questions. The one that was way over the top was, "If I worked". No lie! I am only asked these additional questions if I am withdrawing over $500. The camera was broken on the screen, and the teller wanted me to do the chicken dance with my neck because she couldn't see my face. Another time, a teller said, "Will you please look at me?" I asked a teller, why am I always being scrutinized, "its for your protection." The Everett location has some of the most biased and racist drive-thru tellers, and after filing complaints to corporate, corporate isn't much better. If your skin is brown, good luck.

In long They're not right next door to Boeing, but they're very much in the heart of Boeing country, so they put a big bank on a busy corner right here. A dozen tellers, a couple dozen desks behind there, huge lobby, parking lot big enough for a big supermarket. Multiple drive-through lanes around back. I switched over from full-retail banking about 20 years ago. I've had savings, checking, and 4 car loans through BECU now. I've always had a great experience from beginning to end with everything I've used. Car loans They have lower fees, typically much lower, and always get the best available rate. The online experience is very straightforward--even 15 years after paying off the first one, I can still the records when I log in. You can make payments as early and often as you want, and they just automatically deduct what's due from your checking each month. Unless you're wealthy enough to pay cash, it won't get much easier. Checking/savings/Zelle You can orchestrate pretty much any transaction on these accounts from the web or from the mobile app. The website has gotten really strong over the years--easy to set up a debit card, easy to do anything. I noticed a bug in one transaction type about 12 years ago, emailed them, and it was fixed within a day. (They didn't let you pay your line of credit to zero online, but only for a couple days). Onsite services I've always enjoyed each meeting for car loans, and teller service has always been pleasant and efficient. They really do seem to hire people who are pleasant, and I've never stumped them with any question. They're trained well, too. They even have a coin conversion machine in the outer lobby, which you can use even outside of business hours. You can get multiple types of gift certificate or other stipends out of it. I've needed that only once in 20 years, but it was such a convenience when I did. I really appreciate the pleasant people, low costs/fees, and high functionality with BECU.

FIVE STAR BANKING…read more 5/5 Stars I seriously love coming to this bank. The workers here are amazing and so is the Branch Manager, Toni Nicholas. Heritage Bank is the first bank that I approached in Washington to open an account. I recently moved here and I wanted a local bank. My friend and I called in an hour before closing and the branch manager told us to come down and she would assist us. Not only did she help us with an auto loan and opening up checking accounts. She even extended her hands out to help us both find jobs. What an amazing person. Toni was such a blessing for us and she is just the most awesome person I've met with. She has been helping me via email, phone calls and in-bank meetings to help me with my banking and job hunt. As for the bank, they have amazing accommodations and ATMs everywhere with no fees. Best bank I found here and I'm a very satisfied member! I wools recommend this bank to anyone looking for a PNW bank.

The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable on the different and account types and services offered. Located on Evergreen Way I have been a customer of this branch since 2002. For a local bank, the technology they have is on par with the bigger banks in the area. Have online, phone and mobile banking with mobile check cashing. The ATM network is part of the money pass so any ATM in that network allows you to not get charged the surcharge fees. I personally know Toni and Anna and they are the most genuine and friendly people that I know. I go visit the branch even when I don't have any kind of banking to do because they are that friendly. Seriously I cannot recommend this bank enough, great local bank with friendly people, and great service.

The accounts are sent to them by the property management company. If you went into the office and they told you that you owe nothing it's because you don't owe them, you owe the collection company being hired to handle the debt. Also, they don't buy the debt they are hired to collect so if you're wondering why they don't settle easy like the other places..that's why. By saying this is a scam company you're keeping people from paying their debt and ruining THEIR credit. And if you're disputing something through the credit bureaus and it gets put back on your credit or they continue calling you? It's because the property validated that debt. So don't blame the collections company, blame the property. the reps aren't always trying to be difficult, sometimes their hands really are tied with how much they can do on these accounts.

I have worked in the banking industry where we had a collections team so I am well aware of how they operate. HOWEVER, when I tell you that these employees take disrespect to an entirely new level ... I have NEVER been spoken to the way I was on November 13. I had simply called to see if there was any way they could work with me for a lesser payment. I was told no and that my only option was to stop the payments but that would not stop my account from further collection activity. When I asked what that meant, I was not answered. I was then transferred to a man without any explanation. I explained to this man KIRKPATRICK that I needed the additional funds for some car issues. He proceeded to ask me what year my car was and then told me that my warranty should cover the work that was needed. He told me in such an abusive manner that neither he or APRIL believe anything I was saying. He ACTUALLY recommended that I reach out and ask my car loan if I can defer a payment so I said you know what since you don't believe me I will. I called my car company out of good faith and I indeed could not defer my payment. I called IQ Data back and said I wanted to make a statement on the recorded line and also told them I was recording them for my records. I told them that the way they speak to people is UNFATHOMABLE. I actually said that I hope this man doesn't have a family and that if he did, I pray that someone treats them the way he treats people. I was not ignoring the fact that I had agreed to paid .. I was merely praying that they would meet me in the middle but NOPE. This place should not be in business.
