Online they had a special for first timers and I opted to do aerial yoga for the 3 class package I bought and boy am I ecstatic that I went! Upon entering the parking area they have affirmations at almost every parking spot, which I enjoy. The outside of the building is so welcoming, they have meditation music playing on your way in and you're warmly greeted. Very easy to find and they have so many things going on here it's amazing. They have all types of yoga classes, a sweat spa, they do facials, massages and so much more! I walked around in awe of all of art and yogi stuff it was beautiful! The bathroom even had affirmations everywhere and was super clean! I mean so clean that I was walking around in my socks and then walking around barefoot which I don't do! I've never done aerial yoga before so I signed up for an intro class with David! He was great! The way he explained everything was very to the point and easy to understand. He so eloquently showed us the moves and then spotted us as we needed. I was terrified at first and then I learned to trust my body and by the time I knew it I was doing things in the air and upside down and I was so proud and felt impressed. I did indeed connect with my body on a level I never knew. I loved it so much I then did the beginner class with Lisa and then the all levels with David again. Lisa was sweet but I like David's teaching style better, but I liked them both, but will stick with David. I am indeed going to buy the 10 class package because I loved it so much and I indeed need aerial yoga in my life more frequently. I love this place I really do and I am so happy I didn't just ignore this place from reading previous reviews. Everyone has their own experiences and mine was pleasant all 3 times! I've already convinced my co-workers and mom to attend an aerial yoga class with me so we're setting that up. It had changed my life, changed my exercising, my being in tune with my body and opening me up to tons of new things I had no clue I could do. You feel very free after this class, and very much like you want to learn more and more moves. I would give this place a go for anyone thinking of trying it!

The studio doesn't smell and the locker rooms and showers are clean…read more The heat at this studio is just amazing, it's a hot and sweaty Bikram class, yet my lungs don't feel like they are going to explode. I've been practicing Bikram yoga for over 5 years and the far infrared heat allows me to work harder while Donna and Mary Ann, the owners, give specific corrections that help me improve. Since I started coming here in May, I can stretch about 4 inches more in the half moon, and can hold the standing head to knee pose w/ leg extended. I've also lost 10 lbs and a dress size. I feel great. This isn't a place where a bored instructor recites the dialogue with the canned corrections. Mary Ann and Donna TEACH, and correct everyone by name. The other students are friendly and polite--people will offer to move over a couple of inches to let you squeeze in and not have to practice in the crack of a mirror, for instance. People of all ages, sizes and shapes practice here--not just the super flexible people in trendy yoga clothes--it's a great place to develop a solid foundation and life long practice.

Not only are the aesthetics of Santosha immediately calming, but I have always felt welcomed and accepted by the teachers and staff. The front desk employees have consistently been pleasant and helpful--and often drop into the class themselves after everyone is checked in. All of the instructors I've met thus far have been highly knowledgeable, warm and compassionate. Overall, they have balanced explaining poses, breath work and technical aspects of practice with essential core concepts for understanding and deepening one's yoga practice. All of the classes I've attended have been inviting, honest and uphold the true meaning of yoga--unity. I've especially enjoyed the "Energy Healing Clinics" offered monthly (I think it's monthly anyway)--$5 donation for quick Reiki sessions and other energy healing practices. Santosha offers a discount for students as well as military personnel which I think is great--a way to increase accessibility to yoga. The only downside to this studio is that there are relatively few classes offered each week. Nonetheless, Santosha is a wonderful oasis and a hidden gem of Cranston for sure.
