Clean restaurant, convenient location near a large parking garage, immediate and attentive service, good food, and relatively reasonable price point. It was perfect for a quick dinner before we went to see Cirque de Soleil Kooza at the Pier!

**Rating the experience with a small child** It's such a bummer that I have to give this place a low rating. I really wanted to give more, but my son got a really bad tummy ache and he could barely walk. I'm not sure what caused it, but the only two things that I did not eat were the tamago sushi and chicken teriyaki (that was off the menu). At the very beginning my son said the tamago didn't taste really good, so he only ate one. And because they didn't have chicken karage, the kitchen made him an off-the-menu dish of chicken teriyaki. At first I thought it was nice, but then I started thinking about the ingredients of it was off-the-menu. It didn't look very appetizing, but he ate it anyway as he was hungry. My Candy Roll and edamame were fine, and so were the mochi ice cream. Can't really screw up the mochi! Service was really nice and prompt; so it's unfortunate to have to give it a lower rating. My son demanded that we give them 1 star as he was in pain, but I thought the service made up for at least another. Unfortunately we will not be back.

I ordered the Unagi Donburi and a salmon roll. The eel was warm and just melted in your mouth. I wish there were more eel because it was just that good. There was a hefty amount of rice underneath the salad too. The rice bowl was filling. The salmon roll did not disappoint either and was a nice add-on to complete the meal. Next time, I would order a miso soup with this combination. The place is small and cozy. The total for this meal was ~25 excluding tip.

This is a barely visible sushi place located in the heart of Santa Monica. The seatings are limited and the entire area is performed in "L" shape. The interior is ok but need a renovation. The service is fast and friendly. This place has been around for a while and I visited it in the past. Usually my go to is Dragon Roll but this time I decided to try Miso Soup , classic eel roll (they have a fancy name for it that I dont remember) and Baked Mussels. Miso soup contained mushrooms and had a very rich flavor. Rolls were amazing, very tasty. The downside were mussels that were chewy and pretty bland. You have to try their rolls

This place is like a hole in the wall, it's a small restaurant, with amazing service. I had great recommendations from our waiter. Everything was fantastic, their rolls are so fresh and packed with delicious flavor, not to mention their spicy tuna was superb.

The staff was attentive and kind in their service. Also coming from a place where sushi is all you can eat, I'm always a bit skeptical when trying a la carte sushi places. Thankfully the rolls were huge and you get a good price for your money, the ambiance did feel a little dark but other than that everything was well prepared

Ok spoooot! This was a cute little restaurant where my two friends and I ate after the beach. It was looking more of like "get your sushi to go" type of place. We ended up sitting down, however three people took over the whole sushi bar, maaaaybe you could fit one more without it started to feel cluttered. if you're trying to do a sit down, I would say this is more for couple or trio group.. anything more than that might be a bit of a struggle/wait. The food was absolutely delicious, it was quick and tasted fresh! Miso soup was spectacular! Even had full mushrooms in the soup which I believe gave it flavor. The crispy tuna rice is was a perfect balance of the crisp with the rice in the middle thought it was 9/10! And the sushi's overall were top notch. The waitress was attentive and super nice. Since it was our first time, she really helped us out on her suggestions (she obviously suggested right hehe). This place is mainly for the food, not much of the location or ambiance.

    Futo maki and California mango

Ordered takeout while I charged at the nearby EVgo station. Friendly and quick service, fresh rolls, packaged well and a great experience overall. The mango California roll was phenomenal and futon maki was a bit small, but quite good. Reasonably priced for Santa Monica and would definitely recommend!

Easy and tasty sushi roll place. Nothing extraordinary about the service or ambiance, but pleasant and I will be back again when i run errands around the area. My parents really enjoyed this place.

Came after reading the reviews and definitely ordered right thanks to the recommendations. Will certify that the Love Potion and Amazing Kiss rolls were great. Really also like the basic California roll which had great flavor. Service was cordial and kind. My only critique would be that the interior ambiance could use a fresh take.

