You know that gloriously luxurious feeling you get when you check in to a really fancy hotel room?…read moreThat is exactly how I feel when I come home after Regina from Mom Needs A Break Cleaning has cleaned our house. Regina truly goes above and beyond, every single time. She always leaves our house sparkling clean, and is extremely detail-oriented. From the hard to reach cobwebs near the ceilings to the dog fur left from our three dogs, she gets it all. And then she does even more on top of it, like folding the corners of the toilet paper rolls. SO NICE! Also, everyone I've dealt with in this company is so pleasant to do business with. You can really tell that they have experience in hospitality, and that they love what they do. Oh and they do background checks on ALL employees, and they're licensed & bonded. I so appreciate this, very reassuring. I highly recommend this company, I really and truly can't imagine ever hiring anyone else.

I hired this company for a move-out cleaning and was extremely disappointed with both the service…read moreand how they handled the situation afterward. Before booking, I specifically told them that I had a 500-square-foot studio apartment. They assured me that one cleaner would be sufficient to complete the move-out cleaning. The appointment was scheduled for 12:30 PM, but there was poor communication from the start. The cleaner did not have my contact information, and I did not have hers, which resulted in her starting approximately 30 minutes late. The biggest issue, however, was the quality and completeness of the cleaning. Several required areas were not properly cleaned. The cabinets were still dirty, and even the stove, microwave, and kitchen were identified by the apartment management as needing additional cleaning. When I contacted the company, I expected them to make things right. Instead, I was given excuses that the cleaner had spent too much time cleaning the bathroom and therefore did not have enough time to complete the rest of the apartment. Apparently, the cleaner was only given until 4:30 PM, despite the fact that she herself complained that there was not enough time to complete the job properly. My expectation was that a move-out cleaning would be completed to move-out standards, not simply stopped because an undisclosed time limit had been reached. At no point during the booking process or our conversations was I told there would be a specific time limit on the cleaning. If the company was concerned that one person would not have enough time, they should have sent two cleaners, especially after assuring me that they understood the size of the apartment and what was required. When I showed the property management my receipt, they were surprised by both how much I was charged and the quality of the cleaning provided. I ultimately had to pay additional fees to the property management to have the cleaning completed properly. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this business. The company failed to provide the level of service that was promised and did not take appropriate responsibility when the job was incomplete. As a service member preparing to move, I trusted this company to provide a professional move-out cleaning, and instead I ended up paying twice to get the job done correctly. In my opinion, this was an unacceptable experience and a complete waste of money.

I didn't really know what I was in for when they showed up at the crack of dawn with gloves, buckets, mops and a vacuum in hand. I saw them walk in, and say a little prayer as they made the sign of the cross. They gasped when they saw the restrooms. But I left them there to tackle the dirt and grime. They were at it for hours. When I returned, it felt like I had walked into the wrong house. The place smelled heavily of bleach and limpador. I was amazed to see what my floors liked like! I forgot I had carpeting in some of those places! They cleaned this place top to bottom, chasing out the dust bunnies from every nook and cranny. I've never had this place so clean. When those maids were done, I'm sure the maids needed a strong drink after some serious decontamination time.

I am giving this service 2 stars rather than one, because of Myrna, the lady who cleaned my house…read more She actually did a decent job of cleaning. We had problems, but she really tried. Our biggest problem was communication, as she spoke very little English, so when an issue arose there was no way to address it immediately. The owner or manager, not really sure what he was, tended to be very defensive. Myrna was a very sweet lady, though. But, the problem arose when I tried to contact the owner regarding a timing conflict. I texted him to let him know we had an unexpected meeting we had to attend and would leave the front door unlocked. When we came back we realized they had not cleaned. I looked to see if they had tried to call and realized the number I texted was a landline. They had not tried to call, though. I found the card he left me, and realized there as a mobile number and called it. The young lady who answered didn't know about the text, and said they had waited half an hour and then left. I told her about the text and that the front door was unlocked for them. Finally, several days later, I heard from Jim, who said they had waited an hour and the door was locked. I explained it was not, and the other lady said they had waited half an hour. I apologized to the young lady when I spoke to her, but, Jim's attitude was extremely rude. He insisted the door was locked, obviously insinuating i was a liar. Then he said she didn't get paid for that day. Of course, my house didn't get cleaned either. i would definitely NOT recommend Texas Cleaning. Customer service is not in this man's vocabulary.

Mimi was very sweet and cordial but in the end I am severely disappointed in this service,…read moreespecially after our realtor recommended Mimi's. First, my wife was told that the premium "deep clean" was our only option because of our distance to the area she usually services--which is Alamo Ranch, just a 15-minute drive up Potranco to the house we just bought. I am still left wondering and flabbergasted about what exactly we paid for. She assured us that with the purchase of a deep clean that they "clean everything." We hired Mimi to clean the used house we purchased, which had no furniture and was to the naked eye superficially clean--ready for a walkthrough, yes, but not deep cleaned to belie the five years the previous owner lived in it. I am left to assume Mimi's crew saw that our new home was clean enough for a showing so they halfheartedly worked, thinking that someone else already did the job for them. She sent us pictures of her small crew cleaning our windows and a picture of a wet, mopped kitchen floor. But as you will see in the pictures, while the floor was likely treated with product, there was bits of trash and debris left brushed up against the edge of the floor as if the floor was mopped and all the clutter was sloppily pushed over and left uncleaned. Most disappointedly I am continually finding splotches all over the house that I have since had to clean myself and more often than not only required a gentle wipe down, which means it was never done in the first place (see pictures). In the end, we can be guaranteed Mimi cleaned our windows, mopped our small kitchen, and cleaned most of the baseboards. Does that constitute a "deep clean" in a three-bedroom, 1500 sq.ft. home? I don't believe so. Mimi, to her credit, refunded us the money that it costs to upgrade from a basic clean to her deep-clean service.

I was a little stressed about the process because you never know what these property management companies are going to "ding" you for. The commitment to 100% satisfaction was met and exceeded. Not only did they come back before the scheduled walk through to do a quick touch up on some places of concern, Lorraine also followed up with me after the walk through to make sure we were not dinged on anything related to cleaning. To say the least, the result not only met, but exceeded the expectation. I also want to comment on the trustworthy aspect. Because of scheduling conflicts, I ended up needing to pay them in advance, this can be scary when hiring a company for the first time. Again, let me say, they met and exceeded the expectation and fully gained mHighly recommend.
