When you meet him, he is a very personable person. But BEWARE! I paid this guy thousands and thousands of dollars. He charged me for procedures that he never did. And the ones he did, just messed up my face. After the first surgery, I kept seeing him every month, hoping he would do what he was supposed to do the first time. Dr. Moelleken and his team are exceptional at what they do. I cannot recommend them enough. I spent most of my adult life unable to breathe from my nose at night. I was addicted to nasal sprays and had related anxieties. After one session, Dr. Moelleken discovered the issue and described a surgical solution. Recently, Mallery from Dr. Brent's office reached out - followed by a response that included "...I just want to make it clear that Dr. Moelleken would never have someone else operate on one of his patients, and if he was to do that, it would be highly illegal and there isn't anyone in the operating room who would go along with that... risking their licenses..." "Highly illegal"? APPARENTLY Mallery is not familiar with surgeon's allowing other doctors to perform various procedures under supervision (e.g. [cough cough] suturing etc) or the practice of "ghost surgery." I wonder how she thinks residents and junior health professionals get training and experience. HEADS-UP new patients - review consent forms early enough to ask questions about who will be involved with the procedure and discuss any concerns. You didn't spend a ridiculous amount of time, research, and money to find the best surgeon - only to realize the possibility that someone else with less training and experience may have touched your body with sharp objects. I had a significant surgical procedure performed by Dr Moelleken in 2023. In my experience I can attest that he is a highly skilled, remarkably effective surgeon. He listened to my concerns and objectives and addressed them very well. In talking to him both before and after the procedure I was impressed by his knowledge (well, let's hope so!), enthusiasm, and curiosity for understanding and making best use of anatomy, supported by the fact that he is a clinical associate professor of surgery at UCLA. He is such a nice, kind person, he makes you feel so comfortable and answers all your questions without making you feel like you're a burden like some doctors do. Dr Moelleken was able to completely restore my own confidence in myself and make me feel as beautiful as I did before I got necrosis as a Complication after Juvederm lip injections that I got done at another place. A couple years ago I decided To get lip injections so I went to a place in Newport and sadly Ended up with tissue damage, muscle damage and asymmetry on the right side of my face. I didn't want to take pictures anymore, selfies, socialize with my friends, and just got really depressed. When I found Dr. Moelleken and that he invented a procedure that could help me Reconstruct my lips I got really excited . The procedure is called Lala lip lift, using live Fill (which is Strips of your own fat that have a 95% or so survival rate). I went to a lot of other consultations with other surgeons and was told that even if I did an upper lip lift, It would not improve the asymmetry and there was a possibility it could make my asymmetry worse. The other doctors also told me that if I was to do a regular fat transfer to my lips, that there is a high chance that the fat would have irregularities . with the regular fat transfer the fat transfer survival rate could be anywhere from 40 to 80% so for that reason the fat transfer is never recommended for people that especially have small lips to begin with( in such cases like mine, the less fat you have in an area to begin with, the lower survival percentage is ).I'm sure whoever is reading this review has also read about the horror stories about that transfers to the face, the irregularities , And unpleasing results so I did not want to be another one of those stories. Dr Moelleken also did a modified asymmetric upper lip lift with live fill (fat strips harvested from my upper pubic area ) and transferred it to my lips. He also performed a necklace procedure where he liposuctioned under the chin and tighten the skin so it doesn't sag after removing the excess fat. He also did a reverse brow lift to soften the corners of my square hairline and make it more rounded. Also, he corrected the pinched look in my nose that was caused my my previous surgery where too much Cartlidge was removed. He took a little Cartlidge from my ear and filled in the dents that made previously my nose look pinched(as a result it made my nostrils look more even too!) Dr. Moelleken also placed live fill into my nasolabial folds (smile lines), To correct the irregularities that were caused from a fat transfer done at another dr. had minimal swelling, minimal pain and look like the best version of myself, maybe even better than before all the horrible things happen to me with my lips.. After about six months I can say that my nose swelling completely went down, My nose does not look pinched anymore and looks so perfect! ,My lips were swollen for about a month and for the next six months I could feel the live fill strip inside the top and bottom lip. It felt kind of hard, almost like a lip implant would, but Dr. Moelleken told me to massage it a little bit, And that with time it would soften up. In my bottom lip I can't feel it at all anymore and it feels completely soft and fluffy like normal. My top lip is softening up a little bit slower, But that's why I had a lot of