We have made several purchases from this business over the years and they have been great to deal…read morewith. We usually deal with a young man by the name of Paul. Recently we went back for another purchase. Paul was off that day so we ended up working with a sales representative by the name of Corliss and another employee (whose name I wish I could remember). That employee is the one that handles all of their cutting and binding. These two folks we extremely helpful and actually unrolled several types of carpet so we could get a better look at it. The binding fellow actually spent a considerable amount of time with us explaining different types of binding material and showing us different contrasting colors to go with the carpet we ended up selecting. It was actually very close to the end of his shift but he actually said he would stay late to be able to cut and bind our carpet while we waited so we would not have to make a second trip for a pickup. We highly recommend this business for their tremendous selection of carpeting and also for their absolutely outstanding customer service. They clearly want to be sure they have satisfied and, hopefully, return customers. Don't hesitate to give them a try.

My wife and I are looking for new flooring for our kitchen. We have been to some of the large big…read morebox stores and also looked online, but it can be an overwhelming and frustrating experience. Sometimes we want to ask questions but finding an employee was difficult, and other times we just want to be left alone to look around. This place offered both, along with many selections of different types of flooring. Yes, it is a warehouse inside so some things seemed jumbled around. But, the salesperson (Paul) was extremely helpful in explaining to us some of the options available and differences in product lines. We haven't bought anything yet (and they work on commission) but he seemed happy to just help us out whether we made a purchase or not. Once we know for sure what we want, we likely will be coming back here.

Stickley Furniture - The "quality" of my upholstery job did not match the floor model nor online appearance of my Gus Morris Chair

Designer Jan Schoen is that rarest of people involved in sales: instead of haranguing customers about what they should buy, she somehow knows how to make it easy for customers to buy furniture from her. Her knowledge of furniture and the entire Stickley line is encyclopedic; yet, she never gives the impression that she is doing anything other than answering customer questions. Even when we had to track down some throw pillows that didn't make the shipment, Jan was on the case. Her consummate professionalism, patience, and humor is what made shopping for furniture a joy, rather than drudgery. As they say on television commercials, "ask for her by name." Even the best salesperson's finest efforts can end up being bitter if the crew delivering your purchases lack the knowledge and experience to do their job. Our two delivery personnel, Moses and Serieon, were the tip of the arrow of their profession. Getting everything we bought into the house and making it look as if it had always been there, while making it seem far less of an effort than it truly was, is the hallmark of a pair of professionals. To sum up: our experience was wonderful. May yours be the same.

I shared pics and concerns on line and someone quickly responded. Sales rep Sharon conveniently called me outside of the email chain to share her mutual feelings of the subpar appearance outside of the documentation of email. Ultimately, they only offered to put some extra batting in the cushions. I wasn't looking for a return or refund, but I think replacement cushions is a realistic expectation when they don't match the floor model or online appearance.

*Great Furniture, Terrible Customer Service and Delivery Experience*…read more My experience with Bob's Discount Furniture was beyond frustrating. When you're spending your hard-earned money on furniture, you expect a company to be upfront and honest about when you can expect to receive it. Apparently, that's asking too much. The biggest issue was the delivery scheduling. Their website advertised delivery dates that didn't match what I was being told by their employees. How can you advertise one thing online and then tell customers something completely different after they've placed an order? To make matters worse, trying to get the situation resolved was another headache. Instead of making things right, the entire experience felt like one inconvenience after another. I understand that delivery schedules can change. What I don't understand is the lack of clear communication and the misleading expectations. Customers shouldn't have to chase down answers or waste their time trying to figure out when their furniture will actually arrive. *Bob's needs to understand that customer service doesn't end once they have your money.* A good price means very little when the buying experience is this frustrating. I would seriously think twice before purchasing from Bob's again. The furniture might be discounted, but apparently, so is the customer service.
