In my third visit with her, today, I had to literally walk out and won't be back! I asked other staff if she was just having a bad day. So consistently condescending but today she was actually rude. I asked about side effects of a particular drug she stated no one had ever complained to her before and dismissed my question. Then when I asked her to clarify something she got irritated with me and started with more condescension. If you don't agree with her she will belittle you into thinking you're the one that's wrong rather than explaining like most doctors! No thanks! Update: 04/15/26 - I spoke with Dr Gilli on the phone and it's seems they are somewhat flippant and unapologetic in their attitude towards the situation. I don't feel comfortable with this response that she "always" treats patients with respect after I conveyed the opposite in a professional manner over the phone. This was damage control gone wrong imo. Black box warnings are serious and it's too bad this Dr. doesn't care to make any changes as she is a 25 year employees with the company. He's got her back regardless. I appreciate the call back but it's clear his attitude is just like hers. They don't care.

This is one of the best doctor's offices I've been to in Bakersfield since leaving Kaiser…read morePermanente. The care I've received here is on par with what I experienced at Kaiser during my previous seven years. In just one year's time, I've come to believe that Dr. Kubo and his staff truly care for their patients. I plan to stay at this office as long as possible. My Journey: When I first arrived at the office, I was kindly greeted by staff and later greeted by the P.A (I will not name as he is no longer there as of December ) He asked me a plethora of questions to understand my needs before making any suggestions. After I answered, he explained that he would order some blood tests and do a couple of checks to ensure my numbers were where they should be. He instructed me to complete the lab work and scheduled a follow-up appointment in two weeks. At the follow-up visit, The P.A. asked how I wanted to approach certain situations. I told him I preferred to go as natural as possible, and he was able to help me manage a few issues without prescribing unnecessary medication. Over the following months, I used the prescribed medication as directed and returned for a six‑month follow‑up. When that time came, I completed another round of lab work and met with him again two weeks later. He informed me that my numbers had improved to healthy levels and encouraged me to continue the same regimen. It just tells me that to this particular PA It is more about the patient than it is about prescribing medicine. Based on my experience with him. It's my opinion. You will make a great doctor I hope the remaining care I receive at this office matches or excels it. They only get 4 not 5 because the P.A. is no longer thereI will keep you posted.

At Dr Kubo's office this has not been the case. I've seen Dr's when requested and am Never in the waiting room for very long. They are extremely polite and understanding of peoples time and needs. Very thorough and caring staff through and through.
