I keep seeing the word "scam" thrown around a lot. Aside from how you're being spoken to I just want to say, IQData isn't scamming anyone. The accounts are sent to them by the property management company. If you went into the office and they told you that you owe nothing it's because you don't owe them, you owe the collection company being hired to handle the debt. Also, they don't buy the debt they are hired to collect so if you're wondering why they don't settle easy like the other places..that's why. By saying this is a scam company you're keeping people from paying their debt and ruining THEIR credit. And if you're disputing something through the credit bureaus and it gets put back on your credit or they continue calling you? It's because the property validated that debt. So don't blame the collections company, blame the property. the reps aren't always trying to be difficult, sometimes their hands really are tied with how much they can do on these accounts. read more

If I could award NEGATIVE stars, I absolutely would. I completely understand that everyone with a job ... has a job to do. I have worked in the banking industry where we had a collections team so I am well aware of how they operate. HOWEVER, when I tell you that these employees take disrespect to an entirely new level ... I have NEVER been spoken to the way I was on November 13. I had simply called to see if there was any way they could work with me for a lesser payment. I was told no and that my only option was to stop the payments but that would not stop my account from further collection activity. When I asked what that meant, I was not answered. I was then transferred to a man without any explanation. I explained to this man KIRKPATRICK that I needed the additional funds for some car issues. He proceeded to ask me what year my car was and then told me that my warranty should cover the work that was needed. He told me in such an abusive manner that neither he or APRIL believe anything I was saying. He ACTUALLY recommended that I reach out and ask my car loan if I can defer a payment so I said you know what since you don't believe me I will. I called my car company out of good faith and I indeed could not defer my payment. I called IQ Data back and said I wanted to make a statement on the recorded line and also told them I was recording them for my records. I told them that the way they speak to people is UNFATHOMABLE. I actually said that I hope this man doesn't have a family and that if he did, I pray that someone treats them the way he treats people. I was not ignoring the fact that I had agreed to paid .. I was merely praying that they would meet me in the middle but NOPE. This place should not be in business. read more

IQ Data = Another Phony Shake Down + SCAM on the American people, A Disabled Veteran, and A Black Woman...They bought Fraudulent collection from Riverside Park Apartments(RPA) who is using creative Fraudulent 'Cook the books' accounting and created a Bogus claim/file against a Disabled Veteran/male and a Black Woman/female to scam and shake us down, months after they examined and okayed the apartment was in pristine condition(the property manager accepted and cashed the lease buy-out check and was under no duress). The move-out was precipitated after the black woman was stalked on their property just after move-in, The Tulsa Police sent out a few patrol officers and two(2) police reports were filed with the police, then we proceeded with the buy-out. We disputed their bogus claims with the Tulsa BBB and won. RPA even went as far to sell the bogus claim to Lack of IQ - IQ Data and put a ding on the credit report to somehow get us to pay a Fraudulent collection/charge. Remember these Losers believe in modern day slavery - We owe ZERO $ ... This is written with love and in a non-judgmental [yet] factual manner that cannot be disputed/challenged whatsoever + God Bless the righteous. #NoTariffs read more

The nastiest people. They use bully tactics and lies to get you to pay instantly, with no proof. They probably make commission.

I had a very unpleasant experience with this collection agency today. I WISH I COULD RATE THIS DUMP OF AN AGENCY A NEGATIVE (-0) ZERO!!!!!!!! The representative, Chris, who was at 888-248-2509 extension 1396 was extremely rude and belligerent. He was sarcastic, condescending, and verbally abusive to me while I was trying to resolve a collection matter. The representative was very unprofessional and refused to allow me to speak with a manager. This unruly person insulted my character, education status, and my income earnings by stating he makes more money than me with a MBA! HOW RIDICULOUS AND DEROGATORY!!!!!!!! SO UNPROFESSIONAL WOW!!!!! He was also uncooperative and unwilling to work with me. I've had several unpleasant encounters with this collection agency in the past, and this was just the latest in a series of bad experiences. I'm considering submitting a complaint to the FTC, the Attorney General's office for his state, my state and to the Better Business Bureau. This interaction was a waste of time and a major disappointment. I should not have to deal with such rudeness, verbal abuse, and unprofessionalism when I'm trying to resolve a simple collection matter where I called into their office to get help and assistance WOW AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!! read more

I had several calls from here. After I explained that I was unaware of the "debt", the man calling me said "I hope you have fun being homeless after not being able to find an apartment". After sending them evidence of my "debt" being false, another man said "Well you'll still have to pay it, I don't care if you don't want to". They are refusing to cooperate with getting the false collections account removed from my report. I've provided all the evidence they've asked for (despite the fact that they've made it as hard as possible to submit) and they continue to demand I pay over $4,000. read more

