Best place to get a quick bite, me and my friends go there all the time and are greeted well, we love monarcos staff so much!

Food is pretty good and always consistent. The red sauce is bomb. Wife n kids love their bean n cheese burritos

Best Mexican food in the HD HANDS DOWN and I've lived here my whole life. Definitely recommend

Came in today. Same young rude girl working dropping F bombs like every other word. Only comes out when her friends are there to give free food. She is completely rude and unprofessional. I stood 10 minutes waiting for her to take my order while she sat in the back talking about her party. No kind of care of who's around or her job. She also mentioned numerous times " I dont give a f@##k if I get fired. Management is a joke. read more

Discovered them by accident and was pleasantly surprised. The food was really good! We will definitely eat here again.

Service is horrible and food is absolutely disgusting, go to one of the other 100+ Mexican restaurants in the high desert and wait for this place to be bought out by someone who knows how to cook and run a restaurant. read more

My wife and I go there constantly, and it is always great. I recommend the combination burritos every time.

Love the soft tacos I ordered 20 at a time still ran out I know better for next time I have people coming over I will know how many to get next time read more

This is an asada burrito according to them, it's more like a bean and rice burrito with a pinch of asada. Disappointing. read more

I ordered my food over the phone for to go. But when we got there I decided to sit down and eat it there instead. I paid for my food, and ask the women from behind the counter if I can have two bowl, so my sweetheart and I, could sit down and enjoyed our breakfast. She gave me a nasty attitude and lecture me. She have the audacity to tell me. I order my food for to go, so I shouldn't sit down and eat at the establishment. She stated it is not fair for the other customers who is dining in. I look around and ask her what customers is she holding the seat for? There was only two customers sitting down. The place was empty. She continued to have a very bad attitude, and stated I shouldn't order my food ahead of time. Because there won't be enough for the other customers. Again I have already paid for my food. Needles to say, I lost my appetite after this rude clerk lack of people skills. I hope management/Owner is reading this and educate this women regarding her terrible customers service skills. It is very disappointing. read more

This place is not good at all if you know about Mexican Food just drive past it and save your self some money and get something better then this. Menudo is not good at all no flavor the want to be Handmade tortillas arent even corn made they are made with Maseca and for what they charge extra for fake hand made tortillas the asada tacos arent good and the salsas suck everything here is 15$ and up but i guess if your drunk and out in the mesa area where their is nothing at all to eat it does the job i rather go to someones house and buy food of them..... read more

It's a shame as the Mesa needs decent places to get food but this is not it. Tiny little hard shell tacos almost 4.00 each.... I understand prices are going up but that's just NOT RIGHT!!! read more

food is good but i order before others and no matter the meal i get, they always give others their food before I receive mine. ither then that, place is good. read more

I've had the chorizo plate here before and I have to admit it's pretty darn good. The problem I've had here is the service. The makes mistakes often and today after I was all excited that I was going to enjoy some good food before I start working on my house, the girl that took my order said she didn't get a call for my order. I showed her the proof I called, and she had the wise words or "we'll we don't have the order" How about you make ASAP then!? Clearly not an option, she just went about helping another customer and blew me off. read more

I just bought my lunch from Monica's tacos in Hesperia off of I st. What I had ordered were hard shell beef tacos with beans and rice. Sorry to say the beans and rice didn't tast good at all. I had better. I'm disappointed with Monica's tocos.. read more

I really enjoyed the enchilada plate and soft tacos. I haven't been here in a while but they have not sacrificed taste and quality during the pandemic like many of the other restaurants in town. read more

This place has gone down hill. Ordered an all meat burrito and i might as well of ordered an all fat burrito. Food isn't as good as it used to be back in the day. Pricey for what you get. If the food was good i wouldn't mind the prices or the small portions. I should of gone to Del Taco. Sad to say that Del Taco has better food than this place. read more

Okay Monica's done with you gave you one more chance paid over $14 for a burrito charged me $1.25 or a 2 oz cup of salsa and a soda your meat is Chuck roast not carne asada you charge us more for me because of covid and you use crappier product get it together read more

8 hour old cooked chicken can not be served to people! My wife is pregnant and started eating this (see photo). I know that even they have no idea what's landed on it in that amount of time. It can only be this hard and translucent after sitting an entire day. Sorry guys you lost a lot of local business. read more

I've given this place 3 chances at getting it right. The only thing that is half way decent are the fish tacos and that's only when the cook gets is right. Attempt 1 I ordered 3 fish tacos and 3 asada Tacos... Fish were ok , asada not so good. Attempt 2 my son wanted fish tacos.. Those again good to go, I decided to try something else so I ordered the chicken taquitos and a carnitas taco. Taquitos by far the worst I've ever had! I couldn't even get through the second bite. Carnitas taco were very dry. Attempt 3 my son again wanted the fish tacos and I decided not to try anything else. Got home and fish tacos were made completely different than before... Melted Cheese, no sauce and completely nasty. 3 chances is all I can give. Lets face it the Mesa isn't going to ever have a decent Mexican joint up here. Maybe I expect to much from Mexican food joints, given that I was born and raised in San Diego. Want some real Mexican food go to SD! read more

Best burrito we've ever had. Made a slight error on my carna asada fries, but quickly remade them! Great service.

