My friend however tried a sip of my broth, spit it out and said poison poison because of the heat Mind you, his King of Kings was a level 1. Which to me tasted creamy and delicious. I love a good pork bone soup and I opted for the Spicy Charsu because of the pork bone base. I loved the broth. It was perfection. The noodles were so fresh . The portion size was enormous. I kept eating and more noodles appeared. The Charsu had an amazing flavor to it . Smoky and delicious . My friend is a larger man and even he commented on the portion size saying he would be ok with a smaller size as he was so full. Good portions for your money. We also had the Gyoza and the TakoYaki. The TakoYaki was soft and loaded with the delicious sauce. The Gyoza were enormous. We were both 100% satisfied with our visit and will be back for sure.

The broth was magma red, but it was not as spicy as I thought it would be. Don't get me wrong, it was spicy but not to the point where it would warrant a warning. The spicy broth tasted like a mix of Buldak sauce and Capsaicin, but didn't have much depth. I finished my ramen, broth and all and enjoyed most of the experience. The least favorite was the chasu and the egg as chasu did not taste fresh, and I could not taste the char on them at all. The egg was over-cooked and under marinated which was disappointing. It's still one of the few ramen options in Durham but can't say it's comparable to the other Kenzo locations.

This place is bright and clean and simple without over-essentializing decorations. Genuine. Refreshing as well. What makes here more special is their Bun rieu. It's not overly sour and to me it was the perfect flavor profile. It was thick and loaded with tofu and chicken. The Bombay Chicken and Zen Special Chicken were both flavorful and unique chicken dishes. The crispy ginger beef was cooked to perfection; i'd definitely order it again. If you're looking for something tasty to drink their mango Lassi is superb. It's sweet and creamy. I loved it! The Thai Milk Tea was also a knock out. It was sooo good!!!
