Getting my knives could not have been easier or faster, and at a very reasonable price. Although Moleta is not easily seen from the street, it is worth finding it. Depending on the size of your knife, the price will be charged accordingly. And the finished work is extremely sharp as a good knife should be. They also have an incredible inventory of knives, from basic to incredible. If you are looking for knives that will last not only your lifetime but your next generations, you can find the right ones here. And they are very knowledgeable so you will not be lost when trying to understand the options. You can walk in and drop off, or you can go online and reserve an appointment, which is what I did. There is also a 24-hour dropbox for extra convenience. My 4 knives were finished in under 15 minutes, and as I waited, I could watch the work being done. We showed up on a Saturday early afternoon and they were able to take us right away. Turn-around service for six knives, including a serrated tomato knife and a utility knife that needed to be retapped took 30 minutes. Alena and Jeremy were super friendly and knowledgeable, happy to show off their selections of good cutlery but not at all pushy. After all was said and done, it was less expensive than i thought it would be, and soooo worth it. I've been cooking up a storm ever since. read more

We made a last minute appointment to have our carving knife sharpened. We've had this knife for over 20 years and use it only 1-2 times a year so it had never been sharpened. Moleta took us right away and sharpened our knife in under 2 minutes. To say it is SHARP is an understatement! Did a great job with our knives, including a $300 shun knife that my husband had shredded- he put it through a pull-through sharpener and left lots of notches in the blade. To be fair, I also dropped it and nicked off about 2 mm from the tip... but she put a whole new edge on it and it came back from Moleta as good as new!! read more

Moleta is at the Thiensville Farmers Market on Tuesdays. I dropped off my knives when I got there and they were ready when I left. I brought in 2 very old knives, thinking this would be the last chance of sharpening them before having to buy new knives. After Moleta sharpened them, they were like new. The staff was very friendly and helpful and I would highly recommend Moleta for your knives. I saved lots of $$$ not having to buy new ones. read more

I have been looking for a good place to get my sharpening done for some time now. The folks at Moleta were excellent in that they came onsite; set up their sharpening tools outside; and finished sharpening an assortment of about 45 different knives, scissors, and hatchets in 2.5 hours. They also used a nice wood treatment on my knife blocks and were both friendly and courteous in all their interactions. Cannot recommend these folks enough. read more

I have brand new scissors, gardening pruners, and loppers!! I had 3 scissors, 2 thread trimmers, 2 pruning shears, and a long bladder trimmer/lopped sharpened - all for less than $70!!!! Love love love Moleta! They do great precision work, turnaround time is short (I'm a quilter & can't be without my scissors), and at a very reasonable price. We go often to the Waukesha Farmers market and noticed the Moleta Artisanal Sharpening. I stopped once and and asked what is artisanal about it. She explained it to me, nevertheless I walked away unimpressed thinking it was just marketing speak. Fast forward a month or so and I decide to take my knives in figuring they will be as good as any other sharpener I have been to. Nope! It was not just marketing speak - artisanal truly means something here. My knives looked great - better yet they were as sharp or sharper than when we bought them over 30 years ago.
