I've taken the kids to go Airsoft 3 time now and they really have a nice layout. Their employees are pretty helpful as well.

What an amazing birthday party at giant paintball! We had an adult group of 10 people and were able…read moreto reserve our own fields. Our referee James was wonderful!!! He really made the experience fun for everyone, both the experienced players and those of us who were playing for the first time ever. If you're looking for a fun sober adult group activity, this was great!

THIS RATING IS FROM A DAY OF WALK IN ON A SATURDAY @12:45PM FOR A 9 YEAR OLD PAINTBALL SOFT…read more Paintball Soft is good for ages 7+. The gun power is less and the bullets are smaller to hurt less. Next time, I will definitely reserve a spot 24hrs prior. 4 stars only because from 12:45pm - 4pm my 9 year old only played 2 games. I don't know if this is an average. Face shield mandatory! Long loose pants, long sleeve shirts, and gloves are recommended. Thick layers or double layer are ideal for pain tolerance and weather conditions. Closed toed comfortable shoes. Wear close that you're okay getting dirty. Non alcoholic beverages, snacks and food are okay. You just can't BBQ or cook anything. 12:45PM - Arrived. The park is in the Barona area. The park shares space close to a Motocross/Dirt Bike Track. Signs will point you in the correct direction. Parking is on a dirt lot. Free parking. Checked it for a walk in. There were no Paintball Soft Guns available for rent at arrival, but the front desk guy said between 1:15pm - 1:30pm he will have an answer. We waited until then. 1:30PM - Paintball Soft Gun available. I paid $65 for 1000 paint balls, entry, mask, and gun rental. They taught my 9 year old how to manage the Paintball Soft Gun. There was a target area where he could practice shooting. 1:45PM - The referee had to take his 30min break. 2:15PM - Referee done with break. He gathered all the Paintball Soft crew. Broke the group up into a green team and pink team. He explained the rules of how to handle the gun, when to not shoot, masks always on, etc. 2:30PM - Game 1. Walked over to the first map. I was a spectator. The players looked like they had fun. Parents can watch from a far. Maps are located on beginner friendly hiking trails 3:00PM - Game end. 10 minute break for next game. 3:30PM - Gather group back. Referee briefs the group again. Walks group to new map. Game 2 begins. 4:00PM - Game ends. My nephew is tired and ready to be done. The park closes at 4PM but there were still games starting after. If we stayed, my nephew would probably have done a total of 3 games.

MAKE SURE YOU BRING: - GLOVES (it'll hurt to get ball'd…read morewithout them) - PADDING FOR NECK/OTHER AREAS - A CHANGE OF CLOTHES. - SUNSCREEN - A LOCK FOR THE LOCKER. - A HAT TO PROTECT YOUR HAIR? - BRING FOOD. THERE ARE NO PLACES TO EAT NEARBY. - WATER. WATER. WATER. If you're using a GPS, it will be super easy to find this place. If you're not, then it can be slightly tricky. KEEP YOUR EYE ON THE SIGNS. Lots of parking! This was my first time ever paintballing so I was a little weary of being in pain. And I kid you not, after shooting your first few rounds you realize how powerful your gun is. And with that, how much it would hurt to get hit. I definitely prayed that I wouldn't die that day--and God had mercy. Thankfully I never wanted to rambo anyone so I stayed clear from emminent danger. Others, not so lucky. We had the Living Social deal (6 tickets for 30 bucks including gear, entrance fee, etc. Pay for paintballs) The lady and other staff were very helpful in getting my party of 7 (mostly newbies) squared away with gear and safety precautions. And minus the adrenaline-rushing factor, it was a great feeling when your team would win a few times. 400 rounds of paintballs cost 11.50 after tax. Lasts 3-4 games if you dont go crazy. Air is free to refill. Tips: - Take a dump before coming here - there are only portable restrooms. Ew, man. - Expect to at least pay 20 bucks extra per person. - Make friends and you'll have a lot of fun. We even got a free box of paintballs because a party just bailed and left it behind for us. - Dont be too scared of being hit or else you'll just stand around scared...like me. - If you have stray paintballs on the ground, DONT PUT THEM IN YOUR GUN. Step on them; they are strangely therapeutic and feel funny like you're crushing big berries...or snails.

What a workout that was! I'm definitely gonna sleep well and get that hurt-so-good achy soreness…read moretomorrow from this adrenaline laced activity. I bought a Groupon in advance for a party of 12, then went online to make a reservation. A sales rep called me back within 24 hours as the website promised and we went over the usual information. Checking in was a breeze and the guys at registration and equipment rental made sure our group was taken care of. The guys were great and immediately fixed or replaced any rental equipment, they also offered to help troubleshoot any issues from my friends' markers (guns) they brought in. Dylan was our dedicated concierge-referee for the day because our group was a private party, so no walk-on hardcore experts were allowed to blast our group of mostly casuals & newbies. Dylan made sure we checked out all the different fields (maps) and kept the pace moving. He is a cool dude, like the rest of the staff, and knowledgable with the paintball craft. The fields: Urban, Castle, Western, Spools, Grove. Each environment provided a variety of hard cover, terrain type, and boundary size to challenge any skill level. It's not the most number of fields for a San Diego park, but there's enough to entertain our group for several hours when you mix in different game types and objectives. My legs and feet are still feeling the effect of the workout. Another plus is the opportunity to see the Cleveland National Forest and its local flora and fauna. There still isn't a snack bar, so you must bring your own snacks and drinks. We hiked our coolers around the dirt trail from the parking lot to the picnic area. The general community of paintballer groups are respectful of each other's space. Giant Paintball has lockers available, but we felt comfortable enough leaving our coolers and extra boxes of paintball ammo unattended in the picnic area as we went off to play our matches. While some may find exception with the distant parking lot, port-a-potties, or no refreshment stand, I think Giant Paintball Alpine provides a very good time in terms of customer service and available venues that the negatives aren't really deal breakers if you know what to expect in advance. If you're not into the action, there's still Viejas casino & outlet shopping nearby and Alpine Brewery is just down the hill. We'll be back again sometime.

I have several Dye products ranging from DAM, Rail, Rotor and assorted pod packs and vests…read more I will say I am a little disappointed in the lack of variety for the scenario/mil sim player. Their catalog no longer includes the tactical gear, vests or molle pouches though they still carry the DAM and magazines. They just don't give you options on how to carry them on the field. As for the HQ location the building is nice, parking is good and they have a display room. The problem is you don't really have the setup that is suitable to window shopping. You will need to know what you want when you walk through the door. They have frequent walk ins but aren't really designed to support that function. I was able to buy some items but it took a while between the clerk ringing up the order and having someone run stuff from the warehouse. Not really a destination to visit but worth the trip if you live in the area. I ended up here after all of the SD area paintball shops didn't have any Dye gear in stock.

A month later it still hasn't been charge to my credit card. I called to cancel my order because i was just tired of waiting for it. They said that they were out of stock this whole time, now it would have been nice to have receive a call from them and letting me know that it was going to take some time for me to receive it. Now the 2 stars is for the service not the products they have, Dye is great for your gear.
