2013 Accord EX-L V6. TLDR: Module Master is awesome, US Postal Service is shite. Warning lights came on at first intermittently, then always. ABS, LDW, FCW, traction control, tire pressure, and one other (maybe airbag). In the message spot inside the speedometer it flashed LDW failed and FCW failed. Also the BRAKE light stayed on all the time even though the parking brake was released, and the start/stop button* stopped working correctly. (normal 3-part cycle was not in effect; required two pushes to turn off the engine, continued to beep after engine off, did not make "zip" sound when turning off - but door locks and remote still worked). *the answer to a question nobody was asking So I googled around and the symptoms matched what people were saying about it being the VSA module (aka ABS module). New ones are 1700-2500 from the dealer, so I was more than willing to try to have it rebuilt. The reviews for Module Master were glowing, so it was on. I called them with a couple of minor questions which were quickly and easily answered by a friendly human. Made the decision to send my unit to Module Master for repair. I'm not a mechanic and don't have a full suite of tools, so the hardest part was getting it off the car. I won't go into the details, but suffice it to say that when I got the part back the invoice had a notation that it was received with grind marks on the housing... BTW I left the hydraulic part on the car (covered the exposed portion and the giant harness connector with Saran wrap) and the car continued to function with all the warning lights on. It accelerated and braked normally, but didn't have ABS and the other nannies. So the car was never out of service and I also didn't need to bleed the brakes when I reinstalled the unit. I shipped the part to Module Master using Fedex Ground, which took exactly a week to deliver the unit to them late on a Friday afternoon. By Monday evening I got the email that said they were shipping it back. I had chosen and prepaid USPS Priority Mail "1-3 business days" service; The estimated delivery date was for 6 days after the "a shipment from order # xxxxx is on the way" email. In the event they did not deliver it by 9 pm Saturday as the USPS tracking website promised; at 9PM saturday they updated it to delivery by 9 PM Monday. So much for 1-3 days and for their tracking website's accuracy. The USPS is clearly dying, which is why I chose Fedex for shipping the unit to Idaho, but they were super expensive and super slow too. Anyway when I finally did receive the rebuilt unit, it was carefully and neatly packaged. It looked brand new [except for the grind marks - lol]. It was clean and smelled of cleaner. There were 4 screws included to reconnect it to the hydraulic unit (I did put in my order comments that I had destroyed the screws while taking it off and would appreciate some new ones if they had them, so not sure if this was just for me or if everyone gets new screws - there was no interim communication from Module Master other than the shipment is on the way email). Tiny nitpick: The screws they sent were a few millimeters shorter than the native screws - but they work. There was also the plastic frame-like part that helps connect the pins on the module to the car's wiring harness, and instructions on how to put that on. It may have stayed attached when I sent the moddule to them. There were also instructions about the prongs (iykyk) - Basically a very high level of attention to detail. Putting it back on the car was a lot easier than taking it off, and the moment of truth arrived. Test drove the car, and immediately the BRAKE and ABS lights were off. Others were still on. Drove for 5-10 minutes; the car still worked as before. Turned off the car while I did an errand. Turned it back on, and lo: NO MORE WARNING LIGHTS!!!!! AND THE IGNITION WORKED NORMALLY AGAIN! The ZIP sound came back! Tried out FCW and ABS and both worked. Basically a 100% success. Total cost ~300 for repair plus shipping, and another 85 for a decent dremel clone from harbor freight to grind the screw heads to accept a slotted screwdriver instead of the stripped TORX head, ~15 for replacement plastic clips for the fender liner (it is possible to get them off without breaking them and then reuse them, but new ones are fairly cheap from Ama) and sunk costs for the various tools I already owned, plus the time and effort spent on getting the thing off and back on. Savings at least $1000, quite probably more. Satisfaction of diagnosing a problem and fixing it, and depriving a predatory racketeer - er, I mean, dealer service department - of my money: Priceless. If you need your VSA module rebuilt and can get it off your car yourself, I wholeheartledy recommend Module Master for their straightforward process, quick turnaround, attention to detail, and topnotch quality of work. Oh, and they warranty it for 5 years. Use Module Master! They're great! read more

I will have to say I'm not one for leaving reviews but when a small business deserves it they deserve it. I was going to rebuild the module but choose not to due to time and if I tore it apart and there was an issue I couldn't find a new or used one for a reasonable price, being on back order. MY 2014 (Pre- July) Jeep JK Wrangler brake module has been causing issues for about 2.5 years. I was unable locate one without someone jacking up the price. I came across Module Master while searching Google. From the time I mailed it to the time I received it back was two week, well worth it, there was no need to Flash the unit, bleed the brakes or program it. The unit was plug and play. My 2003 Ford Thunderbird began to shift roughly, the speedometer stopped, and the Traction Light, Brake Light, check engine light...wrench, and ABS lights all illuminated on the dash...frightening. The local Ford dealers could not even schedule a diagnose and repair date for 2 weeks...and the diagnosis was a $200 charge that did not go toward the repair. ABS module on my 2011 Challenger was defective and the part discontinued. After searching seems Module Masters was my best hope at getting this fixed. They have great customer service and where prompt and helpful at every contact. Sent my module in and got it back about a week later. Had it installed by my mechanic and so far so good, all lights are out and car is back rolling. When the temperature adjustment on my '05 Toyota Highlander went out, I was shocked at how expensive the replacement controls were (cannot replace just the broken part, it's only available as an assembly). They are honest, have great communication and delivered a product that fixed my braking issue for 10% of the cost compared to what is pay if I left it for the dealer to fix. My abs control module had 3 tiers for a potential rebuild based on Module Master's pricing structure. I had no idea the degree in which it would take to get it fixed. They were honest, only fixed the parts that needed replacing and charged me for a tier 2 package. The bas/esp/ets lights had been on in my car for over 6 months! I had replaced the yaw rate sensor, all wheel speed sensors, new brakes etc but nothing fixed it until module master handled the issue which was a faulty abs module. Thanks for your Help! This shop also goes by the name of ModuleMaster and, boy, did they master the problem I sent. My Audi A4's LCD cluster had failed (missing lines and pixels) a few years ago. Through some Audi forums I found ModuleMaster and saw positive reviews. A few local mechanics quoted they would charge ~$100 to remove and install the cluster. The only tools you need are a long Phillips #1 screwdriver and a T-20 Torx bit. $100 saved! I sent them the gauge cluster from my 2003 Maxima since the fuel gauge wasn't working, which is apparently a common fault with these cars. A used one that may or may not work is about $120 on eBay, but they fixed the one I sent them for the same money and they guarantee it for 5 years! I call that a win/win for me. Quick service, I had it back in less than a week, but I'm only one state away. I suggest using FedEx through them if you can, things will probably go smoother and faster. I used UPS and pre-paid for the return shipping which worked out fine, but a bit more trouble and I doubt that I saved any money doing it. read more

