While I did get my hair cut here once by Paul and he did a fantastic job...this review is really for their men's haircuts. Everytime they cut my fiancee's hair, I was amazed at how clean and trendy the cut and style was...and for less than $20 including tip. FYI a woman's cut was $45. He isn't the type to be too picky about telling stylists what to do, which can be challenging for some stylists, but with minimal effort they were able to give him a cut that really suited him. Why go to one of those pretentious "men's salons" and pay $30 for a cut that's equal if not better than here. In addition, everyone's really nice, quick, and not too talkative (which I find preferable). The place is really clean with a modern decor, they do take walk-ins and don't ever seem to be crazy busy (which is really surprising). I've been going here since October and I've never gotten anything but the best service and excellent haircuts. All of the barbers here give great attention to detail. Wendy cut my hair today and did a phenomenal job making sure every detail was perfect. The price is good for the area and they accept cards. I have found my new place to cut my hair in Tustin. I just recently moved to the area and it is very convenient that it is a block away from where I live. I got my hair cut with Paul and he does a great job. He is very precise and will always ask to get my hair cut with him. Came here based on a coworker's recommendation. It's a little out of the way but I heard great things. Paul did not disappoint. Walked in at 5pm and Paul actually fit me in before a 5:30 appointment. You can really tell that he takes pride in his work. I've got really stubborn hair and Paul gave my hair a good combing to see where my cowlicks were growing. Overall, I'd recommend this place if you're in the area. However, I don't see myself returning because although he had to cut it short (sweet pun, bro) to make time for his appointment, I feel like he rushed through the cut and I notice a lot of jagged edges and uneven lines when I got home. Ive been coming to modern barber for the past three months since he opened. Paul (the owner) has cut my hair 4 times since and I couldn't be happier. My old barber in Michigan cut my hair for almost 10 years and so looking for a new barber can be very difficult. Ive tried around 10 different barber shops in my area and none cut my hair like paul did. Hes very precise and takes his time to make sure it's perfect. He even suggested a new style for me and I love it! The shop is nice and clean and he also has free coffee and tea along with comfy sofas while you wait. I've gotten a couple hair cuts there since it's right around the corner from my job. The shop is very clean and modern. Today I got a haircut from Paul (believe he is the owner). First time checking this place out. I was greeted upon my entry by Paul who ended up being the person cutting my hair. I used the restroom which was clean and orderly. I was then ready for the cut. I ended up getting a regular cut, beard trim, and shampoo. The cut was good and Paul listened to my request and guidance before jumping right in. The beard trim was solid and once again he listened and took direction throughout the process. The shampoo/scalp massage was good and I believe Tea Tree was used.
