They should adjust their advertised business hours. This is the second time I have arrived right at 10am, attempting to be in and out. The first time I waited about 15 mins and I'm currently 25 mins into waiting. This is my hair after the highlight and keratin treatments I've had done. I got the treatment one week ago and used the products she recommended and sold to me from her salon. I called her and asked if she could fix it because this is not what i asked for. I wanted deep brown hair with highlights, and I got orange. Keratin treatment is supposed to straighten my hair for ~3 months and get rid of frizz. Decide for yourself if this is worth it. read more

Threading was amazing! My eyebrows were shaped perfectly! I also got a facial which felt great and my skin looked great! Great service!

I had eye lash extensions put it. It was put in terribly and there was black glue stuck in my lashes- both eyes. I asked if it can be fixed and I was told that is how it it is done. I'm 100% sure no one spends $25 to get visible glue stuck all over their eyelashes. The brand of lashes used was crap too. They were very heavy and cheap quality. I removed the lashes with makeup remover in less than 24 hrs after having them attached. Huge waste of time and money!! read more

Went in to get my hair curled and my daughters hair straightened. The curls were wayyyyyy tight and the lady sprayed a whole ton of hairspray in my hair to the point it looked cakey and foul. My daughters hair was fine I guess. But then when I went to pay, she charged me DOUBLE THE PRICE for my daughters hair, for absolutely no reason. They are great for eyebrow threading, been coming for years. I've also had great Brazilian waxes for great price but just had a very different experience. I think the woman was new. She put hard wax on every hair on my left side at the beginning and tried to use one strip to get all the hair at once...I have gotten many waxes and ended up screaming and crying and having skin torn. Had to have parts of the strip cut off. Did not let then do my left side. The woman kept assuring me she knows what she is doing but it is never ok to tear off alllll of the hair on one side in one go... read more

This is a great threading and waxing salon. I stumbled upon it by accident and you really have to look in the corner of the plaza in order to find it. The gals here are trained well and very friendly. The place is designed in such a way that there are numerous little rooms so that there is privacy between each client which is nice compared to most Indian salons where the threading chairs are all lined up next to each other in a row. (Typical in the Patel plaza on Scott Blvd where service is really hit or miss). What really sets apart Mona salon is that they have "coupon" deals where you pay in advance for bundles of threes--ie I paid $50 for 3 half-leg waxes and $60 for 3 full face threadings which is really a great deal when you do the math. The results are pretty good too overall and they use rose water on your skin after each threading. No appt necessary and I believe they do hair cuts and color and facials too. They will be a bit salesy pushing the coupons deals but that's their job and they're right--they do save you a lot of money! read more

I was referred by a friend to try out this salon for threading. I walked into the salon where there were several women working and I was completely ignored. Not even a "Hi. We will be right with you. What do you need today?" Nothing. I waited at the front counter for a few minutes and then took a seat where 5 minutes later I was asked to sit in a chair. Still, not asked what I needed. The woman that helped me was very quick and thorough and while paying, tried to upsell their coupon cards. I told her I was going to pass and left. Not even a thank you. While the women helping me were nice enough, they were extremely stingy with the wax strips when I was getting my waxing done here. I've been waxing for a number of years and kept telling them that there was too much wax after the same strip had been used several times. The lady helping me kept saying, 'oh don't worry about it'...in the end, I had several pieces of skin actually ripped from my body because they were too busy worrying about saving money on the strips they used. Extremely unprofessional- I called them a day ahead and made an appointment with Mona for a party make up. I told her I was time bound and needed to get to a party. She said everything's ok and when I reached there the day 10 minutes before the day of the appointment, the staff mentioned Mona cannot be there and that they would take care. Made me wait 20 minutes and when I said I was time bound said they had just ordered a make up kit and it would take 10 minutes to come. She could have at least called me earlier and cancelled or made some preparation. They spoilt my party in the last minute. Horrible service. read more

I found this spot on Online when looking for a keratin treatment. They had good reviews so I took my chances. Big mistake. Don't go here unless your white and your hair is already bone straight. I have been to many salons and never had an issue but evidently something is wrong with curly hair. Mona informed me I should marry a guy with straight hair so my kids hair won't be so curly. She began the process and stopped halfway after informing me that she couldn't straighten my hair. She still charged me half price which I willingly paid but in reality I should have just left. My hair was fine going in and now it's a mess until I find time to do it myself or hire a legitimate stylist to finish the job. She says she has been in business 6 years but I'm confused, in 6 years have you never touched ethnic hair?!!! I wasn't going to write a review but in hindsight the unprofessionalism was more than any paying customer should deal with. I don't treat myself to often to anything usually. But I have a special event to attend and needed to get my eyebrows arched. I tried the threading for the very first time and had a Henna tattoo put on my wrist for the event. I was greeted immediately. I didn't wait but a few minutes. I received excellent service the entire visit. My service provider walked me through the threading and did it at my pace (arching always makes me sneeze with waxing and now threading, took a few sneeze breaks). She explained my henna tattoo and told me how to care for it etc. It was awesome. Im taking my daughter there next week for all her prom preparation. Very reasonable pricing. Will go there from now on when I want to treat myself again. One thing I really liked was being able to purchase future services at a discount. I bought 3 eyebrow services for $20. I usually pay $10 to $15 per service. This allowed me to save quite a bit. I applaud this business and hope they continue to provide top notch services and products. Excellent! read more
