Chick-fil-A, the culinary equivalent of a warm hug and a polite "my pleasure!!" Now, Illinois Chick-fil-A has drive-thru booths.... little human vending machines that Californians like us can only describe as fascinating anthropological discoveries. We skipped the futuristic drive-thru, though, and bravely dined al fresco, bc the sun was out and we're fancy like that... until the wind tried to blow our waffle fries into Lake Michigan!! Wind chill!!! But comforted by my go to Spicy Delixe, waffle fries, and lemonade. As always, the staff were sunshine in human form... smiling, efficient, and displaying that southern hospitality charm. In short: Chick-fil-A once again proved that no matter the zip code, they serve comfort, consistency, and chicken that could unite the nation!!

The decor inside is always so fun for each location. You can either order at the kiosk or walk up to the counter and wait for your number to be called. My go to is the beef and cheddar with hot peppers and their classic cheese fries. You can't go wrong with their classics. They also have decent ribs, you will need to wait about 20 minutes or so for it but it's delish if you've got the time! Although I've been convinced that I need to try their pasta with vodka sauce with chicken. That might be the next move. All in all, I love this location because it's always a perfect dinner spot when we're done running our target errands. Their drive through line always look long but we've never waited more than 5 - 10 minutes to order and get our food both drive thru and inside.
