1st to say I am miffed cuz now I have to unload all of this crapola when I should've been able to…read moretake the whole maybe 2 minutes to unload all of the ready counted bagged & tagged empty recyclables!!! How stupid!! I've worked not here in Trail but other recycling gigs so I know it can be messy & time consuming therefore I take the time in the comfort of my cold drafty garage at home where I can make a couple more empties & wash my hands with my yummy smelling girly soaps & hot water!! AND the people always coming late & expecting it to be okay that they just start doing their recycling just cuz the door's open anyways NOT okay & that's where you as that stores Customer Service have the right to turn people away with some static given usually but that is life & we usually should understand,!! HOWEVER....IT IS NOT OK & JUST PLAIN SHITTY to just be closed early cuz you don't like to have to spend those few extra minutes paying out for the employees to have to "Close Shop"! Too bad, that is just tooo bad!! Today is the first time EVER in ohhh EVER that it was closed early!!?! YOU SAY WHAT??? I KNOW!! I literally live a minute & a half, ok 2 minute drive just down the street & I know they close at 4, past experience has taught me no longer 5pm, okay fine. It is usually a busy hustle bustle environment with peeps coming & going constantly & I understand that if you allow people will just keep coming & going probably all night if you don't actually close & lock the doors BUT TO HAVE DOORS & BAY DOORS DROPPED DOWN, DOORS LOCKED & CASH TILLS ALREADY CASHED OUT & SHUT DOWN BEFORE the POSTED closing time is just plain old shitty business!! The online link says OPEN - 4pm but also CLOSING SOON & it's only 3:5o or 3:55 or even 3:59 with the Main Door closed & locked & a hand written showing Store Hours with 4pm closing THAT IS SOOO NOT 4PM!! I got to the Depot, took pictures, looked at the Online info site, swore a bit, swore alot & drove off & by the time I got home it was then just 4:o2 & guess what!!? THAT IS WHEN IT IS EXCEPTABLE TO BE CLOSED because it is after 4pm!! Now i have very little to almost no gas & wasn't expecting an early closure so hopefully I don't need to get far as I won't make it so a huge eff you very much followed through with a thank you so kindly for your bullshit posted Store Hours!! I guess there's always tomorrow!! Definately NOT IMPRESSED, at ALL!! HUGE RANT OVER!! AND I did take pictures & screen shots of the time just to accredit the actual time frame & lack of a what should still be open business & my #bagged & tagged's for return...tomorrow! Someone will be lucky if they don't get this as their personal AM what not to do earful way to start their day!! (*insert middle finger here*)

I've been coming to this bottle depot for as long as I can remember…read more The staff here are usually pretty friendly and they work their asses off to get you out quick. They sort for you so all you have to do is dump your bag on the counter and away they go. The customer side of the counter is kept clean and the staff are constantly squeegeeing down the counters. The depot does have an odour of it's own, but it's not that rotten beer smell that you get at some bottle depots. I would recommend these guys any day!

Got gas? Hope so …read more.. My wife and I recently moved and bought a home in McKenzie Towne. The home we bought had an undeveloped basement - our plan was to develop it right away. Our previous home had a NG (natural gas) hookup for our NG BBQ... this house did not. I have a number of friends who work in the trades industry so I asked my friend and framing contractor (Dave Bates - Timberstone Contracting) for a Gas Fitter referral. Dave introduced me to Rick Kirkland - the owner of Protech Plumbing. After a brief call with Rick and confident he understood our needs, I agreed to his his service. Rick sent one of his crew (Jesse) to see our home and estimate the job. * instal a natural gas line to the back of the home for our BBQ * instal a NG line into the kitchen for future use of a gas range * re-run a couple existing gas lines which hadn't been ran through the floor joists Jesse quoted the work needed and Rick arranged for the city gas inspector. Rick really made it easy to work with him. Jesse was great. Not only did he do great work but he also saved us a massive headache & expense. During the installation of the NG BBQ line, Jesse noticed some condensation in the home's rim-joists. After closer review and a call the to builder, we all realized the rim-joist vapour barrier had been improperly installed! Had this gone unnoticed the condensation would have inevitably caused serious damage to our home - long after the reno - and resulting in a lot of money to correct the problem. Thanks to Jesse, this giant headache was avoided. As for the work Jesse did - fantastic. Clean, on time, and professional and as per the price quoted. Lastly, a couple weeks after the install of the NG BBQ line, I noticed the smell gas around the BBQing area. I was convinced the smell was coming from the newly installed NG hookup. I called Rick to inquire... Rick sent one of his crew the next day... and we discovered the NG hookup was just fine. The gas smell was coming from a hole in the BBQ gas hose itself (I must have damaged it during the move). Oops... my fault. Rick said "no worries"... it happens. He didn't even charge me for the service call. He should have... and would have happily paid for it. I was extremely impressed with the work and professionalism of Rick and his crew. More so, I will be forever grateful for Jesse's discovery of the condensation found in the home's rim-joists as well as the money saved from it's immediate repair (covered by my home warranty). I've since recommended Rick and the services of Protech Plumbing. They've loved Rick and his services as much as we did. I continue to confidently refer the services of Rick and Protech Plumbing. If you need a plumbing or gas fitting service, do not hesitate to give Rick a call - I guarantee you, you wont regret it.

My dealing with Protech to install a gas line for my BBQ was stress-free from the initial quote to…read morethe final handshake. Their quote was very detailed, leaving no room for misunderstanding. A technican (Jesse) showed up and gave me pricing for two options (inside and outside piping). They arranged for the city inspector to come and managed to finish the whole thing in two days. Their staff were very friendly (Rick, Sandy, Jesse, Sterling). If I had a negative comment it was about the choise of how he ran the line in a certain area (under the joist instead of above it). I left it to his professional judgement and when I thought about it after the work was done, I thought he should have done it above the joist. I should mention though that when Sterling came back to grab the gauge, he voluntarily checked my BBQ. He figured out why it was wobbly and gave me a few metal sheet screws from his van so I can tighten it up! That's added value. The final price came to exactly how the quote mentioned. I highly recommend them. I will enjoy BBQing tonight!

As with any rental company, everything depends on the resident manager. This location had an…read moreexcellent resident manager for the first 8+ years that I lived here. In the next 3 years I had 4 resident managers. None of them were even barely acceptable. The biggest problems were a total lack of availability and a total lack of maintenance. I needed to contact the resident manager for maintenance issues (quite literally) DOZENS of times in the last 3 years. For every instance, I eventually needed to go through the Boardwalk head office to have the manager contact me. Not even ONCE did any of them answer their phone. And when told to contact me by the office, it often took several days to hear from them. As for what needed maintenance: lights (I needed to fix them myself); refrigerator (it died and it took over two weeks to be replaced); damage from repair crews (I had my toilet replaced and they somehow destroyed the toilet paper holder on the wall. Two YEARS and they never fixed it!) But my biggest complaint was the temperature control... The building is heated by hot water pipes, and my apartment was the first after the hot water heater. If anyone in the building had THEIR heat on, my apartment was also heated! Major flooding issues one time, of course while I was on vacation. Repair crews needed to find a water shut off valve. Rather than check in the laundry room across the hallway, they BROKE INTO my apartment and CUT A HOLE in my bathroom ceiling. All of the water that had leaked there was emptied into my apartment. Several weeks to fix everything, while I was in a different apartment (with no phone/ internet/ TV). No reimbursement for damaged computer/ furniture/ possessions. Rent at your own risk.
