Previously, I'd been with my technician for 20+ years. I was referred to Vintage Nail Bar in Charlotte. Even though there were many salons closer to my new home, I went to see Steven based on this recommendation. I was not disappointed! He was so nice, friendly, and on time for my appointment. The salon was spacious and clean. My husband had a pedi with Vin and said he was great, too. There was another technician there, Pim, who seemed so kind - always smiling at incoming customers. I understand she does a great job with builder gel and will try her, too, in case Steven isn't available. For reference I am over 60 years young () and wanted a natural looking nail, thin on the sides and top. I'm so happy to have found this nail salon!

Kelly was my technician and she did a fantastic job. She was meticulous in the preparation of my nails for polish. She gave a very relaxing foot and lower leg massage, as well. Her polish application was perfect and she gave each coat time to dry. The result was a mani/ pedi that should last for a long time. It's already been three days with a lot of gardening and dish washing, and my hands still look perfect. Usually several nails would be showing signs of wear by now. I'm super happy and will definitely be back soon. I may have found my new "go-to" nail salon. Note: the place was busy on this Thursday afternoon. I'm glad I had an appointment.

Jane's Christmas magic! If you want to get your nails done…read moreand you want them to look good AND last 3+ weeks... go to Glossy nails in Matthew's! My friend told me about this place a few months ago and I cannot gate keep any longer Everyone who has ever done my nails there is amazing but JANE is my girl! She is the absolute BEST nail tech I have EVER had. Jane listens to exactly what you want and if you're indecisive like me she will help you figure something out that you will absolutely LOVE. They have 100s of colors including my fave cat eye options and they keep up with the newest, healthiest trends. On my nails I have the NEW T.A.P. Hybrid gel! It feels and looks so natural but is sturdy enough to last 3+ weeks. I'm rough on my hands at work and Jane makes sure she applies the right amount to ensure longevity. Another bonus, my natural nails are growing like crazy! Anyway...I could go on and on about how much I love this place. I'm scared to post because as busy as Jane is now y'all might make it harder for me to book an appt . Oh and another thing.... Their salon is A+ for cleanliness and amazing customer service! If you pay cash you get a card to stamp each time you visit. There are over 10 pedicure chairs and the wait is never long. Love you glossy nails!!!

L Nails It's was…read moredefinitely one of the worst experiences I've had...and I do mean the worst. This place was recommended to me by two different friends because I like designs and the places I tried were only able to do basic stuff. I've recently moved to Charlotte, and I've tried a few different businesses, so I figured I'd try them out. I'll start with the positive. 1) Regular customers were greeted warmly. 2) The lady who did my pedicure was extremely nice. That's all I got... Everything else was downhill. I waited 45 minutes to get seen which considering I did not have an appointment wasn't bad EXCEPT as usual, I asked before I sat down how long it takes to be seen and serviced (I will gladly come back if they are honest about time) I assumed I would get my nails done directly after my pedicure. That did not happen. I waited another 60 minutes after my pedicure to get my nails done. I also noticed that this happened a few times, so it seems this is how they try to keep you there, knowing it's going to be a longer wait but once you are in the chair getting your feet done where are you going to go? After my pedicure, I sat in the massage chair for another hour. Which wasn't so bad until they needed the chair. Then I sat at an empty station for another 30 minutes. A nail came in around 4 and got to work on giving my fill and fixing two nails. The entire time, she spoke to everyone but me. No biggie, except now I have to pay close attention to what you're doing and point out the rush job....cause multi-tasking wasn't her strength. The fill was sloppy, lumpy, and rushed. I repeatedly had to ask her to file, shape, and clean up my nails. She was very distracted by retelling everyone the story behind the hickies on her neck and once again no biggie if you can do that and do nice work. Just don't get an attitude when you're not doing a good job due to distractions. I asked for a particular color (before she came), and once it was time to paint my nails, it was "Oh, we don't have it" but this is close she didn't even pretend to look. I didn't have the time or energy to go back and forth. My nail broke later that day. I had to wait until Monday to get it fixed. I went back, and the OWNER made me wait until the girl who did my nails came in to fix it. I had to wait 30 minutes until she got there, and then she slapped on two more coats on the broken nail just as sloppy as the first time. I went somewhere else and had them done correctly.
