Now left with needing to find an actual blonde specialist. I wanted Ash blonde and she decided to color my hair chocolate brown instead which makes no sense. I booked a color service with Courtney and although she was very kind there are a few things I did not like. 1. Prior to coming in we did a virtual consultation where she saw the length of my hair. During the consult she made no mention of my hair length equating to an up charge. When I get there the price of my hair goes from $350 to somewhere between $400-$425 because it's long. She also made mention of my deposit then stating it would be closer to 400...ok cool. My thing is why not state that during the consult that my total would be more because my hair is longer. Nowhere on her booking site does it say there will be long hair up charge or anything like that. 2. She never factored in my deposit. At the end of my service she stated the price was $425 yet I paid a $25 deposit already; so shouldn't it have been 400? Plus the $25 deposit she received? Why is it $450 in total including my deposit? She basically up charged a full $100 which I would've been fine with if a proper discussion was had before I got there. Why not factor in the deposit at all? 3. Although my hair is cute it is not the color I wanted. When we were at the shampoo bowl she kept asking me how ash I wanted it. All the pics I sent showed very ASH blonde hair. Of course I wanted it as ashy as possible. She did not follow the suggestions, resulting in the first round of toner leaving my hair so warm we had to do it again because I didn't want warm tones. Now after reviewing the inspiration pictures I sent, I saw the video and that colorist was able to achieve a cool tone the first time on a virgin dark haired client. It makes me wonder what he did that she didn't do? I don't think she understood how ash I wanted it. She mentioned some clients not understanding how dark that makes it but I know I wanted ash, I love ash blonde as a dark skin girl I don't want warm toned blonde. All in all I would probably not go back here. The place is very clean. I also feel like she assumed I had $$ because I'm a housewife. She kept mentioned my husband paying for it which leads me to believe she thought she could up charge me just cause with no issue. And saying I should ask for a hair allowance to "come see her" just very weird comments from someone who doesn't understand lifestyles. Taking a look at her work I should've realized she's never colored anyone to ash blonde. She was out of her depth hair color wise and I should be went to a blonde specialist smh. Now I'm left with this ugly golden brown when I never wanted my hair golden at all!
