This is a gem. Wether you're looking for food, or wine, you couldn't be disappointed.
We found Monastero by luck, it looked welcoming, we tried it. And good thing we did. The host welcomed us warmly and speaks fluently in at least 3 different languages. He offered us to try out some of his wines to help us in our choice, and the choice wasn't easy as quite a few were really good.
We then got our plates, and that was the coup-de-grace. The penne al ragu were perfect, and even the simpler tomato-mozzarella my girlfriend ordered tasted like rainbows had been used in the recipe.
No, sincerely, go there. You'll be welcomed and eat very well. read more
