But talent means nothing when it's paired with arrogance, unreliability, and a shocking lack of integrity. While Uriel eventually finished the work I originally hired him for, the process exposed serious red flags. Midway through the project, he was ready to walk off the job, leaving multiple tasks unfinished. I had to convince him to stay and complete what he promised, just so I wouldn't be left scrambling to find someone else. I paid him fairly every day for the work completed--yet he acted like he was doing me a favor instead of fulfilling his professional obligation.
Despite these early warning signs, I gave him the benefit of the doubt. About nine months later, I called him again with new projects because, despite everything, I still believed in him. He came back once, took more work, took more money--and then completely disappeared. After that final visit, Uriel ghosted me entirely. He stopped answering every message and call. I was genuinely concerned something had happened to him.
Out of concern, I called from another number. He answered--but the moment he realized it was me, he pretended he couldn't hear me and hung up. After that, he refused to respond at all. That wasn't just unprofessional--it was deceitful, manipulative, and downright cowardly. He took my trust, my loyalty, and my money, then discarded me like I never existed.
For someone who claims to be a man of faith and integrity, his actions tell a very different story. I gave him $10,460.00 in business. I recommended him to others. I treated him with respect. And in return, he couldn't even show the basic decency of a returned phone call.
To make matters worse, I later discovered Uriel used photos of my home--the work I paid him for--as marketing material on his business profile, without my knowledge or permission. He was proud enough to advertise my project to new customers, but couldn't be bothered to honor me as a client.
This entire experience has been a painful reminder that loyalty and trust can be exploited. It feels like a knife in the back. Uriel used me until he no longer had anything to gain, then vanished without accountability. Future customers deserve to know exactly what they're dealing with.
If you value professionalism, honesty, or basic human decency, I strongly warn you: stay far away from UltraLight Electric. Uriel's lack of integrity makes him unworthy of the trust or business of any client. I hope he reflects on the damage he's caused--but no client should ever have to go through what I did.