From the moment we sat down, everything was just perfect. The sushi was absolutely outstanding -- fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The sauces were on another level, perfectly complementing every single bite. Everything we ordered was delicious, and you can tell real care goes into every dish coming out of that kitchen. The ambiance was really lovely too -- warm, comfortable, and inviting. The kind of place where you just settle in and feel good being there. It made the whole evening that much more enjoyable for the whole family. Now here's what made this visit truly special -- there was a robot server delivering sushi right to the table! My 2-year-old was completely glued to it -- wide eyes, the biggest smile, entertained the entire meal. As any parent knows, keeping a toddler happy at a restaurant is half the battle, and Mikomi made that effortless and fun. The human staff were also incredibly warm and attentive, making us feel genuinely welcomed the whole time. If you want top-tier sushi and a dining experience that's fun for the whole family, Mikomi Sushi is an absolute must. We will definitely be back! P.S. -- My wife loved it so much that she visited twice on her own while I was at work. I think that says everything you need to know.

It's a small place, but the energy is always good. The first time we had an energetic and friendly hostess. This time we had a server named Cami (hope I spelled it right). Ambiance is good. We'll definitely be back. And maybe one night it'll be for a nice dinner, not happy hour. But again, expensive so that's a consideration.

They consistently bring everything out promptly, and they always remember the small details, like bringing me extra ginger without having to ask. It's efficient without ever feeling rushed. One of my favorite things to do is swap the crab hand roll for scallops, in my opinion, the scallops are the standout and absolutely worth the substitution. They're delicate, buttery, and perfectly balanced with the warm rice. Also, the sauce from the first tuna appetizer is so good that I intentionally save it to dip other pieces in throughout the meal. It elevates everything. Every visit feels seamless, delicious, and reliable. It's simple, high quality sushi done exceptionally well. I have been here twice, and this place is seriously good…read more My first visit was fantastic. We were on a girls' weekend in L.A. and spent the day touring my daughter's friend around all the famous landmarks the city has to offer. After driving out to the Santa Monica Pier, we had worked up a serious appetite. A quick Yelp search led us to this ramen restaurant, and we whipped the car around and made a beeline straight for it. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted and seated on the patio. We were hoping for seats near the fire pit, but those are definitely a hot commodity and fill up fast. Our server was quick, friendly, and helpful with menu suggestions. I ordered the Spicy Vegan Creamy Ramen. The menu offers a wide variety of options, and I was really impressed with how accommodating they are for meatless diners. They have several vegetarian and vegan choices, and most dishes can be modified for most dietary preferences. Our food came out quickly, piping hot, and beautifully presented. One bite of my ramen and I was instantly in heaven. It was so good that I finished the entire bowl in record time. I would have ordered a second one, but I was completely full. I honestly feel like I could eat this every day of my life and never get tired of it. Our server kept our glasses full and checked on us regularly. The service was top-notch and made a relaxing end to a long day of sightseeing. It truly was an awesome experience. On my second visit, I was in town with my family, and I told them we were not leaving L.A. without eating here first. We came on a Saturday, and the restaurant was pretty packed. We waited about 15 minutes for a table, and to my surprise, we scored the fire pit seats I had wanted so badly the first time. Sitting next to the fire, feeling the warmth and watching the flames dance in the evening air, made the experience even more special. The second visit was just as great as the first. Great service, a relaxing atmosphere, and incredible food from start to finish. I truly enjoyed every minute of it. What more could you ask for? I highly recommend Jinya Ramen Bar. Trust me, it is absolutely worth it.

We were lucky to find a metered parking that already had money in it, yay! There are a bunch of eateries on this street as well. It's a small restaurant inside, but more space outside. Not that busy at all, there were only 2 other parties dining at the same time as us during prime dinner time. I saw they were running a Demon Slayer promotion and I wanted the free spoon haha. So I ordered the Tokyo Yatai Ramen and my friend ordered the Birria Ramen. The waiter or owner(?) who talk our order was also very nice! Very quick and efficient with our order. It didn't take too long for our ramen to be prepared. First glance, it doesn't look like your traditional ramen. It actually looks more Chinese style ramen. Especially the noodles? The texture is not quite the same as traditional ramen shops (and I have been to Japan). The ramen bowl itself was pretty simple, strong flavors from the chicken broth, the pork itself was pretty alright. It's honestly pretty standard but does not have a Japanese feel to it. I tried my friend's Birria Ramen and it's literally tastes like a taco in a bowl haha, which is pretty accurate. So even my Chinese friend likes the birria ramen because it reminds of her this Chinese instant noodle she always has lol. So I guess meaning in a good and bad way, but she still enjoyed it. Overall, the whole experience was not bad. I do only see JINYA in the more 'whiter' communities, so I find this to be not very authentic Japanese ramen. Also it's pricy for what it is when I can get an authentic bowl for $16.
