Our tenants were worried about allergies that they thought resulted from mold in the HVAC unit. Aaron was able to quickly put me in his schedule and promptly followed up with a thorough inspection report, confirming that he didn't see any mold in the airways and that no further remediation was needed. He also outlined a plan for the HVAC team to follow to stop further mold growth. I recommend DBL Check without hesitation.

Allan was very responsive throughout the entire process, and was available to discuss services with him 15 minutes after submitting. Pricing and payment was transparent and a smooth process. The inspection report was very thorough with pictures and written in terms I could understand. Allan checked items I wouldn't have even considered and made several ongoing maintenance suggestions. He used a drone to inspect the roof, thermal cameras to inspect HVAC and insulation, electrical outlets, water systems, appliances, etc. Discovered several items I wouldn't have noticed (or at least not until they became serious issues). I felt as if Allan was inspecting the house from the perspective he was going to buy it himself, and left no stone unturned. Highly recommend DLB Check.

He was extremely thorough, took the time to inspect the entire house carefully, and explained everything clearly throughout the process. He also collected multiple samples to make sure we had accurate information and peace of mind. I really appreciated his professionalism, attention to detail, and how patient he was with all of our questions. I would definitely recommend him to anyone needing a mold inspection done. I will say I think the samples are very over priced at $129 a sample because if they recommend 10 samples that well over 1k. The initial inspection was $450.

Told me i may need to give away my dog, which was not even applicable to what was going on. I have been told a lot of mold places will do this, so they can get business, which is not cool. I'm not saying don't use them, but if you do, they have to be able to look at your place before they can give you an assessment. Client S, thank you for responding. Yelp wouldn't let me reply, so i had to update my comment. I spoke with Mold Inspection Sciences, so there was no mix up with another company. I'm never going to stop singing praises of Texas Dry Out & Restoration! I'm still amazed at Diego's…read morecompassionate, patient professionalism. Just outstanding work! This July, right before our move-in day, our 12-yr old HVAC had a line back up that caused a lot of water damage. When comparing companies to ask for help, I took special notice of the many reviews talking about TX Dry Out going above and beyond to help stressed-out people navigate insurance claims. As a disabled woman I know just how agonizing it can be to work with health insurance companies, so TX Dry Out was my first pick. I was impressed by Diego's inspection process, the equipment he used and how thorough he was, and also how patiently he explained the terminology and our different options. His expertise became even more obvious when I got a second quote from another popular company---the other tech was friendly, but had cheaper equipment, did not explain much, and gave disappointing answers to questions I only knew to ask because Diego had already explained things to me. The difference was night and day, and not just because the other company only does mitigation work, leaving the customer to figure out the build-back process. TX Dry Out was miles ahead of the game by comparison in every respect. During the mitigation and build-back processes, Diego and his crew were just amazing. They took good care of our property (I was amazed how thorough their plastic containment system was) and were excellent at coordinating with other contractors doing repairs at the same time. They were also happy to work with us on the specific HVAC company we wanted to use, which was a relief. Diego sent us multiple progress videos and never batted an eye when we dropped by to take a look at things in person. The build-back went much faster than expected, which was a relief given our stressful moving timelines. Diego was TRULY AMAZING in helping us navigate the insurance claim process. In all our conversations about the mitigation, the build-back, and insurance, he never rushed me, never got impatient with all my questions by calls and texts, and never judged me when I got confused or overwhelmed. He even reached out to a colleague for advice on something specific to our situation, which he didn't have to do. And a whole week after the entire process was complete, he helped us troubleshoot questions about the water heater that had been removed and reinstalled. Diego proved himself to be a real professional who genuinely cares. Obviously I hope we never go through this ever again, but if water damage does happen to me or anyone I care about, I cannot imagine going through it without the expertise of Diego and Texas Dry Out & Restoration! THANK YOU!

I was so sick from contamination that I couldn't even physically be in my apartment during the inspection. He coordinated with me to get a key and give access to a partner who inspected my HVAC. They found copious mold in both places. Thanks to their diligence, persistence, precision, and detail, I was able to get out of my lease and secure a judgment to compensate damages to my body and property. As if this weren't enough, Tim then came to my new apartment, tested it for mold, and fogged it once I'd moved in to prevent any mold from traveling in with me. He was part of a move that probably saved my life. All these are reasons to hire Tim--but they are not the only reasons. During a very scary, uncertain, sick, and vulnerable time for me and my family, Tim was flexible, available, and kind. You would be pressed to find anyone with as much know-how and personal manner.

I basically flushed $400 down the drain. I called them to assess simply a bath and shower of the…read morehouse I am living in. The original appraiser saw that it was dirty and said maybe mold. I just needed to test that it wasn't harmful mold and get it to pass. I used them because I saw they had an hourly rate, of course it was 1 hr minimum which was $300. Other places wanted to do a whole floor or multiple rooms and I needed to just test a tiny spot so $300 plus one $100 sample was better than $500+ I was being quoted. The guy comes out and takes a sample and is done in 15 minutes. The mold test comes back as "Due to the absence of supporting data, a definitive Genus could not be assigned." It also said there were particles it couldn't identify and textile fibers and it was fungal growth, which could be anything. I was told from another mold inspector that this never happens if they actually took a mold sample. So basically this wasn't mold or it def wasn't dangerous mold. In his remediation, he didn't address that this was dangerous mold. He said there was cracks in the grout so can't really tell if there is mold behind the wall. He said to pull the tub and tear down the shower and basically gut the bathroom. Everyone knows that gutting the bathroom and remodeling can easily cost 20K. I'm trying to get an approval for a home equity loan so I definitely can't afford that. I can't even afford this mold test. So he basically made a nuclear recommendation and I didn't get my loan approved. I cleaned up the bathroom and called a different inspector which is now costing me an additional $300.
