Uneven finish. Zero attention to detail. It honestly looked like a beginner practicing , not a professional service charging premium prices. I was Quickly assisted but had to wait 30 mins for either one of the nail techs to decide to service me. I choose a 45$ foot massage service and wanted gel toe nails done. Lots of Parking. Very Spacious!. We had two visits to Modern Nails. On Saturday we attempted to get two pedicures and a full set of Gel nails. We arrived at 11am and there was barely anyone in the salon. As you can see from the pictures. We had to wait to get the pedicures started. I must say that the Two male technicians did very good. My left heel is sore this morning tho. It took so long to complete the pedicures, we ended up leaving because we had a lunch date with the cousins. Baby sister came back this morning to get her nails done. I'm not really into all that. For a Sunday at 12pm, there's less than 5 customers. As I wait patiently for her, I see that all the techs are friendly and caring. They know each one by name. That's excellent customer service. Asking their clients if they're okay. The conversations are sincere and genuine. They offer soft drinks and bottled waters as you're being helped. The prices are reasonable compared to other places. They're work is cute too. read more

Honestly i'd never go back to this place. I walk in and the place was dead, BIGGEST RED FLAG! i asked the price for a fill in and a pedicure, and showed the lady my growth for the fill in. while in the chair for a pedicure i asked how much it would be for a set on my toes, it was $60 and the fill in was 40. the man doing my toes coughed on them and continued like nothing happened. He also cut my toes up where my cuticles are. When doing my fill in he missed so many spots where my old polish was and just left it. Check out was horrendous, they overcharged me and when i said it wasn't right they wouldn't give me an itemized receipt but managed to drop it $15??? My total was supposed to be $100 yet when i went up there it was $145. This place is a scam and not worth the money for the quality they give! read more

I went in there today expecting things to go well because of my previous experience and it was terrible! They made me feel extremely uncomfortable with all of the laughter, it honestly made me feel as if they were talking about me. This was my third resort after my usual salons were packed and i immediately regretted it and I will never go back. The gel full set looks terrible, lumpy, the cuticles we're not files properly and they charge $87 for this trash. The color selection is very dated. Save your money and time and go anywhere else. I've gone elsewhere a couple times out of convenience, but every time I regret it. Today, for the 100th-ish time they've met and exceeded expectations! One of the worst full sets I have ever gotten. The coffin shape was okay, I had to correct the nail tech multiple times on the French tip shape. I think she was offended by my critique because she called me "picky." The nail tech also applied too much top coat, onto my nails causing them to be clumpy in appearance. My sister, niece and I went here because my regular salon is now closed on Sundays and I regret it. We all got pedicures, my sister got a full set and I got a fill in. They are overpriced; my niece pedicure came to a total of $90 because she got a overlay and they charged me and my sister the same price for a fill in and full set. Price was asked beforehand about the overlay and they told us one price but when it was time to pay they tried to specify it was two separate charges. Then the owner did my fill in and he filed under my nail and cracked my real nails. When we attempted to get an explanation of the breakdown they got mad and continued cutting us off from speaking. Only come here if you want them to rush through your nails, have them looking like boo boo, and then have the same person that messed your nails up try to fix them. Me and my sister in law each got a mani/pedi from here. My first impression of the facility was pleasant, it's a clean and beautifully decorated place. We were greeted immediately upon entering the door. We were walk ins and they were able to get us both in immediately. I had Kim do my mani/pedi and I will be going back to her again. I came in for a pedicure and a full set before I went on a trip. The pedicure was okay. The nails were horrible . And it was done by the owner. I asked for plain nails with one design on the finger. My nails looked nothing like what I asked for and I've had the design before... he began to tell me the style wouldn't last long and I had to remind him that Im asking for the design because I had it before. From the beginning he did it wrong and said he will do better next time. There won't be a next time. Oh and my Pointer nail was crooked . I showed it to him and he said " why didn't you tell me" ... My first experience was great but my second experience was horrible they had a young female with acne with little or no experience fixing my nail which was a repair they had someone standing behind me like a weirdo watching mess it up a simple 15 minute fix turned into way longer it was fixed properly I had to show her what wasnt right I was so unhappy with my visit never again I rather spend my money else where poor poor service!!!!! read more

Save your time and money... I asked how long the wait was Male: 10 minutes. I sit in the chair for 49 minutes and still no service. They will lie to get you to stay. My feet were soaking for more than 49 min. Horrible service!!! I left here in Dec because the same Male suggested that I tip the young lady because she stayed late to do my nails. Came in for a full set with white tips. Strange, but they didn't have white tips so they proceeded to do clear tips and then paint them white. I was fine with it. I think I might've gotten a new tech. She was very slow and the acrylic was very thick. She also had no idea what "squared oval" meant. The white tips she painted were lopsided and there were chunks of acrylic underneath my nails. I also requested regular polish and she used and charged for gel. She did not have me wash my hand after filing and buffing, there are particles trapped under the polish, and the UV light she had me put my hand under today to dry the acrylic burned my nail beds (never had that happen before). I was on a lunch break and couldn't stay to protest as I had already been there 1 1/2 hours. $40 and my nails look like I bought an at home acrylic set at the drug store and attempted to do them myself. I ended up going to another salon that evening and paid to have someone else fix them. Also, just received a solicitation call on my business line this morning. I had dropped a business card into a raffle box here a few months back for a chance to win a facial at modern nails. That's what the box said anyway. I had my lip waxed on Friday 11/3/2017. I noticed today that the wax burned me. I went in to talk to the manager about being burned. He asked me if I wanted him to put some aloe on!!! A mess! Didn't offer me money back or anything! He apologized and said he didn't know what else he could do. Will never go here again! read more

They use to be really friendly and provide quality work. However ever since the main manager left to open the new location the lady that runs it now is rude and does rush work on nails. There are bubbles in polish and they really dont provide gel polish like they claim they do it's acrylic with gel fingernail polish. But will charge you the same as gel. If you truly want gel go to millennium in fayetteville. The new young guy does great work and takes his time. So does the older lady with glasses and red brownish hair. Also if you bring in a picture of what you want the new manager will tell you they don't do designs,stones or ombre. They really need new management and customer service classes read more

Hopefully the service I received from my nail tech this past weekend is not indicative of how this company treats their customers. My nail tech was a younger girl who was not attentive while she was working with me. She was on her cell phone discussing personal business the majority of the time I was with her. Fowl language was even used. There is a time for everything. If she had personal business to handle, sitting in front of me was not the best time to do so. She was very sloppy with her technique. While painting my nails she applied way too much polish which began running down the sides of my finger. The layers were applied unevenly to the point were some nails were lighter than others after the final coat. The end product resulted in nails that were unevenly filed, polish not applied all the way to the cuticle, and excess polish resulting in an uneven surface on my nails. I will not be back. read more