scar tissue from the necrosis, so it's understandable. As time goes on I could feel the live fill fat strip in the upper Lip dissipate more and more, in fact when I guess my boyfriend he can't tell at all that anything was ever done to my lips. It's been a year since my surgery and I could barely feel any hard material In the upper lip, but I can tell it's getting softer and softer Every month. Dr. Moelleken said In a couple months it should be completely soft . I am so happy with how plump my lips look and how much more symmetric they are. The lips look so beautiful in profile view, the lower lip has that Dip right above the chin where you can see the pillowy volume, so sexy! The upper lip also has a little dip right above it, I think it's called the lip flip which gives my lips how much more youthful appearance in the profile view and much more volume from the front view. I have the same amount of tooth show as before, but with adding the additional volume to my lips that was expected. The lift lift drastically improved but the symmetry and I'm very happy with the results. The damage from necrosis it was so great that I went into the surgery with very low expectations of how much improvement I could get(maybe 30%?, But any improvement was better than nothing), but I was overjoyed and super surprised to see that Dr. Moelleken Was able to get it back to about 70%. I saw several other doctors that told me that any surgery they could do could make the asymmetry worse but Dr. Moelleken Plastic Surgery the one that had the combined techniques to help me.Dr. Moelleken Brought the confidence back in myself and he gave me my life back read more

Despite his board certifications and scholarship, Brent Moelleken is simply Not A Good Physician. He was the attending physician supervising the resident at UCLA. Prior to the surgery, he asked me 'who did your peel?' I never had a face peel. I was/am no stranger to cosmetic surgery and would have known if I had. I explained this and he was insistent that I had, indeed, had a peel and that the surgeon may not have told me. This statement is false and highly unacceptable. It was disparaging and insulting to the highly qualified & respected plastic surgeon who had done other procedures. Following the surgery, the resident told me that a specific dermabrasion procedure which I was expecting was not done because Dr. Moelleken forbade it. As the supervising physician, he had this authority. I was very disappointed; the resident physician (very well qualified--over 1000 procedures PRIOR to a cosmetic surgery rotation) was regretful but had to comply. At this post-surgery visit, the attending was a different surgeon -- UCLA faculty and very reputable. He was also frustrated in my behalf. PLEASE DO NOT USE BRENT MOELLEKEN. I don't normally write reviews but this time I had to do it cause I hope I could help some people that is confuse or still researching. I did an extensive research here in the US and outside as well. I wanted to find the BEST. Don't go anywhere else ! Dr Moelleken is the ONLE AND ONLY. I'm thrilled with the results of this experienced ! I had a removal of a very old implants and a replacement of healthy new ones, as well as a revision of a disastrous mini tuck/crunky lipo. Dr. Moelleken is the best you can get period. Just after a week I had just a very thin line in all my extended necessary wounds. The whole experience from consultation , surgery, anesthesia, post recovery it's been just unbelievable ! After 5 hours of surgery, non soar throat or severe pain or swelling whatsoever. I only took half of the strong medication the first night just to be safe... Even the antibiotics which I'm extremely sensitive were mild and well dosed. My case was actually quite complicated. Both my 32 year old implants were silently ruptured. Left one, there was barely no silicone left inside the implant. He had to clean that disgusting silicone away from my breast tissue. Even reaching my arm pit and cleaning my lymph nodes. I'm lucky I'm still in this world really. (Of course my fault), but Dr Moelleken suggested that I should replace my breast implants first time he saw me. He is a visionary and amazingly experienced and professional with and incredible sense of discipline and patience, and my breast look absolutely beautiful and clean and I feel actually healthier. The tummy T revision was also a complicated case. And the results are absolutely amazing. At week 2 and I had no swelling. Just a very thin scar that surrounds my hip. I'm positive my final scar will be invisible. When you go through the most traumatic experience from another surgeon (2 surgeries!), also in Beverly Hills to the hands of this absolutely "maestro", you feel like a higher power in the Universe has just guided you to the BEST. He made my left eye smaller.. The corner of the eye where the upper & lower eye lid meet, he made the incision he sewed tighter than the right eye, make the opening of my eye much smaller. I went to Dr. Moelleken to have a mole removed that was likely to leave a large scar on my cheek. He did an amazing job, you can only see a tiny scar when I am blushing. He was expensive, and is not in-network on any insurance, but the cost included multiple followups and I felt so comfortable and at ease. Really nice office staff, and Dr. Moelleken was the only doctor to notice another problem I had and my health is so much better thanks to him. I also go to him for Botox for Migraines. It doesn't work for everyone, but he has helped drastically improve my quality of life.
