Not only is this place overpriced, they did not take their time on our pedicures, I noticed they don't sanitize their tools, as soon as my sister and I got up 2 other ladies sat in our chairs. They did not sanitize the tub nor the instruments, they also did not have the mandatory bags that go on the tubs to avoid fungus. We will never come back. Don't even waste your time go somewhere else. My first time here I thought if I got a regular manicure I would be safe going with anyone but the girl that did my nails did not know how to paint nails I had to tell her 3 times to paint my entire nail and she still left the sides and back of my nail uneven. She was very rude and dismissive when I asked her to fix my nails. The worst part is that she cut my cuticle on two nails and kept putting alcohol on my entire hand making it worse. I think the only one worth coming here to see is Kevin there was a line for him. Never coming again. Update. The cuticle she cut is now swollen, red and infected with puss coming out. I've had technicians accidentally cut me before I know it can happen but I have never had an infection before which means this place must not disinfect their tools properly. read more

Went in on Friday 4/19 and it was pretty empty..I got a gel mani. The lady that did my nails was very rough, she didn't know how to file my nails the square shape I asked for, the lady next to her had to show her how. So not even 2 days later I notice the way the gel is turning. The clear coat is super uneven, it's not on the whole edge of the nail over the color so it's making my nails look dirty ..I've gotten gel many times in other places and never had it looked this way specially not 2 days after I got them. I went to get my nails done and not only did they let 2 people go on front of me but when They started doing my nails it was 7:03 pm and I got there at 5:20pm , when doing my nails this lady started hurting me and I kept telling her and she started laughing and mocking me and I told her I could understand what she was saying ... I let her slide ... after I told her to please make my nails thin I hated when they were thick and then gel makes them even thicker and she said ok but she left them so thick and I told her to file them and she started filing them sooo bad ... I kept telling her to fix it because it was looking like my nails had dents and she said she couldn't do it ... so I told her just leave it I'm ganna pay for my toes but not my nails and I got up and she came behind me and wouldn't let me leave (I was the only one left in the store) and then she started grabbing on my arms and trying to cut my nails off and she was trying to hold me down ... I told her to get off me and I was getting really harassed. She didn't want me to pay for my toes she wanted me to pay for my ugly nails or she had to yank them off ... it escalated as I walked out and she pulled me behind and pulled my purse I had to ask security for help which then led to me finding the police man on subway ... they helped me out from these ladies that were harassing me inside the store and grabbing me on my wrist . I had initially chosen several other nail salons in the LA area but none of them offered free parking of any kind (or they required you to find street parking) so I chose the first salon that didn't give me any parking troubles and it was this one. It doesn't look like much at first. But you can't judge a book by its cover. I came right at opening and despite their many employees, there was just one spot available with Brian. Initially, he looked young but he did such an amazing job with my nails- I've never been so happy. I've been instagramming anything with the exception that my nails show lol Brian suggested that I go from my usual oval to coffin shaped saying that it would look better on me. And I love them! He also took the time to remove my prior gel. They were difficult to remove but he did so without hurting me one bit. A salon I can count on! I am new to the LA area and I was referred to Emily by a friend, who knows how picky I am with my nails and brows.. Not only can I count on Emily to always make me happy with my nails and brows.. always.. She also blew me away with the most natural and beautiful set of lashes. For years I couldn't get lashes because I always had an allergic reaction. The staff was friendly, Emily who did my nails was a sweetheart, the gentleman who did my pedicure ...not so nice. My toes hurt for like 4 days after OUCH! I paid 20 for a simple all white pedicure which wasn't bad, and their massage chairs were nice and comfy :) The bad part was that my nails look nothing like the picture I asked for, and I paid $2 extra for matte nails and she quickly applied a matte top coat that when dry showed shiny parts all around where the coat was not properly applied. Worst part is I accidently left behind a pair of flats after my pedicure, which somehow no one ever saw. read more

I wanted to like this place. Staff is friendly and attentive. For the most part, it has great reviews and so I expected to get great service. I came in for a gel mani and regular pedicure. For the pedicure, the lady did a phenomenal job. She was thorough in the cutting and filing and was attentive. However she does not do manicures. For this reason, I have no idea why she even decided to do my manicure and eventually have another person do my gel nails. It wasn't until afterwards that I realized she was just trying to help and speed the process, as it started getting busy. She cut my nails so short, after it took me so long to grow them AND I told her not to cut too much. Also, she cut them very uneven. I figured I just try to get the person who would do my nails to fix them. The guy who did my gel nails however, did not understand what I was trying to tell him. Instead he rounded my nails more, so my short nails ended up shorter but not even. In addition, he messed up one of my nails, which I didn't notice until after I left. It has a blob of the clear top coat and he didn't clean the spots he left around my thumb. The UV light was also too strong and I know I wasn't the only one as my sisters said the same thing. It was painful to leave my hand under that light for too long. Overall, I think the price (35 for both mani and pedi) speaks for the type of service they provide. And I know people were growing frustrated about waiting but it doesn't mean you can do a terrible job just to get people out the door quicker. I will not be coming back and would suggest if you decide to come here, come in early before it gets busy. read more

Something has happened where the majority of the staff has quit and there are only few technicians who still work here so the wait time is astronomical. I have acrylic nails and I always get a fill, pedicure and my eyebrows waxed. The last few times I came, my acrylic nails have broken off completely. Full on nails breaking completely off. They have also raised their prices which I would have no problem with if the quality of work was up to par. It isn't. Emily the owner is the only one who waxes eyebrows and she always has an attitude if you need yours done. I'll be damned if I pay more money for shitty service when Platinum Nails are right up the street and do a way better job and they cost less than Model Nails. I decided to try this place out after seeing all the great reviews. I got there a little before 6 on Thursday and didn't get outta there till about 820pm. there was 3 people ahead of me. I told them I wanted a mani pedi and they had me seated right away. I ended up waiting about an hour and a half till they got to me. My feet were all wrinkled from having soaked so long. I should have left but I thought maybe if they at least did a really good job I'd be happy. I was wrong. The pedi was really good But the manicure omg I wanted to cry. It was the worse manicure I have every gotten in my life. The nails were uneven. I like them short and square. They were all different lengths and definitely not square. It looked so horrible I went home and removed the polish. I don't get it she did a really good pedi I don't know if she was just rushing with the mani but I will not be back. This place absolutely sucks. I went in for a pedicure & got the Deluxe special that comes with callus removal. First, it was a super rushed job and business was slow (I came at 1:30 on a weekday) so there was really no reason to rush and the overall paint job wasn't the best. Second, after the callus removal there was still skin that hadn't been removed and the worst part of all or at least I think its the worst part is that they charge $2 for disposal flip flops, so don't forget to bring a pair of sandals. I had just came off of work and was wearing crocs and thought I would be given a pair of flip flops so my fresh pedicure wouldn't get destroyed, but they tried to charge me. I think this is outrageous being that getting a pair of flip flops, especially if you don't have the proper shoes is usually complimentary at any foot spa you go to. It just sucks, I think the amount of stars (3) and reviews that they were given definitely fit the description of this place. Never again. It's convenient and close to work, but I'm gonna have to keep looking for a new spot. read more

The lady just threw out a price of $30 dollars when I told her I didn't need to get a manicure (since I got one the day before) or a full set. Really $30 just to get my nails polished?!
