Best carne asada fries I can find around me. Also, I love their fish tacos more than Rubio's. I feel it's because Rubio's tastes too crunchy (greasy) and while yes, the fish in fish tacos are fried, I just prefer Molcasalsita's fish tacos. I am in love with their carne asada taco. It comes on corn tortilla with a load of carne asada meat, guacamole, onions, tomatos, cilantro for $2.50 and is absolutely delicious and filling for its size. I like to come by now and then to order a carne asada taco and fish taco for lunch. That fills me up! Back in my more indulgent days I would come with a friend and eat a fish taco along with carne asada fries. That was bomb! The workers here are always friendly too. read more

They just opened in a run-down shopping center that has kinda been infamous for collapsing small businesses and even well-known chains like Subway due to poor location and the recession. The place seems to be family-owned, and I'm not sure its related to the other restaurants of similar name, but the people in the kitchen sure know what they're doing. Food is hot when you get it, but better than that, it tastes like fast-food Mexican done right and not in a rush. Prices are low (2.99 for a burrito with meat! in it), and I'm wondering how long that will last, in the meantime it's probably some of the best and cheapest eats in the neighborhood. It's not open 24hrs a day like the others of similar name, but I'm sure it'll attract more of a crowd once people start to each here. In the meantime, I hope this place has better luck than former businesses at this location. And just as I wrote that, a gang of Asian chicks from the megachurch across the way sauntered in. Had the Sausage & Egg with Cheese & Potato's Burrito. Excellent, less than $5 meal. At the time I ordered I was the only customer. Didn't have to wait (as I have in other places) to order and my takeout didn't take long. Less than 10 minutes. Just like molcasalsa but just cheaper and smaller portions. I love where the location is because it's literally 30 seconds away from where I love and I don't have to drive all the way to Molcasalsa on harbor. I always get adobada fries. If you haven't tried adobada then you're missing out! its like 10x better than getting carne asada/super fries. Adobada is pork so its a little different but worth it. I had the Carne Asada Torta. It's the worst I've ever had. The top bread was dry, crumbly, flavorless, and cold; it should have been warmed at least a little bit. the bottom bread was a soggy mess that fell apart as I ate it. The Carne Asada was gray and bland. Not even their mediocre salsa could give this meal life. We also ordered the ham and Adobada tortas but they were also a disappointment. I've been coming to this location for over 2 years after moving to Fullerton. If I had reviewed this location a year ago, I would have given it 4 stars. It has all of your standard selections as all other Molcasalsa locations. They make the food as you order it and the line is never long. My husband likes all of the tacos and burritos he orders, but I only order the super fries every time I come here, so I noticed the inconsistency. For a period of time, I came twice and the carne asada meat was strangely salty. I decided to try it a 3rd time and it was back to normal and not salty anymore. However, this last time I went, there was a lot of large onion chunks and not a lot of cheese or sour cream. For me, this greasy unhealthy meal is a perfect balance and blend of the ingredients.