Sincerely the WORST MOST PREDATORY UNETHICAL COLLECTION COMPANY. I am disabled and they knew I was just hospitalized and was on HIGH DOSES OF PAIN MEDICATION. The girl Hailey has no clue of legal and ethical collection practices so as soon as she begins talking about you are breaking your agreement, which I called them back the same day they called me. She will not be involved in illegal collection practices but begins down the slippery slope and then transfers you to the man who is a joke!!! The woman who said she hopes this guy doesn't have a wife and kids because he has SERIOUS ANGER ISSUES!!! He is threatening! And he was taking a card I told him 2 times after I told him I was hospitalized and on high doses of morphine which they are not allowed to push someone to agree to anything they cannot process on 90 mg of morphine, or even on strong enough prescription drugs while being treated by a Doctor because a person on meds like that have an altered thought process in making decisions let alone financial ones. I also told them I did not have an active credit card to give them and he told me to give him any card number so I had one on my nightstand they found in my wrecked car that was years old and cancelled but the tow company did find it in the car u see the seat and had it delivered to me and is why I had quick access to it. I said it twice I was on high doses of pain meds and he still pushed me aggressively and I also told him multiple times that u til I could talk to my b/f and ask if he will pay it on his that they needed a card it did not matter to them it was cancelled 4 or 5 years ago. He thought that having that card on file makes it a legit collection action. It is not legal as I told him the card was no good and this card was cancelled a long time ago and he said yes he knows but to still give him the number. I recorded the conversation because my phone was on speaker and I told them it was recorded on my security indoor surveillance cameras since on speaker it picked up every word... My atty helping me through my current disability situation and he told me it is illegal they speak asking me to agree to any financial agreement knowing I was impaired. Anyone out there if IQ DATA is threatening you and yelling over top of you treating you like a 5 year old,,, you legally have 30 days to pay them after they have made you aware of this collection before they can report it. Also record your phone calls by simply having them on speaker phone and allowing your home surveillance pick up EVERY WORD THEY SPEAK!!! I would give them a minus 10 if I could!!! Also I was told by property management they are great to work with that she herself needed to use them when she was moving into a larger apartment. Wait til I tell her about this and let her hear how they treat people... read more

I'm sorry to hear about your frustrating experience with IQ International. Writing a review can be a powerful way to share your experience and potentially prompt the company to improve their customer service. Here's a suggestion on how you might structure your review: --- **Title:** Disappointing Experience with Unprofessional Service **Review:** I recently had an extremely frustrating experience with IQ International that I feel compelled to share. I reached out to them on three separate occasions, and each time, I was met with rudeness and unprofessional behavior from their representative. Instead of listening to my concerns, the representative continuously interrupted me, making unfounded assumptions about my intentions. It was incredibly frustrating to be talked over and accused of trying to evade a debt that I am not responsible for. My situation involved an apartment I never lived in due to misrepresentations by the apartment management. I even attempted to compromise by offering to pay for a necessary modification (a spiral staircase) to make the apartment accessible for me, but the management failed to fulfill their part of the agreement. Despite explaining this, the representative dismissed my concerns and unfairly judged my intentions. She was unwilling to listen to my side of the story or consider any resolution that involved understanding or compromise. Shockingly, she hung up on me during each of our conversations, which is completely unacceptable customer service behavior. In summary, my experience with IQ International was deeply disappointing. I hope they take feedback like this seriously and work on improving their customer service to treat people with the dignity and respect they deserve. I would never hire anyone like this at my company or have working for me because at the end of the day what did she accomplish with that behavior...... read more

I paid in full almost a year ago and it is still on my credit report as "Closed" I just recently submitted a "Dispute" with TransUnion and it was finally processed and removed this month. I am "Disputing" and submitting these requests my self with the other credit bureaus. I did contact IQ Data International and was basically told to submit these reports myself even though the amount I paid was higher than what I owed for my broken lease, I justified the fee because I was guaranteed that they would submit these requests themselves in order to remove this from my credit report if paid in full. I hope this helps you all! (I was prompted to write an update review after someone messaged me directly asking me if they actually removed it from my credit report and no, they have not) read more

