The owner, Modesto, is a honest man. He charged me half of what I paid for a hybrid battery from another repair place. He was available right away. He is so nice and a pleasure to do business with. read more

Purchased date: 6-15-23 I took my 2010 Toyota Prius and purchased the battery pack at 695 + labor. Plus warranty at 20k miles or a year whichever first. I put 7k miles since last June and last night 8-12-24 I got the triangle and check hybrid system alert. With 2 months past the warranty I am out of luck. Good price, however it only lasted a little more than a year and now I'm having to purchase a new battery. read more

I scheduled an appointment and was contacted the day prior to confirm the appointment. Communication was great. They arrived on time to my home and swapped the hybrid battery in my 2004 Prius after confirming the battery was in need of replacement by scanning the vehicle. In total the job took about 2-2.5 hours. Their pricing and warranty for a reconditioned battery was one of the best in the area. Don't hesitate to give them a call! read more

Update! Some old lady called my mother to complain about my review, since my mother's English was limited I took over to the phone to speak. I asked her "was the first and second battery you gave us bad "yes or no" (since we had confirmed with an actual good and professional mechanic and he told us the batteries were bad). and she then refused to answer and began yelling at us that I couldn't help but laugh at their poor attempt to resolve such a simple problem. Avoid this place like a plague and find yourself another repairperson. FYI our new mechanic gave us a lifetime warranty for our battery it was amazing :) ! read more

These guys are great. Very flexible and quick response times. Not to mention very reasonable prices. They took the time to educate us on the process and how to get my car back on track. Would definitely recommend to anyone having the dreaded "Check Hybrid System" warning. You will not believe how much of a life saver this place is. And it only took an hour to get my battery replaced. read more

I was hesitant to give a rating less than 5 stars since Mojo is a nice guy who is very accommodating to local residents. I purchased a refurbished battery for my 2007 Prius in April 2019 and have since had circumstances that I feel will help others. The warranty is for 1 year or 20,000 miles, whichever comes first. I barely drive 5000-10,000 miles per year so I knew the 1 year time frame would apply to me. I work remotely so I used to drive locally a few times a week. Since COVID-19 hit, my driving decreased to 1-2 times per week for essentials starting in March 2020. At the beginning of May 2020, the red triangle dashboard light came on and I started to have acceleration issues while driving. By now, the 1 year warranty has expired and I'm SOL. Still, I call Mojo and ask if he can take a look which he gracefully agreed to. He plugged in his laptop and told me 1 cell is barely under the suitable range and this is most likely because I haven't been driving much. I wanted to believe this but my driving habits didn't change drastically so something felt off. I understand hybrids need to be driven regularly but a $750 battery shouldn't fail because I take less trips around town. That just doesn't make sense to me. Had I not driven it for months, I would understand but this was not the case. Upon further research of hybrid battery dealers in Cali, I learned that a refurbished battery with a 1 year warranty is pretty standard as a "cheap" band-aid and the likelihood of the battery failing after 1 year is high. I've beaten myself up over this mistake for months now and vow to make my next move wiser and more educated. I found a hybrid battery company that offers a lifetime warranty...I wish I had gone this route so I'm posting this review in the hopes of helping fellow hybrid owners. Mojo is a super nice guy but since this is business and not personal, I suggest doing lots of research on refurbished batteries and your options in general. $750 for 1 year of driving was not a good investment for me. I even found a local hybrid dealer offering a 1 year refurbished warranty for less than $750 so I just made a bad decision. I'm torn about my baby Prius. I used to love it but it's become such a pain in the arse that I may give up on hybrids forever. read more

I had my Auxiliary Water Pump changed on my 06' Prius. After having my main hybrid battery changed by MoJo, I knew I could trust them with my car. The pump was swapped out in about an hour and right after I drove about 50+ miles with no problems. If they do oil changes, I would bring them my car for that ! They keep my Prius running. read more

I have a 2006 Toyota Prius, was driving and all the sudden the car went dead. MoJo Hybrid Battery Services - Hybrid Car Repair Near Me - Corona, California

Be very careful with these people, they tried to scam and charge me for something that it's free. I took my car for battery diagnostics and he plugged my car ti read just the codes same exact thing that autozone do for free and he reset the code which you will come back eventually, and autozone dose the same service for free he asked me to pay him $50 dollars for this . This is not right you tell your costumer diagnosis are free and after I get there you are trying ti change me $50 .:: I will never go back to this place ; go somewhere else : I'm sure many of these reviews are written by their friends read more

