The ambiance was great, but the restaurant was quite noisy, so be prepared for that. The Fusion Vada Pav was okay and different from others I've tried, but it wasn't anything special. The Burning Train had a great presentation, but the chicken was very dry and the flavor was disappointing. The Mutton roast with chur chur naan tasted good, but it had way too much oil or ghee. The Shammi Kapoor Chicken was also very dry and lacked flavor. I had heard a lot about this place and was excited to try it, but overall, the food did not meet my expectations. We were disappointed enough that we skipped dessert and called it a day. Unfortunately, I don't think we'll be coming back.

We were in the area and decided to finally give Samburna a try. I've been hearing about this place…read morefor a while, so it had been on our list for some time. It's a small, casual restaurant, and overall, I'm glad we checked it out. The food was very tasty, with a few hits and misses. One thing that took some getting used to was the ordering process--you scan the QR code at the table, order everything online, and pay before your food even arrives. Not necessarily bad, just a little different for a sit-down restaurant. We ordered the idiyappam with coconut milk after seeing the photo on the menu, but apparently that's not actually how it's served. The portion of coconut milk that came with it was tiny, so we asked for another cup, which they graciously brought out. The medhu vada was crisp and delicious. The Gobi 65 was a little too dry for me, although it was very crispy and almost more like a pakoda. The Mysore masala dosa was just okay. The dosa itself was excellent, but the masala could have been more flavorful--and there was surprisingly little masala for such a huge dosa. The burnt garlic noodles were probably my least favorite. They tasted like fairly standard Indo-Chinese noodles, and I really didn't get much of that burnt garlic flavor I was expecting. But the parotta with egg pepper curry was the winner. Spicy, flavorful and SO good. Definitely my favorite thing we ordered. And the mango lassi was exactly what a mango lassi should be. No complaints there. Service was quick and courteous, and despite a few dishes that didn't quite wow us, there was enough good food here to make me glad we finally stopped in. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the Bothell area and craving South Indian food.

Service- I had a lady (assuming the owner), she was a bit pushy in having us order more. Other than that nobody bothered us during our meal. We had zero check ins during our meal but there was a couple right next to us and almost every server there, and another family that had all their attention. Place- it can get a bit crowded and feel like the tables are set a little too close together. Overall, come for food.

Their cuisine is very specific. - goat biriyani and goat curry are delicious. I also liked their meat to rice ratio for the chicken biriyani. CONS: - outrageous prices for the amount of food. I ordered goat curry and the size of the container was way small. Giving me an entry sized dish in a side dish container is an immediate issue for me. I paid over 80 worth of food and feel lit was not worth it. The goat curry had a lot of large bones too so that made it worse. I got more bones than meat. - overtly spiced and too salty. I liked their goat dum biriyani but did not like the rest. The biriyani appears to be over spiced that's not completely simmered, cooked down or blended. You're essentially eating straight up spice which is pretty gross. This is a personal preference, I like my dishes spicy but I don't like it overwhelmingly spicy where it overtakes the dish and all you're tasting is uncooked blend of spices that heat up your stomach & hurts digestion. Others may like their dishes as is. I'm not in that boat. - I paid $8 for goat haleem that was given in a tiny sauce container. that was so not worth the money or the dish. Their prices are completely off. I don't recommend this place, my search for decent biriyani from regional places continues. I just went authentic biriyani that tastes good, is reasonably priced, with good meat to rice ratio. It's 2026 people, shouldn't be this hard!

We liked the Chicken 65 Biryani, the rice was flavorful, the Chicken 65 wasn't the usual but tasted good. The standout item for us was the Raagi Mudda w/ Mutton curry. It wasn't the typical Karnataka style Raagi Mudda, we were told it was Andra style, we loved it. We also got Boondi Laddoo, and mixture to go. We loved the Boondi Laddoo, the mixture was okay.

The place had been recommended to us by a friend of Indian descent who told us it came closest to "the flavors of home." My wife loved her dish, the name of which I can't remember, but my Mango Chicken was out of this world! Both were spiced perfectly to our requests, which is important. The restaurant is unpretentious in a small strip mall and is clearly a family-run business. It wasn't crowded when we were there so we had a chance to speak with a couple of family members, and we told them how special we thought he food was. In fact, it is the best-tasting Indian food we've had after trying about a half-dozen other Indian restaurants in the area. And this one is close to home... We'll be back again and again! VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
