Harry and his crew did a fantastic job! Everything looks so nice! Prices were reasonable and everything was done timely. They finished before their projected date and even came back afterwards to do some extra polishing (even though they had already left it clean)! I would definitely use them again! read more

The crew came promptly every morning at 7:30am and completed the work in the time we were told the project would be finished. We were so happy with it, we hired them to work on our front yard as well. Harry gave us many ideas about how to cut the cost and is very knowledgeable about plants and shrubs. My husband has always been responsible for our landscaping so you can imagine someone else coming on board. However, I was concerned about any upcoming irrigation restrictions, so i contacted Modern Landscaping. Mr. Reza immediately knew my vision, was able to include my husband and bring my vision to fruition. He also suggested some improvements in our watering schedule, soil, feeding, etc. He's the entire package and completed our job in 2 days so I won't have to worry about the upcoming constant heat. I previously employed a "landscape architect" and was very disappointed. This company is THE COMPLETE PACKAGE, FABULOUS and reasonably priced. read more

Harry came out in November 2020 to give us an estimate for some basic landscaping for a house we had just purchased. He showed up, took notes, took photos, and I sent him additional photos. He said he would send me an estimate within a week. I never heard from him again. If you don't want the job, say so. Don't leave perspective customers hanging and assuming you will be reliable. They might just leave a negative review on Yelp. read more

I just needed to extend the patio in the backyard. Only about 3 yards of concrete. A couple of contractors had given me bids then seemingly dropped off the face of the planet! My hair stylist referred me to Harry. At first I was skeptical because I've had a couple of bad experiences with contractors being costly, unresponsive, unprofessional, etc. I talked to Harry on a Friday, he gave me the estimate on a Saturday, sent written estimate via email by that evening. The price was most fair and very reasonable for my budget as I have to pay as I go per project. His crew started work on Wednesday and finished Thursday! I am so happy with the quality of work as well as Harry's and his crews work ethic. They were prompt, professional and courteous and did exactly what I expected per the estimate! I will most definitely hire Harry again! read more

I purchased a new home that was surrounded by dirt and there was no yard to speak of. Harry LISTENED to what I had in mind, designed a layout, and recommended plants and features that created a beautiful environment. Starting from nothing but dirt, his crew transformed the front and back yards within 1 month. Neighbors and visitors share unsolicited compliments about how nice it looks and the value of my home was positively impacted. Harry continues to update flowers and plants every so often to freshen the yard's appearance. Thank you, Harry! read more

I absolutely hate to leave poor reviews for individual businesses but I have no choice. I called on 7/17 to schedule a estimate on my backyard. I spoke with Harry over the phone and set an appointment for 10:00am on 7/21. 10:00am came and went and at 10:30am I called him to find out what the issue was and he simply said "oh, I missed that one." Yes, he did in fact miss it. My husband took time off work to be home for this consult and Harry didn't even bother to show up or even call to reschedule. He asked if I wanted him to come over anyway and I said absolutely not. I'll be looking for another company. I understand that life happens but to "no call, no show" someone is inexcusable and unprofessional. read more

Modern did a great job on our backyard project! When we bought our house, it had ugly asphalt and fake grass in the back, it was a mess. We hired Modern to replace our fence from wood to vinyl and install an electric sliding gate. They also poured us a new concrete driveway and installed real grass, with sprinklers. They changed our front garden sprinklers to a drip system too. Modern did a beautiful job with our project and we're really happy with their service! Will definitely hire again for other projects. read more

Long overdue review as we got our landscaping done around January 2020 but I would highly recommend Harry! He is professional, trustworthy, responsive and kind! He has a keen eye for style and design and made great suggestions as to the details of our backyard/front areas as well as our driveway. We are very pleased with our fake grass on the playground areas for the kids and the concrete expansion on our driveway! Not sure about the prior negative reviews with communication, as he always timely made it to every appointment and also responded to each text/question I had (and I had alot). Five stars for sure, I've recommended him and his company to any friend in the area who is looking for landscaping services. read more

Harry and his team are a gem here in Redlands! This is the 2nd time I have utilized his services this year and he continues to meet and even beat my expectations. He is extremely timely in returning calls, coming out and providing a bid and then beginning the work. I believe the work I have had him complete on my property is minimal compared to the majority of the work he does and he never has turned me away saying my job was "too small". I would highly recommend Harry for the quality of work his team does and reasonable prices. Nothing has made me happier (and my pool lady) than looking out the window seeing his team cleaning my pool of the debris after the work has been completed. It is the little things that are big things! read more

We recently renovated our backyard with Modern Landscape and are very pleased with the results and the process. Our job involved replacing a large patio area with pavers, installing an aluminum patio cover, synthetic turf in the backyard areas, building different levels and a terraced garden on the slope area and landscaping with new plants, rock, and mulch, plus new irrigation throughout. Harry was very patient during the planning process and he listened very carefully to our likes and dislikes. He also provided great feedback on our design and blended his creative ideas into it. He was very flexible and accommodating with our requirements and was willing to make changes as needed even if it would result in additional work. He has immense knowledge in livescape which helped us choose the trees and flowers that were right for us ! The fact that he was always available to answer our questions and would take care of any maintenance tasks that were needed, made us stress-free and allowed us to enjoy our new beautiful garden. Overall we were very satisfied and impressed with Modern Landscape's commitment and passion . read more

Harry seems knowledgeable but communication is poor and does not follow up. I would not recommend him for future projects.

