Our quarterly taxes were missed ALL 8 TIMES! Our LLC was supposed to be switched over to file as an S Corporation and the application was sent off like a postcard! No receipt confirmation or follow up from CPG and a year later we find out the IRS never received the application and we would have to wait until next year to be approved and file accordingly. "I don't know what to tell you" was their response and the extra $10,000 plus was our liability. On their site it says, "At CPG, we believe successful relationships are built on care, trust, understanding and open communication." I can't emphasize enough how opposite they treated us. Do yourself a favor and save your time, money and energy and find someone else! We did and have been 10 times better since we switched and we recommend him to EVERYONE we know, work with and meet! First, the mundane stuff, that shows a lack of professionalism: Forgot about my returns. Multiple times. Didn't return multiple phone calls and emails. Charged me an astronomical fee. We negotiated slightly lower than the original fee, and then when it came time to pay, he tried to charge me more. It took two months to complete relatively easy returns. Every time I called I was treated as a nuance. One of the final times I called I was asked to give him a couple days, after a week with no contact I gave him a call. This seemed to anger him. Then, the issues that show a lack of knowledge, and general incompetency: Missed my education deduction despite me telling him twice. Didn't deduct my home office despite knowing that I work from home. Improperly reported that I had MassHealth insurance full year, which I wouldn't even qualify for, and when I only lived in the state half the year Initially informed me that I owed thousands of dollars over a Roth disbursement of contributions because he didn't know this was tax free, which I told him it was before we even started, and then had to direct him to the IRS publications. Got me audited in record breaking time. It only took a couple days from submission.

Joy Insurance gave us the run around for weeks before we could get a rental vehicle. We finally were given authorization to get a rental vehicle that I paid out of pocket. I did get reimbursed for this, however the time they authorized the rental my vehicle was almost ready from the body shop. I only used the rental vehicle for 3 days and the car was in the shop for more than 2 weeks. I was also not given thorough info regarding transferring insurance to my son. Needless to say, this was the icing on the cake for us to leave. Very unhappy how this ended with them. This is in response to Liam Joy: I did receive a voicemail and email from your Dad. The email he sent did not have accurate facts. First off, you never explained the process on transferring insurance to my son's name. You took our son's money and then at the 11th hour after time passed you decided to call him and ask about plates. You expected him to know that he needs the title signed over. Nothing was ever explained about the process. This is typical for your agency, just like the claim process. It would have been nice to get a call directly from you when you discovered there was a problem. Let me just say, you had plenty of chances to call me and make good. You decided to ignore this, and thought it would go away. It is unfortunate that it ended this way.
