In thirty years of me seeing doctors in Manhattan, I have never had such a shallow and brief annual! The entire visit was over in fifteen minutes. No changing into a gown, no EKG, no head and neck exam, no neurological exam, no dermatological exam, no extremities exam, no testicular exam, no hernia exam, no prostate exam..! Standing impatiently and without taking any notes doctor questioned me on my medical history, checked my blood pressure and blood oxygen (both I can do with my Apple watch), listened to my lungs, and poked my abdomen above my belt. She drew some blood and sent it to the lab. That was it! She didn't even suggest a urine exam - I insisted on it myself! I had decided to give it a try based on this doctor's reviews on ZocDoc and Google and because her office is close to my new address, but that was my first and last visit to this doctor. I wasted my insurance's annual checkup allowance this year and am very unhappy. Dr. Chelnitsky should return to medical school and learn what an annual full physical is and why it's called FULL.

For a couple of years I'm visiting Dr. Beneditsky with lower back and some other osteopathic problems. He helped me from the first procedure, I could not turn my body at waist even at 45 gegrees and I immediately saw his attentiveness to my problems, I saw his humane willingness to help me with my back problems, I admitted his highly professional attitude. He is always giving worth advices how to avoid or at least lower the stress on my back shoving exercises or advising to ride a bike instead of walking, swimming, etc... He is an athlete himself. Before finding him on Google through his positive feed backs, I visited a few really good doc. who also helped me a lot, but not as much and deep as Dr. Beneditsky. Recently, when he was on vacation, I came to quite a good doc. on Bay Ridge with a shoulder problem from constant use of comp. mouse. I visit that doc. twice, but without really good result. As soon as Dr. Beneditsky came from vacation I was in his office. An hour and a half later, when all the procedures were finished, I felt no pain in my shoulder. I was afraid that the pain will come in a day or two, but a week gone by, ... no pain. I visit him a few times more to secure the success. He is a man who was born to be a doctor and that is our advantage and we have to use his talent. Now I'm not waiting now when I got a problem again and trying to visit him twice or at least once a month. By the way, I pay cash and counting the super professional massage, his manipulations with my joints all over my body and how I feel rejuvenated for days and days after, I count the cost is minimal to the scale of improvement and quality of his and his stuff performance.

When I shared this with Chun Kit Chan while I was still in terrible pain, he told me it was "all in my head" and recommended that I only need Tylenol. The next day, I ended up in the ER needing emergency gallbladder removal. The ER doctor said this should have been addressed much earlier. After surgery, when I could barely walk, I needed a referral for a GI specialist. His staff member, Susan, insisted I come into the office even though my insurance confirmed it wasn't required. The doctor even said it was "not a big deal" to lose a gallbladder. Two months later, I was hospitalized again due to leftover gallstones. The hospital told me they contacted Chun Kit's office for a referral, but his staff claimed I hadn't been seen in over a year, which was completely untrue. In my experience, this doctor delayed my care, dismissed my symptoms, and contributed to unnecessary complications.

We were already working with another doctor but they really wanted us to meet with Dr. Lu so he could give us a second opinion. After meeting with the doctor, he told us about the benefits of acupuncture. We were skeptical and told him we were okay with just the consult and also because we didn't think insurance would cover it. As we were leaving, he tried to convince us again and we declined. He then told us he would provide acupuncture for us for no charge because he wanted us to try it. It was strange but we figured he was being nice to us because we knew one of his good friends. We ended up spending nearly $300 for the office visit and some herbs on the day of the visit which we were told was all we were going to be responsible for. Unfortunately, we just received a bill in the mail for over $100 that says it was for the acupuncture.
