I didn't have their contact information handy, so I started working through every local shop I could find online. Plenty of them advertise 24/7 service, nights, weekends, and holidays. Every one with a website had a closed-for-the-holiday notice or an out-of-office message up, and not one of them got back to me. U.S. Appliance Services did, and quickly. Over the holiday, it felt like they were the only repair company still in business. The only reason this isn't five stars is timing. They already had other jobs booked, so the repair itself happened a couple of days after the holiday. That was reasonable under the circumstances, but a same-day visit would have made this an easy five. When they came out, the visit was quick, efficient, and clean. There was no sales pitch, no push toward an upgraded repair, and no attempt to sell me anything I didn't need. Pricing is clear and transparent, and it's reasonable for this market. My first call with them, about a year ago, was for a dishwasher. It turned out they couldn't fix it, so they charged me what amounted to a service-call fee instead of billing me for a repair they didn't make. I ended up replacing the dishwasher, but that kind of honesty counts for a lot with me. One practical tip: text them. They'll answer messages through Yelp, but texts usually get a fairly quick reply. This area has no shortage of businesses that say they repair appliances. Far fewer seem to have the capacity to show up when you need them. Tech #2 claimed that the new cold-water valve from yesterday was faulty and replaced. Said the connector on the harness was loose, not "broken" so he would not replace. Instead zip-tied it to another wire. Ran a wash cycle and said we were good. 7. Frustrated that the connector/harness wasn't replaced even though we specifically asked several times. Putting a "band-aid" on it, is not a valid repair. 8. Checked with local appliance repair, Maytag Chat, and online google search - all state a loose connector must be replaced with a new harness. 9. Frustration is a mild word for their customer service and incompetence. 10. Paying out of pocket to have the washer properly repaired.

They installed it - nothing wrong with the stove or installation. I was not satisfied with the stove as it lacked a timer and alarm. I wasn't aware that these features are part of "electronics" but we didn't discussed the two other features ... only talked about a clock. I was told it had no "electronics" on it because we only discussed the stove having a clock which I felt wasn't needed. I own a rental property and the tenant was out of town when the new stove was installed. I talked to him the day after my tenant arrived (she used the stove 1 time) and asked if I could exchange the stove with a better one with timer and alarm and I would pay the difference in price. He proceeded to tell me that it would cost me a total of approximately another $400 to exchange it even though a step up was about $75 more. After seeing the model number on my receipt I researched the unit and found that it is a "discontinued" model which was not divulged to me. He became very argumentative and hung up on me. HOW STUPID CAN HE GET.. I have 4 apartments and own stoves, refrigerators, washers and dryers which are all going to have to be replaced in the few coming years. The worst he would have suffered is breaking even on the deal and he gave no thought to future purchases and referrals from me. I give them a THUMBS DOWN in customer service. I paid $147 just for the service visit, and after looking at the washer, I was told he thought the problem was the shift actuator. For someone I hired as a professional, I expected an actual diagnosis not a guess. Even worse, the technician did not leave everything the way he found it. The drip line for my dehumidifier had been removed from the drain pipe, which resulted in water spilling everywhere. That is completely unacceptable and extremely unprofessional. Then I was quoted approximately $480 for the repair. My washer is only around $699 brand new at Lowe's. So I'm supposed to spend nearly $500 repairing an older washer based on a diagnosis that was essentially "I think this is the problem"? At that point, what is the justification for repairing it when a brand-new machine is only a couple hundred dollars more? For the amount I paid just to have someone come out, I expected a proper diagnosis, competent service, and for my home to be left in the condition it was found. I received none of that.
