I recently had an outdoor lock set failure, for those of you who aren't familiar with this type of event it's usually triggered by locking yourself outside an outdoor structure and the lock set has become inaccessible due to corrosion from the salt air. Before using destructive measures to gain entry I decided to employ the services of a local locksmith- this is where Moe's enters the story, after contacting a friend who is a licensed locksmith and finding out he was out of town on a much deserved vacation I waited on him to provide a alternative solution - he told me he would contact Moe's whom he refers his customers to when he is unavailable, within minutes Moe contacted me and told me he would be right over once he completed the call he was currently wrapping up. Fast forwarding about 20 minute this beautiful well equipped van arrived and I showed Moe the problem, after doing his assessment ta-da like magic the door was open, he mentioned I may want to think about replacing the lock set and I asked if he had a replacement on his truck which he did but didn't offer it up without first attempting to switch out the tumbler in my existing lock set. In a matter of minutes it was obvious that the salt air had taken its toll so he pulled out a replacement and had the brand new lock set installed and tested with the two brand new keys. Locked out of car after a squirrel made a nest & did something that interfered with key fob response to open doors. DON'T USE MOE's LOCKSMITH BEWARE. I had Moe make a car key for me twice. The second time he made the key after a few months I was having problems starting the car. I called Mor three times over the last months complaining about the key. He told me it's not the KEY because when he made it it worked fine. The last time I called was a week ago. He told me "spray wd40 in the ignition. THE WORST ADVICE I EVER GOT!! I did what he suggested and my ignition locked up and the key won't turn at all. And I couldn't even get the key out. I had to pay and have it towed to the mechanic. And now I have to buy a whole new ignition which is close to $500. If he didn't want to remake the key, I would've rather paid $100 to have one made than 500 for a new ignition. When I called him back he said it sounded like my switch was going bad not once did he think it could be the key. THE WORST PART IS HE WOULDN'T COME BACK TO CHECK THE KEY AFTER SEVERAL PHONE CALLS COMPLAINING ABOUT IT NOT WORKING LIKE IT SHOULD. My husband and I lost the only key to his truck at the beach. Moe ended his own weekend plans to come save us! Our truck has a newer anti theft system that makes it virtually impossible to simply pop the door locks with any kind of tool. Moe stayed with us for over an hour and a half, trying numerous different avenues to try to bypass the anti theft system without damaging our truck. Just when I had given up and went online to find out the price for a new window, Moe totally thought outside the box in order to get the necessary key code so he was able to cut and program a new key for us. Had Moe's lock-nkey come out today to make me a spare key for a brand new truck I had purchased. I'm notorious for locking keys in truck and losing them just part of my life. The dealership couldn't or wouldnt give me small blank I could hide for door' while telling me " it's laser cut, has key code that talks to truck." And if wanted one more "full size spare" that's fab with key like another $500. So I look up lock Smith's and called Moe's Ask if he's able to do this says "no problem" asked for price blew my mind how much cheaper' so told him to come on. Hes there in 10 mins granted only was 10 mins away but fast none the less. He was able to print me that blank and give me the key code for a future event to give to another locksmith "didn't keep for himself" was there genuinely to help!took all of 10 mins, he has all the best equipment on board with him, it blew my mind what the machines can do hes definnally not using old school technicsand has all of the state of art technology . I asked what else he does said replaces house doorlock, ignitions in cars, pretty much anything with a key. I highly reccomend using Moe's 1 cause I'm cheap and he has the best prices around and 2 cause gets there fast and knocks it out. read more

I called for an urgent key (lost my key) issue. He told me he couldn't be out there until the following morning. I accepted this, as I know they are very busy. I was actually feeling lucky that he said he would squeeze me in the next morning. Then, about 30 minutes later he called me and said his last customer of the day would probably not take as long as he had it booked for and he would head over to me after he was done! It was about 6:30pm when he got there, so I knew he was working after business hours for me. We ran into a problem (not his fault!) getting the code to my car, so he put a call into my dealership the first thing the next morning and got out to me immediately and got me key done. So he came out TWICE and did extra work and only charged me for the one call. This is a great business!!! read more