Monarcas Tacos - Chorizo sope with red and green sauce - Tacos Near Me - Hesperia, California

All praises for Monica's Tacos to be at the right place in the middle of nowhere. My client was a few blocks away and I needed a restroom where two other establishments in this heck of a place wouldn't allow me the use of theirs even though it entered my mind to inquire about the 4 acre lots being advertised for sale all over town. Good thing this taco place is here specially when their air conditioning is just the right temperature compared to the searing heat outside. It was empty when I got in but a family came and so did a dude who ordered a beer. Their decorations are geared toward the biker crowd. And they have an ice cream station for the kids. I guess this is the family fun day place for life in the boonies. Definitely this town need more restaurant entrepreneurs like Monica. Maybe I can put one up in my four acre ranch. read more

Second time going here, first time it was barely worth eating. We decided to give them another chance . I ordered shrimp cocktail, shrimp was decent size but only 6 in the cup, as far as the rest I did not even finish it. Wife got carne asada fries she said they were delicious. Daughter got hamburger and fries, she said it was a 5 on a scale 1-10. I was going to give them 3 stars but the customer service was terrible, when I asked for my receipt she said she could not give me one because the transaction was already completed. But my understanding is you can't get a receipt until the transaction is completed. Then the customer after me was asked if he wanted a receipt and she gave him one. Then when we got our food my Waite asked for our daughter's drink and she was a bit sarcastic saying the cup is over there. .... I'm like wow, I'm a business owner and if my employees spoke to paying customers like that.... Let's just say they would not have a job. So many people out there out of work and would love to have a job. We will never eat at Monica's ever again and will be sure to let my customers know how we were treated . read more

I keep it simple. Just carne asada tacos, chips and salsa. Every time Ive enjoyed the food. I get it to go and never have to wait too long.

I have ate here a few times with my daughter who loves the food. Tacos for good!

You know. I hate to make a review based on a bad order but if you're like me and love going here you probably already know. If you order anything special like no salsa or extra bacon your order will most likely get completely f@&$. I hate. Hate . Hate. Driving all over he way home to find out my order is messed up. Hasn't happened once not twice but multiple times. read more

If I could leave negative stars I would. This place is NEVER open. The hours aren't posted so you don't know when they open or close. When they are open the staff is completely rude. The food isn't good, the tacos are dinky and the salsa sucks. read more

Great place, good food, and quick service. Shoutout to the two brothers who work there!

Been here a few times and had decent service and food until tonight. Walked in and asked about dessert menu(I wanted a churro) , they don't have one. O.k. no problem, moving forward. I'll get a steak burrito but can I get the rice on the side because i don't like it in my burrito? Lady says no, if you don't want it inside you don't get it at all. Okkkkk. I'll look at something else. My daughter orders for the rest of our to go order which is 3 chkn taco plates and she says "were out of chicken"??? What! At 4 pm on a saturday? Why don't you have this posted on the door out front or tell us when we're looking at the menu before we order. Seriously the only thing I heard from the cashier was no no no. Got any other words in your vocabulary? We're never coming back ! read more

My office is right next door and I always go there. Everyone in my office loves that place! They are always super nice too

I used to love this place. We would go a couple times a week. Now with different hours closing at 7pm it's hard to get their in time and when we do go it seems like they are always out of stuff like tonight we went and they were out of chicken and beans and the ceviche was frozen. Please where coming in at 630 and very upset that a Mexican restaurant would be out of bean and chicken. Monica used to be my favorite but I think I'm gonna have to start looking for a new place to eat. I hope the manager sees this and does something to improve the food.. sorry for the bad reviews. read more

Been coming here since they opened and it is our favorite go-to on those nights when making dinner is just out of the question! You can dine-in or carry out. Food is always perfect. Service is always friendly. You can even call your orders in ahead of time. They will even change the channel on the TV of you decide to dine in. :-) Family of 5 generally runs is about $35 for dinner. Definitely worth it! read more

I went in at 6:50 pm on a Saturday evening to buy 6 burritos And 12 tacos with drinks for my family to go. I was on my way from work and my home is 1 minute away in the mesa. I was greeted by a young lady who said we are closed. I asked what time do you close she said 7. I looked around and it looked like she had been closing down for the last 20 minutes , all the chairs were up on the tables. It's a shame they don't need the money and could care less about staying open until there closing time states. I just want the owners to know they lost around 50 dollars from me tonight and I will not be patronizing this place any time soon. I'll take my family out to a place that wants my business. read more

Every time I order one chicken taco and an order of Carne Asada fries. Love this place!