I had already had the cells from my hybrid battery replaced by a third-party a few years ago and I knew it would probably only last a couple years. And lo and behold I get the fun red triangle of death on New Year's Eve. I called Modesto to see if the shop was open and he said he could even do a service call to my house. He and Noli came over to check the car out. And indeed, it was the battery. They did an entire replacement of the battery with a refurbished unit. Quick and easy. These guys are super friendly and very responsive. I'm glad they could take care of my car. Maybe I can get this vehicle to 200k! read more

Outstanding experience! They came out to my home on a Sunday afternoon, and told me it was the inverter pump for my '07 prius, which is what I was suspecting from the online Prius forum. Several codes were showing, but I was told the transmission code was common under the circumstances, and should resolve. My 12v battery was also needing replacement. They had a new inverter pump with them and began working, as they sent me to O'Reilly's to pick up a replacement battery and some coolant. When I returned, I watched all the steps of the battery replacement (I hadn't watched the removal) and it was a pain in the a**., and they only charged $25 for the battery labor. The whole thing was so quick and easy, and the total charge was only around $400. It has been two weeks and the car is driving perfectly, with no more check engine light and warning symbols. It's running better than before the breakdown, too! I am very happy about my experience and would totally recommend Mojo hybrid battery service. read more

After shopping around for the best price, I found Mojo Hybrid Battery Service to be best. A reconditioned hybrid battery is the smart choice. My car runs like new again. Thank you, Modesto, for your excellent customer service as well. I highly recommend your shop to all hybrid owners. read more

It was great fortunate of mine to find this company as I googled, after my hybrid battery was dead. ＮISSAN gave me a estimation of $6000 to replace it, $4000 for unit $2000 for installation. I paid $1350 to Mojo include $45 for driving down to Palm Springs. You might be skeptical as I was when you found this huge gap of price. But now my car is in great condition after 1.5 h installation labor of Modesto. I will post follow up review after maybe 6 month, but at this point, it's working perfectly like a new car! Thank you, Modesto! You are amazing guy!! read more

2009 Toyota Prius These guys rock! They came out to my house on a Saturday & diagnosed the lights that had annunciated on my dash. It turned out to be the hybrid battery, which I already suspected. They were very professional and skillful. They had the old battery out and the new one installed in about 30 minutes. For a little less than $800 I got a refurbished battery with a 20'000 mile warranty. Now my Prius is back on the road. read more

After over two years of my Prius sitting dead in the driveway, these guys got it working in a single afternoon. It would've been even faster, too, if we hadn't encountered a couple problems along the way (I forgot my dang car key across town, and the car had a dead auxiliary battery) which caused them to have to wait around for 2-3 hours, and they couldn't have been more patient or pleasant about the inconvenience it caused them. It's such a weight off my mind having the car working again, and the fact that they were willing to come out to my place in order to do it was pretty unbelievable, honestly. Modesto and his colleague (whose name I rudely forgot to get!) were professional, helpful, and happy to answer any questions. Highly recommended for anyone stuck in the hybrid battery doldrums! read more

We have a 2006 Prius. The KBB is $2900 and actual Craigslist prices are around $4000. So we were shocked to find out that a dealer wanted over $3000 to replace the hybrid battery. Fortunately, we found MoJo online and purchased a refurbished battery. The service was great, at our home, was scheduled quickly, and he showed up at the appointment timely. He really knows his job and finished in an hour. I cannot recommend him enough. read more

Provides great service to wherever you may be. They are honest and tells you whether your car's problem is hybrid or the engine itself unlike others who would say anything just to charge you. Service price, reasonable for the work they do. I Highly recommend them! read more

I can't recommend MoJo enough. I've been meaning to replace the hybrid battery on my Gen 3 Prius for about a year. However, the dealer cost was insane so I found myself researching DIY videos and considering a battery purchase online. I found Mojo and their battery cost WITH LABOR and WARRANTY was less than half the price of the lowest OEM battery I could find. Modesto was very knowledgeable and he was able to install a new battery in less than an hour. 5 stars for sure! read more

