They're EXTREMELY discriminatory and rude. We walked in with a service dog (NOT an emotional support animal or pet) and multiple staff members immediately told us we had to leave or sit outside (in 100+ degree heat!) without asking a single legal question. I usually love this place, but every once and a while I run into the same problem with the same workers at MOD pizza. The worker does not seem to double check customers orders. A customer should not be having to check the box to see if their order that was given to them was their order. read more

Terrible service!! The employee and manager gave me attitude for wanting to pay $100 in cash for our $30 tab. Not one time did they even check to see if there was enough change, cashier automatically told me she didn't have change for that big of a bill on such small of a bill. If I'm being critical, they need to enforce or institute a dress code. First off, the girl making our pizzas was very sloppy, just throwing the toppings on the pizzas; in the photo, you can see there were only artichokes less than half of the pizza. The kicker is when I saw the young woman grab the trash can with her hand and push trash into it with the other. Then, wearing the same gloves, she starts boxing pizzas. Unfortunately, my experience at the Signal Butte MOD Pizza location was very disappointing. The staff here didn't seem to prioritize cleanliness or customer service. When I asked for my order to be made without cheese due to an allergy, they made it really difficult and didn't change their gloves or clean the area properly. They said I couldn't not order because of this-This lack of care made me feel very uneasy about ordering my food and ended up leaving. I'll definitely be avoiding this location in the future. If you're looking for a clean, friendly environment, I recommend going to a different MOD Pizza location where the staff is more professional and accommodating. I used to love this place. It was my favorite build your own quick pizza. The quality of the ingredients has gone down. Their mozzarella is not good, which stinks since it is a main ingredient. The pizzas aren't made the way they used to be. Employees don't seem to be trained the same or held to the standard they once were. There were cold spots on the pizza, mushrooms and several other ingredients not cooked, yet the crust was burnt. Every bite was different as there would be globs of uncooked cheese and then more than 2 inches of crust, or bites of all onion. I love their caramelized pear tea, just a bummer their pizza has slowly been going down in quality every time I come. read more

I've been to several MOD pizza places in LA and Metro Phoenix. This one is in Southeast mesa near Apache Junction in a large, newer shopping center anchored by Walmart. Staff was very busy working hard(shout out to Austin & Brandon)but took my order and had pizza ready in under 15 minutes. I had the white sauce with Asiago "Dominic". I added salami, mozzarella, garlic, jalapenos, peppers and it comes with sausage. It was MOUTHWATERING delicious. The combined flavor profile was a winner. My taste buddies told me. It was a lot of pizza for less than $12. I rank this MOD best tasting pizza and pizza value I've had so far this year. Congrats Team MOD Mesa. read more

I have been here several times in the past and have NEVER had an issue. But the last 3 times I have came the service and the food had been nothing but disappointing. The last time I ordered through the app and ordered EXTRA dairy free cheese as you can see in my photo below, there was nothing but a sprinkle of cheese on this pizza, all they could do was refund my money - so I ended up having to wait 7 business days for that and had to get something else to eat. Today I called TWENTY min ahead and placed an order to make sure my order wasn't messed up.. because I was on the way somewhere. I went to pick it up and they hadn't even started making it, even thought I had been almost 10 min late picking it up, and they had already started making it wrong.. AGAIN. Went in last week and we were the only customers. Stood in the line for an awkward amount of time with zero acknowledgment from the 2 gals working there. I about felt ready to walk out when one finally asked what we wanted to order. I feel if you're catching up, tidying up, at least acknowledge your customer with "hello", "be right with you", "wecome in", but we got nothing. Even in ordering the food preparer was very unenthusiastic. The time I had been in before that, it was probably 8 months prior and their card reader was not working. I expressed that I was a vegan and would get sick if cheese or meat was on my food (I've been vegan for 15 years so I really do get sick if only something touches my food). I have been driving by this pizza place for months and finally decided to order to go. This is a build your own pizza and you have two choices of crust: thin & crispy or thick, Mod or Mega. We like them both. We have only ordered the "Mad Dog" and the second time we ordered with the Mega crust and some additional toppings. It's sauced just right and the toppings were well balanced throughout the pie. This isn't your chain-pizzeria's thick or stuffed crust pizza which has so much bread you end up throwing it away. It's not your grocery store flavorless crust pizza either. The toppings were fresh and colorful. And, if you like a little sweet something after you pizza, I would try the Mod pie cream filled brownie concoction. It was very tasty and hit the spot. We'll go back. read more

I'm not one to complain but I have worked in the food industry before and this location either needs new management and employees or to be closed all together. I have gone to this location multiple times and every time it gets worse. The store is rarely clean. The staff is absolutely terrible, they would rather talk with each other rather than the customers. It seems like your training process was non existent. There was clearly a new girl working there and no one was helping her. She had no clue what came on any pizza didn't know how long to keep the pizza in the oven. And the other two employees I did see could care less to help us or even help the new employee. They only stood around and talked to each other. If they did do something it was at a snails pace. I'm not sure of your dress code for your restaurants but I don't think pajamas should be permitted to wear to work. One employee looked like the got out of bed and walked into work. This location is absolutely terrible. They forgot to put something on my pizza that I DID ask for when I received the pizza and noticed it was not on there. I asked for it on the side. The employee tried to say well it doesn't come with it on it. After I clearly told them to put it on there. He was so disgusted that he had to move and grab something. I would have been able to make my decision if she would have stopped asking if I am ready. After about 5 minutes of this, I walked across the street and had great service and meal at In n Out. I love Mod pizza. Their gluten free pizza crust is my favorite gluten free pizza crust and I've tried many. It has a somewhat sweet texture and never seems over or under cooked which tends to happen with gluten free pizza dough. read more

This place just seems to be going down hill. Last few times they forgot something. They all just seem to be running around not knowing who is doing what. Tonight I place my order and arrived at the 20 min time that my online order was to be ready. They haven't even started the order and was told it would only be 10 minutes. Another 20 minutes later it was finally ready. All meanwhile people who have come in after me for in store orders are getting their pizzas. When I ask if this is something new where they don't start your order until you arrive and why 40 minutes.
