We are visiting New York and we took a trip over to this mountain to go snow tubing! Its a smallish part of the mountain so its good for kids and big babies like me. If you are out of shape and have slippy boots it will be hard to walk up there but dangit I did it! Two or three times was enough for me though. The price for 1.5 hours was $35 for an adult that is pretty great. My experiences with the facilities and the staff were all good. The snow tubers were not following directions but the employees did their best to lead everyone.

Such a blast!! It's been 15+ years since we skied / snow boarded at Mohawk Mountain. They've upgraded so much! We arrived around 9am and were pleasantly surprised at the number of people already there. The line to buy tickets was incredibly long, but if you pre bought your tickets you could download your pass at a kiosk machine (genius idea) & a HUGE time saver. Worth the extra $5 per ticket.. The staff was super helpful & friendly, the food was delicious & reasonably priced. The mountain was fresh with snow & most trails were open. The lift lines moved quickly even with the large amount of patrons. Weekday passes are affordable & well worth the money. We will be back to ski at night during the weekdays. Definitely our go to ski mountain in CT!

Mohawk Mountain was super chill with an easy going vibe. The parking lot can be pretty tight but as the sessions turn over you are able to find spots. The warming area is spacious, with menu items on a QWERTY code. The grounds were clean and equipment maintained well. The drive to the mountain is mainly on windy two lane roads so take your time. If you are looking for nearby place to eat, try venturing 15 mins away to Kent for more options.

This is a review from a complete newbie to any ski/snowboarding resort. (Yes, I managed to grow up in New England and evade all of these winter activities.) I went with my husband and five-year-old for snow tubing: Pros - So much fun! Not too scary/overwhelming for people new to this. - Staff was helpful with newcomers and small children - helped my son into his tube and gave him a little push to get down hill - Snow tubing is separate from the skiing/snowboarding area with it's own (smaller) lodge. Bathroom and refreshments available there. - Clear directions and easy-to-follow rules - "Magic carpet" to carry you back up the hill (see photos) Cons - Parking lot was a big puddle of mud - Super busy. Staff implied that this was unusual/due to Covid (since this is a safe outdoor activity)

We have enjoyed this Ski Resort since the Mid-80s! I have also skied Okemo, Windham, Killington. BUT..........the scenic drive and convenience of this very professional resort is the best. Also, the Managers were able to accommodate my Son who has special medical needs. The Cafe worker could have been kinder since my Son had his own snacks due to severe peanut allergies. But we should have called in advance too. Well, I bring friends, students and family here; and, we will be back again!

Love this place! It's an amazing place to ski. It's convenient to get to and not too far from the city. There are lots of places to stay in the area, as well. I love night skiing here. It's never too crowded and the trails are always well-groomed. I love this place and can't wait to go back again. They have a great array of food in the lodge, too. I'll definitely be back here for more skiing.

Nice small excursion for local CT skiers who want a good evening or short day trip. Trials are nicely groomed in the morning. Staff help assemble and put on boots/skis for you and they store boots.

Nice open slopes

Have been going to this mountain a number of years and it's still one of my favorites for beginners or anyone who wants to learn, especially if you live in the NYC area. There are closer mountains, but Mohawk is the right size mountain to develop and grow. While it doesn't have all the amenities of a resort, put my boys through ski school and it's not crowded, so it's great for families looking for a day trip. As for trail rating, their blue and black are not as hard or as long as bigger places and pretty wide. Couple of COVID guidelines is no outside food, so you have to eat in your car, unless you order from their kitchen. My kids like their chowder and chili. Friends got some of the grill items, but didn't like them that much. There is a separate restaurant, but that wasn't open at the time.