I don't have enough wonderful things to say about Mojo. They helped me a while back and I've been meaning to write this review for a while but nevertheless I have not forgotten how kind, professional and above and beyond helpful they have been. My 2010 Prius broke down after my Hybrid battery stopped working which caused me to break down on the side of the freeway. It was freezing out and I had the car towed to a safe parking lot in Riverside overnight. The Mojo team showed up the next morning and went quickly to work replacing my hybrid battery then observed that my 12v might also need to be replaced. At this point replacing it was was a strong suggestion and not a requirement. With the new battery replaced the car started up, I paid the gentlemen, and I was on the road again. Not a mile down the highway the car's "check hybrid system" light came on again and the car died, forcing me to once again limp off the freeway. I pulled over to a gas station just off the freeway and called Mojo. They promptly said they were on their way back again. It was now snowing hard and even hailing (I know) Keep in mind they also working in the midst of the pandemic. They quickly realized the battery problem and then said I would need to go immediately to a parts shop to get a replacement 12V battery and needed to fill my car with gas as the gauge was too low and therefore the car computer thought the car was empty and would shut down again. I again assumed these were both suggestions for my next move and so I drove the car in the blinding snow to a gas station and then a nearby AutoZone hoping I would figure out how to replace a 12V on my own. I left the AutoZone with my replacement 12V only to discover the Mojo staff waiting with a pup tent set up ready to replace the 12V for no additional labor charge. They had followed me to the AutoZone and went above and beyond even after they had been paid. They even recommended a mechanic to fix my fuel pump at a discounted rate. They were/are lifesavers. Look to no one else! read more

On a day's notice, these guys drove all the way from corona to my house to replace my hybrid battery. They eliminated all the codes and now my car runs better than it ever has! - all for a FRACTION of the price! I'm so impressed and so thankful! I highly highly recommend these guys! read more

Our 2007 Toyota Prius displayed the Red Triangle of Death! Took it to our trusted mechanic, he said the only thing wrong with it was the HV battery, the big modular battery in the back. My mechanic doesn't deal in repairs that he can't warranty, and suggested a new battery from Toyota, cost more than $2,500. Our Prius is in good condition, but has 196,400 miles on it, and might be worth $4,500 if the big battery was still running. But, reduced gas mileage lately was an indication that the battery was failing. Inquired a few hybrid battery services, we liked Mojo's price. His team came to my house, confirmed the diagnosis of a bad HV, and installed a rebuilt one in less than an hour! $745, with a guarantee of one year or 20,000 miles, whichever comes first. The Prius runs great, and there are no error codes. They do any hybrid, check their website. read more

I have a 2005 Prius that I bought brand new. My Hybrid Battery Pack finally started going bad after 400k miles, which is a good life. I was about to look for another Prius since I thought my cars lifespan was close to being over. Toyota would have charged me over $3000 to replace my hybrid battery and that would not have been worth it. So I decided to search for a specialist outside Toyota. I wanted one that had good reviews. I found Mojo Hybrid Battery service had good reviews and read their refurbished batteries were very reliable along with a 1 year warranty or 20,000 miles, whichever came first. I called Mojo and talked to Modesto, who was very kind over the phone. I was very surprised he was able to come to my house the same day. When him and his assistant arrived, he was a pleasure to talk to and he was very knowledgeable about the Prius. He ran a diagnostic on my car and showed me which specific block of the battery was out. They had a hybrid pack ready to go and started to put it in. Less than 30 minutes later, they were done! Modesto and his assistant gave me further advice on the engine, water pumps, and hybrid inverter. I drove the car around town and it feels as powerful as when I got it brand new! I will probably keep my car for a lot longer since it is running so well. I am very satisfied with Modesto and his assistant. They provide excellent work and are very friendly. And for $800, I had a really great deal! The Yelp reviews helped out a lot and I can now see why the reviews were all positive! Thank you Mojo Hybrid along with Modesto and his assistant! read more

If you need anything electrical for a Toyota Prius you need to call Mojo Battery Services. They may even service any hybrid, but I am not sure. They will come to your house to work on your vehicle. The first time I contacted them was on the night of Labor Day. They did a reset and I was great for about 3 months. No charge. I had them on several cell texts to help me. No charge. They know their stuff. They charge about 30% of what the dealer charges. You will not be disappointed. THEY ARE GREAT!!! read more

So unfortunately our 2006 Toyota Prius finally decided to give us issues at 177,000 miles. I took it to a regular mechanic and they told us that The Prius needed to be taken to the dealership or a specialist. I didn't feel like paying thousands of dollars at the dealership so I looked online and mojo "Modesto" was the first one to pop up and had great reviews. I believe I called him on a Sunday...set up an appointment and he advised me he would arrive the next day Monday. Modesto "Mojo" showed up on time at 9 AM and immediately got to work. Great guy. He plugged in his computer to the car and diagnose the system. Sure enough a few battery cells had gone bad. Modesto mediately began taking apart the rear seats to get to the hybrid battery. From start to finish it didn't take him more than two hours. I was surprised with the results and super pleased. The cost is nowhere near what you would pay at a dealership. Great service and great work by Mr. Modesto "Mojo". I definitely recommend to him if you have any issues with any hybrid. He is extremely knowledgeable on these type of vehicles. Don't go to a dealership and get ripped off. Give him a call first and see for yourself. Cheers and thank you very much Modesto. read more
