We went through all 3 training levels with Sorcha so she really got to know and understand my dog. Now whenever we visit her at petsmart my dog gets super excited because she knows treats are around lol Petsmart grooming is also fantastic! The last 2 or 3 times my dog has seen Sabryna and she has done a fantastic job. I cannot speak on their haircuts because I have a Rottweiler so she only gets baths. From the moment we arrived, the groomer's customer service was terrible. She was neither welcoming nor friendly, and her demeanor made it seem as though she did not want to provide services to our dogs. Instead of making us feel comfortable, she appeared to be discouraging us from moving forward with their grooming appointments. We were informed that our dogs had some matting, and the groomer stated that she would try to save as much of their coats as possible but might have to do a military-style cut if necessary. However, that is not what I witnessed. She went straight to shaving my Standard Poodle without first bathing her or making any visible attempt to comb through or save her coat. Within approximately five minutes, a significant amount of her hair had already been shaved off. Both of my dogs ended up being shaved nearly bald. I understand that matting can sometimes require shaving for an animal's safety and comfort, but my concern is the apparent lack of effort to explore other options after we were told an attempt would be made to preserve their coats. What makes this experience even more frustrating is that I was charged additional dematting fees of $20 for one dog and $10 for the other, despite witnessing no attempt to demat their coats before shaving them. I was also charged a $30 late fee for arriving approximately 20 minutes late. Between the grooming services and additional charges, I paid a substantial amount of money for an experience that left me completely dissatisfied. I chose not to confront the groomer at that moment because I was extremely upset, and by then, much of the damage to their coats had already been done. As a customer, I expect professionalism, compassion, honest communication, and quality service when trusting someone with my pets. Unfortunately, this experience fell far below those expectations. I strongly believe PetSmart management needs to address both the customer service and grooming practices at this location. The groomer's attitude and handling of this appointment were not a positive representation of the company. I would not recommend this grooming experience to other pet owners, and I sincerely hope PetSmart takes this complaint seriously. Our pets deserve better, and so do paying customers.

I've kept saltwater long enough to know that livestock dies sometimes and it isn't always the…read moreshop's fault. This wasn't that. Yesterday I picked up two emerald crabs here. One was dead by the time I got home. Today I bought three pajama cardinals. I drip acclimate everything, and partway through the drip, two of the three were clearly going downhill. Not ordinary settling-in stress, but failing. I called the store, explained what I was seeing, and they told me to bring them in. The diagnosis came quickly once I got there: my salinity was 1.019, and the fish had been shocked during acclimation. On that basis they credited me for one of the two dying fish and I absorbed the other. Store credit, not a refund. What bothers me is where the 1.019 came from. They tested the bag I'd carried the fish back in, and I had filled that bag from my own display tank. Same water, two readings: 1.019 on their instrument, 1.024 on my digital meter at home, calibrated before I used it. One of those numbers is wrong. That wasn't an academic disagreement. It decided who paid. Their reading put my tank out of range, so the loss became mine, and the portion they did cover came back as credit that only spends at the shop that sold me the fish. Three of five animals in two days, and an explanation resting on a measurement a calibrated meter contradicts. There are other places to buy livestock around Gainesville and I'll be using them.