So I have been having issues with my ABS module, read the codes and it says fault codes with no connection with abs module. Looked everywhere in my area that could repair it, nothing. Went to dealerships and they told me it would cost almost 2-3000$ dollars just for this part alone not including labor. Stumbled upon Module Master while searching today and honestly, very impressed by their customer service. Their chat system was so fast and Lesli was super helpful and didn't try to sell me or make me buy extra things that I didn't need like other places have tried. He or she ( not quite sure sorry about that haha) was very kind, straight to the point and answered all of my questions, and I felt like I had a lot that could annoy someone. They're prices that Lesli was explaining blew my mind, Lesli advised to get accuracy on part number so I needed to get fault codes and contact them tomorrow. A lot of places I've been didn't even ask for the codes. I felt very welcomed and taken care of. This business is the benchmark for both quality work and great customer service. Look at all the testimonials on their webpage. Turns a $4,200 dealer repair into a $450 repair including buying a Motive 109 bleeder, brake fluid, software, etc. Totally top notch and highly recommended! p.s. I saw a comment below about shipping, and feel I need to chime in. To save a little on the way out, I shipped via UPS ground, and I have a steep discount with UPS. My cost was $19 including insurance (I normally would not opt for it, but when you think about it, the pump is worth more new than a ThinkPad). It escapes me what I paid for FedEx 2-day return shipping to the east coast, but it was totally in line and reasonable. Sent in my control module for my Mini Cooper that's been electrically possessed for the past 6 months. They were very quick to let me know I had loose solders and had it repaired and back to me within a few days at a very reasonable price. Not long after it began doing its same weird stuff so my brother gave them a call about 2 months after the fact and they were very helpful, letting us know that since it worked for a period after the repair we are most likely looking at a processor problem which they cannot help with. The real cherry for me with this company is that they gave me a full refund for the repair they did regardless that the ongoing problem is not their fault. First let me start by saying I am not a mechanic. My experienced BMW mechanic let me know that in order to fix the ABS system I would need buy a new part for close to $1,000 from bmw figure out how to repair the module that drove several of my electronic systems. I did some research and found Module Masters on the BMW chat sites. They charge $300 to rebuild your part. People were talking about how well they did their job. My experience has been exemplary. They are easy to work with, they give you great information, they are fair, friendly, and on point. The part arrived when they said it would and worked perfectly. Highly recommended by my mechanic. My Bosch module for my SAAB 95 had a defect in the memory module and MM was unable to repair (they repair broken wires within the sensor). They were very nice on the phone about this and returned the unit back to me. Both my address and the mechanics address were included with the order and MM they chose to ship it back to me and withheld $20 (had they shipped it to the mechanic it would have been free). When I called they were unsympathetic and unwilling to refund the shipping. I am sure that they do great work most of the time, but be warned that you must prepay and they are clearly in the drivers seat once they have your money and your module. BTW - If you need car care in Wexford PA, we use The Auto Service Mall - they do great work at a fair price, and have never taken advantage of me over $20. ;-) read more

While I am certain the service and workmanship from Module Master is superb, it is clear they want nothing to do with the iABS unit on 2003-2006 BMW motorcycles. It has been "under development" since 2013. My first inquiry about the unit was when I had an intermittent failure while riding (which scared the hell out of me by the way), called my dealer, and was referred to Module Master. They said don't send it yet. That unit is "Under development and final testing". The offending bike is gone, me not wanting to spend $4000 p/l to fix it. Just for fun I checked on the website at the urging of my dealer who stated the they now have the fix. It still says its "Under development". I submitted a repair request to their online service and got a very polite response back stating, you guessed it, the unit is "Under development and final testing". It is clear to me this unit is NOT under development, or isn't any more, hoping the offending bikes are now off the road. I would have appreciated an honest answer to my question. read more

Cannot say enough good things about this company. Had the LCD display in my motorhome failing and vert hard to read, also my gas gauge was very unreliable. Checked with my local RV repair shop and they quoted me about $800.00 to fix the LCD problem. Found Module Masters on google search and for $200.00 they completely replaced my LCD display, replaced all motors on my other displays on my instrument cluster including fixing my gas gauge.
