We have a huge amount of east-facing glass, and with summers getting hotter every year, our dual-pane low-e windows just weren't cutting it anymore. After getting three quotes, we chose Modern Touch because they came highly recommended by a friend and offered very fair pricing. We went with Vista SpectraSelect VS70 SR CDF. It wasn't the ceramic film we originally had in mind, but the specs were impressive: 53% solar energy rejection, over 99% UV protection, and 70% visible light transmission. In real life, we can barely tell the difference in brightness. A big factor for us was the warranty. Since exterior panes can sometimes crack when interior heat-reflecting film is added, we wanted to make sure glass breakage was covered. Robert assured us he has never had a window break from this film, and he also emailed us the manufacturer's warranty confirming coverage. Robert and his crew were professional, courteous, and efficient. They completed the entire wall of windows in one day and did a great job. I waited a few weeks to review because June was fairly cool, but after a couple of hot days, I can definitely feel the difference. Standing by the windows with the sun coming in, the room feels noticeably more comfortable. I'm really glad we did it, and I'm hopeful it will help reduce our electric bill too. read more

Robert and his team not only provide prompt and professional services, but they communicate quickly, thoroughly, and with respect. After they installed window film to block heat and UV for several west facing windows in two rooms, we felt the temperature drop instantly in both rooms. Now we can actually enjoy those rooms in the summer, it's a game changer! They make it convenient to get a quote and book services which made such a difference in choosing them. read more

We had a great experience using this company for a commercial building. The owner is genuinely a great guy--he gave us a very competitive price (and I did shop around), and it's clear he truly cares about his team and client satisfaction. The crew was professional, efficient, and respectful of the space, and the quality of the work exceeded our expectations. This was one of the best service experiences we've had in a long time. We would absolutely do business with them again and highly recommend them for any commercial project. read more

Modern Touch Window Films did an amazing job! The owner, Rob, and his son made the entire process incredibly easy. I didn't even know glass safety film existed until I called them. I have a huge 1930s non-tempered glass front window, so now this film will keep it safely together if it breaks. Rob is honest and professional. When I asked about treating both the interior and exterior, he told me the exterior wasn't necessary, saving me money instead of upselling me. They showed up on time, got the job done quickly, and clearly explained everything. Plus, the work comes with a lifetime warranty! They are super nice, professional guys. I highly recommend hiring them if you need window tinting or safety film. read more

There were multiple burglaries in our area by the same team of crooks who would break into a back glass door, our house included. We contacted Robert at Modern Touch windows on the recommendation of San Marino Security which is our security provider. We had the inside outside films installed and it was beautiful. There was one window install that we asked to be redone and Robert happily scheduled that without any drama or issue. We feel very secure knowing this will show down any future break ins as well as making our house look nice with the privacy and aun glare reduction. read more

Fast and easy! So happy to have a way to help keep the heat out and save my furniture!

A few weeks ago we had two west-facing picture windows plus their attached side windows tinted to calm down the afternoon sun a little. Although the price of this sort of thing is much higher than I'd ever imagined it would be (based on a number of estimates), and I wondered if I could have done it myself (probably fairly badly), I had these guys do it so our house would not looked half-assed. I'm glad a I did. The work was done extremely well, only took a few hours, and I had to do no cleanup, myself, afterwards. The result is very good and entirely professional The blazing afternoon sun is much less awful than before. I can recommend these guys without hesitation. read more

The "Modern Touch Window Films" should be your first choice if you are interesting in your home windows tinting. The company owner Mr. Robert is very professional and caring about customers. He helped us to choose the best film for our big and tall South wall windows. This film substantially reduced a solar heat and at the same time didn't make our home space darker. Mr. Robert and his team always have been showing on time and quality of their work was perfect. Robert and his team outfitted my entire home with heat rejecting window film, as well as privacy (frosted) film for several windows. I could not have asked for a more professional, friendly, or attentive experience. Amazing company! They have done multiple projects for me, and I will continue to return to Robert and his team in the future. read more

Robert and his team of installers helped me improve the livability of my midcentury modern LA home by installing the 3M thinsulate window film. It's a premium product, so I got multiple bids and found Modern Touch to not only be the most competitive pricing, but also very knowledgeable and professional. When they encountered an unexpected variable due to the age of the windows during the install, they brought me into their problem solving and put in extra care and attention to test a few solutions. 2 weeks later, I'm happy with the work and the performance of the product and installation. I can happily recommend them as they demonstrated pride in their work. read more

Robert and crew at Modern Touch were great! They came to our home and provided samples, gave detailed information on the samples and differences and reviewed the process of tinting. We have used Modern Touch twice now for security and privacy window films, and both times they have done top notch outstanding work. Robert is so nice, professional, honest, and responsive. He came within 1 day of my initial call to come evaluate the scope of the work, tell me about the options, and to provide a quote. Joaquin did the install and is not only great at what he does, but was so professional, kind, and punctual. They wore masks and the work was done with care to keep the house as clean as they found it. Overall, they did an amazing job and we plan to use them again for any future window needs. read more

