And the full internal framing replacement of 3 windows, insulation and drywall. Project crew was great, and professional. Being here was several weeks, I worked from hime to let them have access to the backyard and inside the house for their needed repairs. They all worked without issue and concern, and provided necessary updates when available. Communication with the city for permits was at issue at first, and an initial inspection was missed. As myself and the team weren't aware it was taking place at that specific time. 2nd inspection, the inspector was several hrs late and made the contractors wait all day, and no work could get done that day. Inspections after were good. Only issues I noted were a number of nails left out in my yard, all in the same area vicinity. Where my dog also goes out to walk, so that was a little concern. But there was nothing else that occured, and clean up for was good before and after. Total work - $18k+

It would be very difficult to give an accurate estimate that way because there's a lot of dry rot underneath the steps which needed to be inspected in-person. R&B Framing was the only company which showed up to take a look at the steps. Two days later, Jose Cedillo emailed me an estimate and thoroughly answered my questions. His company uses Redwood or cedar wood for Victorian homes, though cedar does cost extra. We were surprised by how fast his crew finished the job. They showed up on April 9th, early in the morning and worked until the evening. They arrived the next day to finish the rest of the steps and the banisters. He also painted the banisters according to the original white creme color. If it's a legacy house, they'll stick to the originality of the Victorian architecture. (Per building code regulations, when a house is considered a legacy house the paint must be the original--or close to the original color--of when the house was first built.)

Using the existing substructure that was still viable, they built this beautiful redwood deck and used a stain that we selected. All boards were stained on all sides prior to construction and protective tape was applied to the substructure so that there was no wood to wood contact. All joints were tight and gaps were consistent. Workers were polite and pleasant and on time and cleaned up after themselves . Great job!!! Highly recommended!

Right off the bat...we LOVE our pergola! We did a lot of research and spoke to a lot of companies…read morebefore choosing Patio Designers. Antonio clearly understood our needs, gave us confidence they could be accomplished (it's a tight space), and offered options that enhanced the project beyond our expectations. He is a no-nonsense professional and his crew worked tirelessly everyday. Shout out to Carlos and Jesus. The beautifully finished product makes us happy every time we look at it. I will say that we've worked with many contractors on many projects and a running theme seems to be a real need for PATIENCE, as frustrating as it can often be. Sometimes, circumstances beyond a contractor's control make scheduling expectations difficult to keep. In our case, materials were delayed from the distributor (testing Antonio's patience, too). As such, this project took a bit longer to get started than hoped. BUT, Antonio and the office staff were quick to respond to all inquiries, and the truth is - the project was actually accomplished as quickly as promised, once circumstances allowed. The craftsmanship is suburb. Antonio won't let anything slide until it's as good as can be. And we LOVE it!

Installation crew is sloppy and payed no attention to details , and now two month after project completion and the railing still under warranty the company is mia and screws are falling out and the railing is hanging over the street. Highly recommend you use a different contractor as this guys were not cheep at all.

I met with Kurt for the initial estimate and he was great in pointing out the kind of work that needed to be done and took the time to answer all of my questions. Once I made the decision to go with 3 Generations, I started working with Jeremy who went the extra mile to meet me at my work to sign the paperwork and select the type of siding for the house. We signed the paperwork in the late Fall, which is a busy time for them but Jeremy was always up front with their estimated timing, which I really appreciated. Once the work started, the job was completed pretty quickly. Again, Jeremy and his crew were very communicative and kept me updated on the status of the work until it was done. They also fixed some plywood dry rot and installed new plywood as well as correcting some roof deck problems in addition to all of the siding replacement. I've included some pictures the old siding, which was cracked and loose as well some pictures of the new siding to show the improvement. From my experience, I would recommend 3 Generations Improvements for any siding or repair work you may need!

We felt very comfortable with Kurt who came out and meet with us and also the price was very fair. We had a very old shake siding that was starting to dry rot and fall off the house. We could not go another winter without getting it taken care of. Kurt presented us with two options. He let us know about Hardy Siding and LP Smart Siding. Both great options but we decided to go with Hardy Siding which was a bit more expensive but not by much. Their crew was great. David was the lead installer on the job, he was very professional and accommodating to any questions we may have had. If he saw something that he wasn't sure about i.e. wires all over the place, he asked me first before doing anything. When the house was finished it looked like a new house, it turned out great. I would highly recommend getting in contact with 3 Generations for any siding needs you may have.
