We moved into our condo in 2021 and had replaced the old and rotting planks with composite soon…read moreafter we moved in; however, we were most interested in revitalizing the roof deck altogether - the railing and posts were rotted and had peeling paint, and we had minimal privacy when hosting friends and family. After speaking with several contractors, we were fortunate enough to find Leo, who gave the roof deck a complete facelift! We initially hired Leo to update the siding of our top deck and replace the door leading to the bottom deck. During our first consultation meeting with him, he had brainstormed many design concepts and ideas we had not even thought of that we ultimately went with - we highly appreciated the creativity and effort to make our image a reality. He was incredibly communicative, and we really felt like we were working as a team. We ended up having him replace the railing of our upper deck and added a privacy wall with a beautiful design. He handcrafted the railing and involved us in every step of the design process. He also replaced rotting wood that was exposed beneath the siding, fixed a broken outlet, and completely replaced a rotting window frame. He also put in place LED light strips beneath the railing to create a sense of ambience we didn't even realize we were looking for! Leo was always very transparent with the timing of each phase of this project as well as any associated costs. Leo went above and beyond and returned twice after our final payment to add some minor touch ups to ensure the deck was as picture-perfect as can be! We have many upcoming projects in our new home and hope to work with Leo on all of them. We have already begun brainstorming together what we can do with our bottom deck. We would recommend Leo a thousand times over and are looking forward to collaborating with him again!

I was skeptical at first but after talking to Bill, he quickly earned our trust and respect with his responsiveness and can-do attitude (and the website and recent/positive reviews on Yelp). Bill's estimate was very fair and prompt, so we went with Bill, and the positive Yelp reviews turned out to be true. It was easy to communicate with Bill, and he checked with us about new window availability and preference. Bill had a friendly and professional team with Mike and Marie, and they got the job done in one day. Bill also replaced a damaged flood light bulb and helped me find the right color paint without me asking. I also like to try to get involved hands on during the project, asking questions, helping with the clean up and lending a hand where I can, and Bill was cool with that. Based on my first home project, I would say BK Home Improvements is a reliable company to do business with. I feel lucky to have met them (thanks to my wife!) and we are very satisfied with the results. Looking forward to our next project (kitchen counter and some cabinet modifications)!

We hit a major hurdle when the 2020 pandemic hit, right in the middle of planning. I had to delay the project until things settled down, and throughout that entire time, they were incredibly understanding and patient. We ultimately moved forward with an addition -- essentially building a brand-new two-story house. Through every step of the process, Doug and his team were professional, punctual, and delivered quality work. Before finding Doug and Innovative, I was close to giving up hope. Most contractors I contacted were either no-shows, quoted astronomical prices, or, in one case, turned out to be a scam. Finding someone you can trust in this industry is tough, and I can say without hesitation that Doug and Innovative are the real deal. Trustworthy, reliable, and exceptional at what they do.

They exceeded our expectations and I will recommend them every chance I get. The workmanship is top notch, but here are the other things I appreciate about working with them: 1) Great process: They are on the ball. Doug and his team ran this project efficiently and effectively, finishing 1 week ahead of schedule despite that we voluntarily increased the scope of work. They took complete ownership of running the job which made things easy for us. 2) Professionalism: The right amount of communication throughout. We moved out during the work, but we always know what was happening. They sent regular progress updates with pictures; they clearly communicated what decisions we needed to make and by when; and whenever we were on the fence they gave us objective guidance/advice. 3) Doug and his team are always punctual, professional, and highly competent. They take great pride in their work, and they are experts in their field. In the end, our home is beautiful and we are really happy with the entire experience. They transformed our 1960 construction into a new house that we are proud of. I can think of several examples where they went above and beyond. I honestly don't think anyone could have done a better job.