Called Modern Touch because we had some windows we needed to get done in order to cut down on the glare and heat. Called Robert and after I sent him measurements and pictures he was quick to provide an estimate which was a lot more affordable than what I was expecting. A few days later Joaquin and Sergio came out and let me tell you....they were great! Very professional and super nice. I was concerned there was going to be a lingering chemical smell but they only use soap and water....so no smell! They laid down tarps to protect my floors/area rugs and wore booties on their shoes when walking around. They finished in about 4 hours and I could see the difference right away. Very happy we spent the money to have it done and will definitely have them back out to work on some more windows. You will not be disappointed! read more

I wanted to get UV film for my home and Modern Touch was recommended by VIP tinting on Altadena & Sierra Madre. Called and Robert came over for an estimate next day. He was extremely courteous and professional - even put booties over his shoes to protect my floors (!) - patiently answered all my questions. He took a look at my huge south-facing window as well as a couple smaller windows, totaling almost 100 individual panes - didn't even phase him. He showed me several different tint/film options and quoted me a fair price and worked within my budget. The following week, his guys showed up right on time and were extremely friendly and professional. They spent the entire day, cleaned after they were done and did a great job. No complaints here! Will be contacting them again if I need more windows done. Thanks guys! read more

Having two large window fronts we were not able to use our lounge room and dinning room during the day during summer. Finally we decided to inform ourselves about window tinting. We were looking for a local company and couldn't be more satisfied with the work Modern Touch provided. They came and talked about different options, never pointing to the most expensive one. It turned out that the work was complex due to our huge windows, but the guys did a fabulous job. Finished everything in one day! They covered the floors to not damage it and when finished cleaned everything. We highly recommend them! Now we're able to enjoy the rooms during the day too! Thanks Modern Touch for the great work! read more

We recently had our home completely redone w/ new LLumar Vista Series films. This was a big job, as it involved removing a lot of old films that we had applied around 25 yrs ago. Most of the old films were clouded, bubbled and looked terrible, and scraping them off was a huge amt of work. Robert C came over, went through the whole house, took measurements and gave me the estimate. This wasn't a cheap project and the installers (Joaquin and Robert) showed up on time and did a great job. They were polite and professional. All work completed in just two days, everything left clean and tidy. The new films are technically way better in terms of rejection of heat and UV but not darkening the rooms. We are delighted. read more

Really loved working with Modern Touch, use of latest technology in tinting, demo was great and educational, team super professional. Bravo and thank you, Modern Touch! Now some details for those who love to get into them. We moved to a new (but surprisingly unloved) house and had to deal with lots of extremely frustrating issues and contractors. We have two favorite contractors, who made a really big difference. One of them was Robert, a Pasadena local, and his team. Robert responded to our email immediately, was at our house on time, and explained everything in a very accessible yet professional manner and helped us choose the best tinting material for a VERY reasonable cost. His team, two very pleasant and real professional guys, who worked at our house, arrived on another day and finished the job in about two hours. All was so well done, we were speechless. You can tell their 20+ window tinting experience is a rewarding one for all their present and future customers. Thank you again, you really are awesome! read more

Professional, on time. emailed to confirm a week and then a day in advance and told me the names of installers, both of whom were on time, polite, and did a great job. read more

Extremely poor customer service. We were referred to this company a good customer of ours. We called and scheduled an appointment to have someone come out to give us a quote on tinting our shop windows. Robert came out and spoke to our owner and took measurements of the glass that we needed tinting. Three weeks and no word from Robert regarding a quote. We have tried to contact him with no success. When I called the phone number on the business card 866-738-4488, I told the lady on the phone what was happening and she said she would have someone get back to us right away. Here we are a month later and no response back. read more

This recent episode of Infernal Heat Waves turned our room with LOTS of windows into an Oven. I did research on window tinting for homes and came across lots of great information on the Internet regarding different window film solutions that provide solar heat reduction. I sent emails out to different companies and one person called me back promptly: Robert from Modern Touch Window Tinting. We scheduled an appointment and he arrived on time. Robert provided me with information and solutions, he took measurements, he provided a recommendation on a product, and provided me with a quote. I felt that he was there to be a resource, not to sell me on something. I did obtain one other quote, so I knew that the price that I was quoted was fair and comparable to at least one other company. But Robert went "above and beyond" to provide me with a sample of the product and great customer care and follow up, so I chose him for the job. Robert and his team of professionals (2 guys) came out to our house today and they were all perfectionists in their approach to their job. These guys are experienced professionals, friendly, personable, and very clean (especially appreciated since it can get a little messy removing old film that is stuck to the windows). Robert checked in every step of the way to ensure that we were pleased with the results and we are. We could feel an immediate reduction in heat load in our home, and we are grateful! The film looks great and it will provide us with relief from heat for years to come! Such a simple solution that I wish I would have done sooner. Thanks to Robert, Joaquin and Sergio for your great work. Check this off the list, and now on to the next home improvement project... read more
