Just used Watch City Kitchen and LeBlanc Contracting to redo our kitchen. Anna and later Rebecca…read morewere very helpful in creating the design. They understood what we wanted and suggested design that would work well. They assisted in choosing cabinetry, flooring and counter tops that all worked well together. Tom came originally to scope out the construction details and what would need to be done ex. vent for stove through attic, sub panel for electric system. Once the construction started Eric was the lead carpenter. He supervised the whole project. He was great. He kept us informed about what was happening when. He also introduced us to each of the sub contractors who came to do work. All were pleasant and professional. They put protective coverings on floors and doorways to limit dust. At the end of each day they cleaned up and vacuumed the work area. When one of the cabinet doors came in the wrong size, there was no question about replacing it. One thing I really appreciated was that construction did not start until they had received all of the cabinets, flooring, countertop etc so work went smoothly and was completed without delays.

We worked with Alyssa to help design everything, something she has great skill and a true eye for detail. She didn't try to push products or oversell us. If anything, she provided some suggestions on how to lower cost (used remnants for the quartz countertop; suggested comparing costs to Home Depot). Once the design was finalized, I was extremely impressed with Eric, the contractor who installed the island himself and oversaw the other contractors. He was excellent communicating with me each and every day. He noticed some inconsistencies in the wood on the cabinet doors of the island and immediately ordered new one (he still installed the original and came a few days later with the new doors). Everything was just so professional. I haven't had too many experiences with contractors in the past, but every one I (and my family, for that matter) have had for the most part have been negative. The project doesn't start on time, finish on time, guys no-show for no apparent reason, etc. This was the opposite. Watch City had the chance to move up the timeline, which fit into my schedule. As a result, the project was done a week early. If you're looking to do any sort of work on your kitchen, definitely give Watch City a look.

The final result is modern and highly functional while looking beautiful in an older building. Joe helped me pick materials and finishes that I would not have discovered on my own. He and his team were respectful of my home making sure that there was as little disruption as possible and wore masks and maintained distance at all times. When I miscommunicated with a house cleaner near the end of the project, Joe did much of the cleaning himself. Above and beyond. Leslie D.

I had never even owned a home, much less completely renovated a condo, so I braced myself for the worst. However, I felt a sense of confidence the moment he walked through the condo and picked up many significant points other prospective contractors had completely overlooked. Joe was clearly detail oriented, knowledgeable, and creative. He had a strong sense of good design and shared many innovative ideas for how to accomplish my goals within my limited budget. The proposal he drew up included realistic allowances for materials and hours for his crew, each of whom was clearly experienced, talented, hardworking and affable. Regardless of specific roles, everyone was willing to help out with whatever I needed. If hiring is emblematic of good management, Joe is a truly superior supervisor. Joe is also very easy to work with: approachable, open, and solutions-oriented. Joe said all the right things, reassuring me that everything would be taken care of, but his words would have been meaningless had he not delivered so completely on his promise. He took a personal interest in making sure that I was delighted with the results and I could not have been more pleased. I feel confident that if friends now ask me for a recommendation, I have someone to recommend with great assurance and enthusiasm.

The walls and floors had bad rotting and damage due to the previous owners' neglect. Henrique and his fixed the damage, made the room much more weatherproof, and made the inside far far nicer than it was before. They were supposed to build a new rubber roof. It started leaking on 3 separate occasions (which btw was never fully fixed -- we moved on to different contractors who did address the issues). And like I said, it would take months for them to actually come back and attempt to fix anything. Often they'd come by, look at the damage, then I wouldn't hear from them for multiple weeks. Meanwhile, more damage continues to accrue to the walls and ceilings. The internal fixes they applied for the water damage were just patch jobs. They just plastered and painted over. Meanwhile, the insulation behind the wall was soaked and accrued black mold that we had to address later. Also worth pointing out a major blunder at the beginning of the project (see attached videos and pics). They opened up the roof, and left it open for multiple days without doing any work. Well of course a major rainstorm came by (which was on the weather forecast well in advance). Alll that water poured into the house in the middle of the night setting off fire alarms. It was a nightmare to deal with on my end.
