Hubby and I went for a day date on a Sun afternoon after driving back from Lake Huron. He had the super dark fudge chocolate. I can't remember the name. I had a scoop of the coffee chocolate crunch and a scoop of the sea salt caramel. Both amazing but the sea salt caramel was my fave! They also had another one of my faves: Traverse City Cherry with Mackinac Fudge. YUM!! They also offer three types of cones and four sizes of cups. There was a young high school girl working and the writing on the wall talks about "My grandma...". I meant to ask if she was related to"that" grandma but after that first bite of ice cream, I forgot lol! Check this place out if you're in Cheboygan! Life is too short to skip dessert!!!

Nice selection of salt water taffy, candy, caramel corn and ice cream. They even have an arcade. Where they got marked down was that I found the caramel corn that they make in St. Ignace 200 miles away at half the price. I know there is a mark up for the tourist in Mackinaw City but c'mon. I didn't buy any fudge because Joann's has that market cornered. Street parking. Organized and clean. Lackadaisical staff. If you go be ready to pay up.

Staff was very friendly and patient with the chaos in the store. The place is pretty big, and a little confusing with two separate lines, plenty of people and you still want to see what baked goods they have. And they do carry a huge selection of baked goods. We got a breakfast burrito, bagel with avocado and tomato (vegan), giant cinnamon roll, apple fritters, one regular coffee and iced matcha latte with oat milk. Total $35 plus they charge you for cc payment. Not cheap. The bagel was delicious, chewy and fresh, hubby enjoyed the burrito even if a little small for the price, , the apple fritter was too dry, not many apples were there. Cinnamon roll very good. Iced matcha was good, but the coffee was very mediocre. They have a huge sitting area where we relaxed and enjoyed our food.

But if that is the case, then I must not like "traditional" fudge because this was one of the best I have ever had. We also had ice cream there during one of our trips, and my son said it was the best he ever had. I believe it was some sort of birthday cake flavor, or something with frosting mixed in. I took a bite and would agree that it was pretty amazing. We will be back in the area next summer, and I'm already looking forward to what I will try next.

Secondly, they do not offer any smaller sizes of each flavor, only a giant slice of something you don't even know if you're going to like because .... they don't offer samples. And thirdly, the workers are beyond rude. I get the fact that you deal with hundreds upon hundreds of people a day but you need to realize that for each one of us, this is an experience we have been eagerly anticipating. So reluctantly,I purchased three giant slices because they had a buy 2 get a 3rd half off deal. The fourth disappointment came when I tasted it, it was so dry that I regretted buying them. I gave them 2 stars instead of one because I did enjoy watching them make the fudge, that was interesting.

They have several different flavors which made it difficult to choose, but we went with the peanut butter chocolate chunk. When I say these cookies are massive, I mean they are like the size of my face. I thought there's no way we need more than one, we will just share... well we should have gotten more than one, because while we did share, I really wanted more of those cookies for later. The texture of this cookie was perfection, and my favorite kind of cookie, with slightly crisp edges and a chewy center. The peanut butter flavor was the right level, and the chocolate chunks were delicious. The employees working were so helpful, sweet, and patient while I tried to decide which ONE cookie I was going to order. (again... I should have gotten more than one!) The owner was there and was so sweet, chatting with us about baking, her business, and living on the island. She posts fun videos on social media about her life living on Mackinac Island year-round and said their business (currently in its second season) is booming! I was afraid the pancakes and french toast would be super sweet, but they weren't. The pancakes were fluffy and not too sweet. The toppings were well incorporated and not over powering. The French toast was perfectly cooked and not too big. The whipped cream was delicious and not overly sweet. I was afraid the coffee would be mediocre, but it was perfect. I wish I lived here so I could try more of the menu! Our server, Audley, was polite, understood the menu, and timely. It was the best breakfast I have ever had, so I wanted to make sure the staff knew what a great time I had. I asked to speak to the manager. Yelp is fine, but I strongly believe in paying compliments directly to those in charge. The manager could not have been less interested in talking to me. A middle aged, medium height, average sized, medium blonde haired woman with large earrings, anxious eyes, and a false smile... she was quick to come over and quick to ignore me. She made minimal eye contact, turned her body away from me, and proceeded to pick up plates before I had finished my sentence. She turned her body away before I was done speaking. As soon as she felt I had spoken long enough, she left. It was a strange experience for an otherwise pleasant meal. If I lived closer, I'd likely choose somewhere else for future breakfasts. When management isn't interested in doing their job, service tends to follow. It's too bad. If only she had managed to stand still, face me, and listen... I might have given this a five star review.

This is the only shop that offers an all caramel fudge block. They don't offer an extensive amount of fudge, but they have a ton of popcorn and taffies. An entire wall of different flavored taffies. The caramel fudge is unique and only available here. I do enjoy caramel flavored candies. Caramels make everything a lot yummier. Their caramel and cheese popcorn kernels are quite sizable and very tasty. Their caramel fudge is different, let it melt in your mouth some. The taffies are quite a variety of flavors. Some are really good, the caramel apple is right on the money. Some have hints of flavors, but aren't as distinguishable. This is the same taffy sold at Joann's, since the packaging is exactly the same. The assortment of dark chocolates are decent. Their cheese and caramel popcorn are both good.