Harry was a competitive bid out of three bids and he did not disappoint. He landscaped my entire yard, with DG, sod , stepping stones and a new irrigation system. I would highly recommend Modern Landscaping specifically Harry Reza for your landscaping needs at a reasonable price. Thanks again Harry! read more

Harry and his crew at Modern Landscape did an amazing job transforming our backyard. The yard had never been properly landscaped. It featured cracked concrete, overgrown tree roots and hard-packed dirt. Modern Landscape put in a new lawn and sprinker system, built a large planter bed, and created two patio areas (one with pavers, one with brick). Not only were the results gorgeous, but all of the work was done on time and on budget. Harry is a pleasure to work with - thoroughly professional and responsive to the customer's needs. I am grateful to have found Modern Landscape, and they have my highest recommendation. read more

Excellent work! Trustworthy, professional service! Harry gave us a free estimate with a no pressure quote. We got 3 estimates and his price was very competitive. We found Modern Landscape on yelp. Harry was on time and had landscaping ideas as well as listened to what our vision was. He landscaped our backyard. It took more time than we had anticipated only because he was trying to kill off some nut grass we had, to ensure our new grass would keep healthy. He and his crew worked very hard to implement our vision. We had new grass, a border with plants, pavers where there was once a tree and lighting all put in. His price was fair and with every change in the process he was gracious and willing to make changes. At the very end we decided to put a couple poles in to hold a sun sail. The very next day he had them in. He was a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend him. read more

These folks are great. I called them from their website which I found online and cannot say enough great things about them. They were on time, professional, cleaned up well, and were quick. We had new wood fences installed, a large area of decomposed granite and gravel. I have some pros and cons to share. The pros would be: The work turned out great. I can't really complain. The price was extremely reasonable. The cons: There were issues with getting the project actually started. There were delays. I think because, although Harry comes out and takes the initial estimate and measurement, ect, he doesn't really do the labor himself, but hires sub-contractors or labor. So I think there was an issue getting that going, but that's a guess. When working with Harry, communication is key. I think this was my fault because I should have been much more specific. When I clarified what the vision I had in detail and with pictures, he made sure it got done. The sub-contractor he used, John, was awesome. He built our fences and did an excellent job. We even hired John to paint the exterior of our home and do some tile work. With all that being said, I would recommend Modern Landscaping. We are very happy with the end result. read more

Among the things I really appreciate about Modern Landscape is working with Harry. From the moment he came to give us an estimate to the final walk through, it was evident that he cared and loved what he does. He took ownership in our project. He was always responsive to my wife and me. Harry is also very talented. He took the time to discuss our goals and put together a beautiful project. Maybe most importantly, Modern Landscape's prices were amazing. We shopped around before being recommended to Harry. The other contractors did not seem as invested in the project. Thank you Harry for a remarkable job. We hope to refer you plenty of business in future. You deserve it! read more

I've dealt with numerous contractors from all phases of construction and landscaping, and have never been able to write a review as glowing and positive as this one. Harry, the owner, came out to our new home where there was nothing in the backyard except dirt. After a few minutes, I could see that our project would be handled by a true professional. He has many years of experience. Prior to contacting him, I visited with some of the nurseries in the area, asking them, "who would you use if it were you own home?" 2 out of the 3 specifically stated (without any hesitation) Harry at Modern Landscape. The other nursery (whose name I won't mention) didn't seem to give a damn about anything and didn't have any idea who was competent and who wasn't. As it turned out, Harry's crew was beyond excellent. We had a basalt fountain custom made through Rio Stone in Beaumont. BTW, they, too, recommended Modern Landscape. I must also add that the pricing for this project fit into our budget very nicely. His design included an 18' x 14' deck and pathway using high quality pavers and lighting. I wholeheartedly recommend Harry. It was a pleasure to work with him. read more

I shopped around for months trying to find the right honest company to do my back yard landscape, I wanted to pull my grass and do a colored stamped concrete with a fire pit. After speaking to many contractors and non licensed workers, I was referred by a my friends dad who had his front yard done in Redlands and was happy with the outcome. I finally agreed on a price and began the demo. It took about 5 weeks for all of it, and was done tastefully, I was very happy about the recommendations that were made regarding extra lines of plumbing and electrical, that are now so useful for my backyard lighting. I would use them again! read more

A year ago, when we moved into our new home, our backyard was just dirt - a blank slate. One of our goals was to transform the backyard into a space we could enjoy by ourselves and also have the space to entertain. Harry Reza and Modern Landscape helped us accomplish that. My girlfriend and I are first-time homeowners and wanted it to be perfect. Harry was very patient and accommodating. We had a specific nursery we wanted to buy our plants from. This nursery was over 60 miles away in Bonsall, and Harry drove all the way out there to help us pick out plants. He is very flexible and easy to work with. We are definitely going to use Modern Landscape to do the front yard next. We would recommend Modern Landscape to anyone. read more