I co-signed a lease for my brother in 2017. He resided in that apartment for three years with no issue. He moved from that unit to a larger one in the same complex in 2021. At that time, I was no longer a co-signer on his lease. He was not asked to pay any remaining balance on the first unit when he switched apartments or during the additional year he resided in the complex. Yet, I received a call from this creditor about a $437 debt from the first unit. If this is a valid debt, I am willing to pay it fully, but I want verification. During the call, I requested verfication via fax or email, so I can address this quickly or simply that they read me the description of the debt. I was dissauded from asking questions and yelled at for making this a lengthy conversation and I kept being put on hold repeatedly and then told the same thing to just pay the debt now and they'd delete it and they didn't have time for a lengthy call. I didn't need a lengthy call, just tell me what the debt is, why I wasn't notified, why my brother wasn't notified, and we can go from there. I suspect their unwillingess to provide an explanation is because it is not a real debt and they know if we look at payments, we will dispute the accuracy. The woman's unprofessional and aggressive behavior was apalling. She treated my like a criminal for asking for verification. Absolutely horrible people. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. My identity was stolen and they were beyond unhelpful to me. I had to have Lifelock call them to get some help. The manager was even nastier personally attacking me. Im not sure why i would call a debt collection agency if im not trying to pay it off. The agents have to be making comission on these deals because the tactics they use are mind boggling. You truly have to be a mean hearted and nasty individual to work at this place. "Shannon" is the most vile, vicious, cruel, and verbally abusive person I have met in 74 years. I have been trying to resolve my debt for over a year. Nothing has worked, and Shannon is the only one they will transfer me to. After having her spew insults and attempt to defame me, I usually give up. I have already paid $800.00 of a debt I did not know I had, until a year after I moved out of an apartment. When my bank did not honor one payment (they accidentally tried to pull from another account) "Shannon" viciously came after me with verbal and emotional abuse. I hope Shannon's boss listens to the recorded calls and hears how unprofessional her employee is. I called to attempt to make a payment plan after the other party on my debt was critically injured and paralyzed and she was beyond unprofessional, downright rude but most importantly hung up on me before I could pay anything, which I was offering to do right then and there. I was actually prepared to essentially settle the debt cash that day but she was much too busy being nasty to realize that and rushed me off the phone after attempting to essentially threaten that I will never go anywhere in life until I pay the debt. You would think a debt collection agency would want money from me ultimately. Nope. Not Shannon. Ia data international as a collection company contacted us a few days ago by mail. We immediately called to dispute the charge. My partner came off the phone in tears and said they treated like garbage. We have several disputes on the fees but since I have the letter with the amount that says 'if you write to us by ###### we must stop collection. Giving the impression that they are not adding dollars to the bill daily. No where in the letter is there a number to pay by phone. On the back of the letter it states clearly ' if you pay the amount shown in this letter, an adjustment may be necessary after we receive your payment' They want you to pay by check in the mail so they can re assess interest for the mail time and bill you again. How is that possibly legal? The letter states .016.00 per annum percentage rate. my 4000 dollar bill had over 70 dollars added in one week which is considerably more than that. the latter states 'other charges that may vary day to day' no detail of any of these charges is given and they will be assessed daily if you dare to even question them. How is any of this legal. Somebody please file against this clearly evil company. read more

HORRIBLE company. Apparently my apartment complex that I moved out of in 2020 sent my balance to collections (this company) last year. Now, I was never notified by my apartment complex or their management company that I owed them something. Nor was I EVER notified that I was sent to collections. This company NEVER contacted me. They say they have a log that they did but I never got a voicemail, text, letter in the mail... nothing. I don't answer numbers I don't know. If it's important, I expect them to leave a voicemail. I think this is something you should probably leave a voicemail about. The ONLY reason I found out I was sent to collections is because I went to check my credit score. It showed that I had a derogatory mark. From there I had to get a credit report... and there is was. That I owed them money from over a year ago. Yet was never contacted about it. I will say, the lady I talked on the phone with was very nice and gave me all the information I needed. She also filled a complaint for me on my situation so it would be reviewed and handled better in the future. Now, I expect nothing to come out of that but she was very nice. read more

The manager I spoke to over the phone was extremely rude, raised his voice at me, talked in circles to me, and pressured me to pay the money same day (the first day I've ever heard about this debt) or threatened to wreck my credit score. Backstory: I got a surprise bill in the mail claiming I owed over $1,000 from an apartment I moved out from over 2 years ago. They wouldn't even tell me what the bill was for, and when I asked for the documentation they received from the apartment, they refused to show me. They wouldn't even tell me why I owed this debt. Earlier I had called the apartment complex and they said they are under new management and didn't have the documentation either, so no one could tell me why I owed this debt, why the first time I'm hearing about it is 2 years after I moved out, or gave me a good reason I should have to pay $200 in interest when I was never notified of this debt. I'm not convinced this place isn't a scam, but I googled it and it's apparently "legit" so I had to pay the debt. Predatory assholes. read more

I also did not provide them with my card information till after I received the email containing the settlement letter. Although this was incredibly stressful I'm glad I was able to settle and get that debt taken care of. Joel was beyond helpful and worked with me on the total amount I had to pay, which was a decent percentage less than the full amount. I was able to gather funds, call him, have it paid and then I was sent the letter stating it was fully satisfied to them, along with the original apartment complex name and everything- SAME DAY, as I had asked for. I feel bad for calling him several times while getting my ducks in order, but am fully satisfied with the results.
