Dry Rub Smoked Wings, Cornbread, Baked Beans & Green Beans
M G.

Moe's BBQ has some of the best Dry Rub Smoked Wings around the area. The baked beans are amazing, and the green beans are solid as well, although I personally prefer their sweet potato casserole (rotating special). One caveat is that you may want to consider requesting going easy/light on the dry rub if you're watching your sodium intake. It's delicious, but it can be a bit much.

New Moe's Original BBQ location now open in Town Madison development! It's located across from the baseball stadium. Order at the counter inside to the far left. This is one of their larger locations. There's plenty of seating inside with both booths and tables. They also offer outdoor seating on the covered patio. The BBQ is great. It's arguably some of the best BBQ available in the Huntsville/Madison area. They have a soda fountain located inside for drinks. They serve beer on tap as well as cans/bottles. There's street parking available directly in front of the building. There's also a parking lot located behind if you take the first alley past the building on the right. There are TV screens located throughout. They accept contactless payments like ApplePay! Definitely check it out sometime!

Man we paid $50 for this. I am so mad I had to laugh. Needless to say we went next door for some tacos. Place is empty for a reason.

The restaurant sits just a stone's throw from the ballpark where the Rocket City Trash Pandas play, so the whole place already has a fun, lively atmosphere before you even sit down. Now given the name "Prohibition," I half expected someone to knock on the door and ask for a secret password like it was 1927. Back in those days, enjoying a drink required secrecy, dim lights, and maybe a jazz band playing in the corner. Today, things are a little easier... though for this non-drinker, my order was simple: water on the rocks, hold the lemon. I prefer my water about 100 proof for maximum flavor. My boss and coworker grabbed seats at the bar while we looked over the menu. We kicked things off with the Pork Belly Burnt Ends and the Pork Bao Buns. Let me tell you, those Pork Belly Burnt Ends were an absolute masterpiece. They came out crisp and seasoned just right with a little spicy kick. Served with raw carrots, homemade pickles, and lettuce wraps to bundle those little jewels together--downright tasty. If food had a Hall of Fame, these would already have a plaque on the wall. The Pork Bao Buns were good as well, but they simply couldn't match the grand slam the Pork Belly Burnt Ends delivered. For my main course, I ordered the Smoked Wangs with the Jala Mango seasoning and a side salad. The wings were delicious--cooked and seasoned to perfection. Every bite was solid. No bootlegging required. Prohibition definitely hit it out of the park today. Between the great food, the great service, and the fun atmosphere near the ballpark, this place is a must-stop for locals or anyone just passing through Madison. Our waitress tried pretty hard to convince us to order dessert, so I'm guessing their sweets are just as flavorful as everything else on the menu. The only problem I had today? I couldn't finish my meal. I was absolutely stuffed. If this had been the 1920s, the only crime committed here would've been leaving food on the plate. Great food. Great service. I'll gladly return--though next time I may need a little more room in the stomach.

This restaurant is a sports bar with Cajun type of food place. There is a nice size full bar and lots of TVs. I imagine this place is rocking during Alabama and Auburn football games. I ordered a grilled chicken avocado sandwich. It came with waffle fries. My chicken was perfectly cooked and quite juicy. The addition of raw onion delivered excellent flavors to the wheat bun and chicken sandwich. 5/5 I was going to order a side salad and opted for a Cypress Cobb Salad with ranch dressing. It was loaded with grilled chicken, bacon, red onion, tomatoes, eggs, and lettuce, This salad was delicious! 5/5 Dave ordered Fried Catfish Orleans, deconstructed. He asked for the fried catfish, the fried shrimp, and the crawfish étouffée to be served separately rather than everything piled on top of each other. He said the catfish was very good, the shrimp was very good and he enjoyed the crawfish étouffée, but said it was on the spicy side. I am glad I asked him to get the dish deconstructed. This way he was able to enjoy the catfish and shrimp and not worry about the étouffée being too spicy. He loved his meal. 5/5 I asked for a cup of red beans and rice to go. The red beans were on the spicy side. They were very tasty but definitely had some kick. 5/5 If you like sporting events and going to a sports bar versus sitting at home, please stop by Walk On's. They have great foods and my waitress, Alexis, is more than capable of loading everyone up! We will return. 5/5

The patties were cooked perfectly, juicy and flavorful, and the bacon was done just right with that nice balance of crispy and tender. Simple but really well executed. The Fried Alligator Bites were a bit of a letdown for me. They were a tad chewy, almost like biting into pure cartilage at times, which kind of threw off the experience. I have had way better fried alligator, especially at Cajun Roux Bar & Grill in Providence, so I think my expectations were just higher going in. All in all, not too bad. It might have just been an off night. I would totally come back, but I would probably try something different next time.

I say dive in the best definition of a dive. You don't go here for high brow fancy cocktails or 5 course prix fixed meals or white tables cloths. You go to hear rock music, eat French fries and drink cold beers and highballs! And to see my sorority sister Dion who has worked there forever and has the brightest smile! The bands are good, there's not much covered charge if any, and there's a full sized stage and room to shake your groove thing if you are so inclined, or 4-tops if you're not! The Internets are raving about their food here since they serve lunch and more and have daily specials including a ribeye. I can only speak to the French fries and they are good! The service was good, nothing to rave about but everyone was nice. The food, though, didn't quite meet my expectations. The brisket was a bit dry, the tri tip was somewhat chewy, and the mac and cheese was surprisingly watery. The chili was also kind of cold, which made it hard to enjoy. That said, not everything missed, the wings were really good, and the smoked chicken stood out with super crispy skin while staying juicy inside. I also liked the slaw. Overall, it felt a bit overpriced for what you get because of the portion size (my total came out to around $75 for two 3 meat plates and smoked wings during happy hour). I'm glad I gave it a try, but it's probably not somewhere I'd go back to.

My wife got a pulled pork sandwich and beef-fat tots. Our dining friends ordered some of the pork cracklings as a shareable side. All in all, the food was outstanding-- the cornbread was absolutely terrific, perhaps the best I've ever had. The mac and cheese is smoky and flavorful. The brisket was tasty, as was the pulled pork. The cracklins were fantastic! While good, the ribs were not particularly outstanding; and some of the pulled pork and brisket was a bit fattier than I prefer, but not terribly so. In short, very good if not absolute best BBQ I've ever had. But good enough I'd return. Clean, large space with some great drink specials and options as well (it looks like). Prices roughly what you'd expect for quality meat in 2025 with all our current economic issues entail. It's self-serve, but they do drop your plates.
