After a long walk downtown in Saint Ignace, my husband and I were hot and craving something cool. We decided to check out this small ice cream shop just before closing time. Although they didn't have a huge selection left, the worker was super friendly, and the prices were very affordable. We enjoyed the cookies and cream flavor, and it was absolutely delicious! This place was so cute and perfect! It can get busy, but the line moves quickly. I enjoyed the prices and flavor options. Everything I tried was delicious, and I appreciated how friendly the staff was. Right outside is a small park overlooking the water, which was gorgeous. They had some very interesting flavors - Paradise Blueberry Waffle Cone, Michigan Pot Hole, Carrot Cake, Campfire Smores, Traverse City Cherry Amaretto, Zanzibar, Superman, and Blue Moon for examples. Pricing is very reasonable - a small cup (with two scoops) is just $3.75. It was very tough deciding on a flavor. We ended up with a two-scoop small cup of Carrot Cake over Traverse City Cherry Amaretto. I went with a double scoop of Paradise Blueberry Waffle Cone because I was enchanted by their description - "Premium Blueberry Ice Cream with a blueberry swirl and chocolate covered waffle cone pieces". I loved that Blueberry ice cream; great flavor and those chocolate waffle chunks really added a ton of flavorful crunch. My family and I came here for a last minute ice cream treat after touring Mackinac island. We found that they had gluten free waffle cones which is amazing for my family. As we have 3 people who are all gluten free. They have such fun flavors that are delicious tasting and amazing! Going on the list to come again when we visit. Stopped by while in St. Ignace for a camping trip. There are many unique & tempting flavors to pick from. Ice cream scoops are very generous & the prices are reasonable. We lucked out & didn't have to wait long to be served. The shop offers indoor, covered outdoor & open outdoor seating with views of the lake & ferry boats headed to the island. It was a nice treat on a lovely summer day. read more

My husband was craving ice cream, and who am I to say no? We stopped here as a last Hurray to the summer, day after Labor Day. Staff is NOT friendly. These young ladies are serving ice cream, not scrubbing toilets. The ice cream is always very good. Staff is never ever smiling. I ordered a mixer for a change of pace. It had about 4 bags of m&ms in it, and I almost brought it back because it was almost impossible to eat. read more

Oh man. We went here two years ago and my soft serve was so bad that I threw it out. I love ice cream and usually can tolerate bad ice cream. This stuff went to the birds. This year we went again and I decided to get hand scooped ice cream (basic, not too great), and my my decided to test her luck with the banana frozen yogurt. For starters, they gave her strawberry instead, but she decided to take a lick and did exactly what I did: threw it to the birds. Seriously, how do you screw up ice cream? read more

One of the probably better choices in a sea (more like puddle) of options in the immediate area north of the bridge. Lots of interesting flavors we wouldn't always find back home. The menu was actually kind of fun and made choosing what to get difficult. Kind staff. Great all weather seating overlooking the lake. Everyone left happy. The family and I were looking for a place to grab a sundae and some cones which brought us to Molly Moo's. The place looked nice from the outside and had outdoor seating. There was no clear parking lot so we parked in the chamber of commerce lot. First thing I noticed was the lack of customer service.thw kids working the counter didn't know how to say "hi how can I help you". After I had given them our order without being ask what we wanted, I had to tell them we needed to pay for the food. Really?! Everyone else ordered cones and I had the turtle sundae. Hard to screw up the cones but they made up for it on the sundae. The hot fudge was replaced by chocolate syrup. Lame. I don't recommend this place. read more

I didn't take pictures but we stopped here after a mediocre pastie lunch to go enjoyed in the bay. With a group of 5 I e pecked someone to complain. Nope, very very friendly and delicious ice cream selections. Peanut butter mackinaw fudge, Michigan pothole, cool mint cookie, cowpachino & mine a chocolate malt. HUGE portions! They had a long line, but the young staff working there handled it like pros. I ordered a scoop of cookies & cream in a waffle bowl. One scoop was the equivalent of about two and a half regular-sized scoops. The only thing that I would change would be the bowl size. The waffle bowl didn't quite fit right into the bowl they provided. It was too big and therefore awkward to eat. read more

Excellent service, some of the best ice cream I've had. Not that soft serve crap, but actual authentic ice cream. Sooo many flavors, had a hard time choosing. The staff was wonderful and even though we went in a large group, served us with patience and kindness. The sundae was twice as big as I expected for the price. I got the regular Mackinac Island Fudge ice cream, and it was good. The toppings were run-of-the-mill. The service was polite and efficient. As someone who used to manage an ice cream shop, I think they did a fine job. They have outdoor seating with a nice view of the lake. Hubby and I went for a day date on a Sun afternoon after driving back from Lake Huron. He had the super dark fudge chocolate. I can't remember the name. I had a scoop of the coffee chocolate crunch and a scoop of the sea salt caramel. Both amazing but the sea salt caramel was my fave! They also had another one of my faves: Traverse City Cherry with Mackinac Fudge. YUM!! They also offer three types of cones and four sizes of cups. There was a young high school girl working and the writing on the wall talks about "My grandma...". I meant to ask if she was related to"that" grandma but after that first bite of ice cream, I forgot lol! Check this place out if you're in Cheboygan! Life is too short to skip dessert!!!

Where they got marked down was that I found the caramel corn that they make in St. Ignace 200 miles away at half the price. I know there is a mark up for the tourist in Mackinaw City but c'mon. I didn't buy any fudge because Joann's has that market cornered. Street parking. Organized and clean. Lackadaisical staff. If you go be ready to pay up.

We got a breakfast burrito, bagel with avocado and tomato (vegan), giant cinnamon roll, apple fritters, one regular coffee and iced matcha latte with oat milk. Total $35 plus they charge you for cc payment. Not cheap. The bagel was delicious, chewy and fresh, hubby enjoyed the burrito even if a little small for the price, , the apple fritter was too dry, not many apples were there. Cinnamon roll very good. Iced matcha was good, but the coffee was very mediocre. They have a huge sitting area where we relaxed and enjoyed our food.

But if that is the case, then I must not like "traditional" fudge because this was one of the best I have ever had. I took a bite and would agree that it was pretty amazing. We will be back in the area next summer, and I'm already looking forward to what I will try next.

The caramel fudge is unique and only available here. I do enjoy caramel flavored candies. Caramels make everything a lot yummier. Their caramel and cheese popcorn kernels are quite sizable and very tasty. Their caramel fudge is different, let it melt in your mouth some. The taffies are quite a variety of flavors. Some are really good, the caramel apple is right on the money. Some have hints of flavors, but aren't as distinguishable. This is the same taffy sold at Joann's, since the packaging is exactly the same. The assortment of dark chocolates are decent. Their cheese and caramel popcorn are both good.
