In my third visit with her, today, I had to literally walk out and won't be back! I asked other staff if she was just having a bad day. So consistently condescending but today she was actually rude. I asked about side effects of a particular drug she stated no one had ever complained to her before and dismissed my question. Then when I asked her to clarify something she got irritated with me and started with more condescension. If you don't agree with her she will belittle you into thinking you're the one that's wrong rather than explaining like most doctors! No thanks! Update: 04/15/26 - I spoke with Dr Gilli on the phone and it's seems they are somewhat flippant and unapologetic in their attitude towards the situation. I don't feel comfortable with this response that she "always" treats patients with respect after I conveyed the opposite in a professional manner over the phone. This was damage control gone wrong imo. Black box warnings are serious and it's too bad this Dr. doesn't care to make any changes as she is a 25 year employees with the company. He's got her back regardless. I appreciate the call back but it's clear his attitude is just like hers. They don't care.

Instead, redid all of the medical tests. He sent me to a specialist but did not agree with her recommendations. Instead he sent me for a second opinion, and I am very thankful. I now have a plan, that is much less life changing, and I found this second specialist extremely knowledgeable with a clear path forward including all possibilities. I am so glad Dr. Bhangoo took the time and interest to be sure I had the right specialist with the right knowledge.

If you don't have a family doctor, get Dr. Bhangoo. You will not regret it. The only bad thing is he is very busy and works alone. His office staff are super nice. If I were to give advice I would encourage him to get a PA-C or Nurse Practitioner to speed things up on the minor illnesses.

I scheduled this appointment months in advance as a new patient and even called a week beforehand to confirm everything. I was told that new patient paperwork had been emailed to me, but I repeatedly explained that I had never received it. I asked multiple times for the paperwork to be resent and even requested it through the patient portal, but the staff refused, stating they were unable to resend the email. The staff stated they had been trying to call me to confirm, but my phone records prove this wrong. Instead, I was told I would need to leave work and physically pick up the paperwork, and that I would have only 30 minutes to get to the office and fill the paperwork out before they closed for the day. They also stated that this was the only day they would accept the paperwork. I found this incredibly unreasonable and inconvenient. To make matters worse, despite having called a full week in advance and making multiple requests for the paperwork to be resent, they informed me they would cancel my appointment because the paperwork had not been completed. This was entirely due to their inability or unwillingness to provide the forms after repeated requests. Most medical offices simply ask new patients to arrive 15-30 minutes early to complete paperwork. Requiring paperwork to be completed a week in advance and then canceling an appointment because forms that were never properly provided were not returned is, in my opinion, excessive and unacceptable. Again, I cannot comment on the doctor, but the front office experience was frustrating, unaccommodating, and far below the level of professionalism I would expect from a medical practice.

The doctor (Dr. Abby) took the time and sat with me, reviewed X-rays, and went in depth about the treatment my child would need- AWAY FROM MY CHILD. We have been to offices before where they blurt out what needs to happen and it's very scary for little listening ears. I appreciated this small detail so much. From that point, I waited a few minutes until the treatment plan was ready, it was reviewed with me at the counter (again my child was busy playing games so he wasn't involved in the adult stuff) and then the next appointment was made. From start to finish I cannot express how wonderful of an office, and experience this was. A dental office can be a scary place for a kid- but at Sturz & Abby they were made to feel comfortable and safe. I will be returning for all dental needs.
