What can improve? Their customer service! Maybe it was the day. ‍ I don't ever want to give a place zero or just one star, because I'm sure there is a cringe worthy reason the woman that was lazily, (with as little effort, or care, as possible!!!) making a pizza for one of the 4 people in the store, 2 of who were awaiting pizzas. ‍The others were eating. But, they could've ordered another?!? Anyway, I walked in, smiled at her & said hello. She looked me in my eyes, ROLLED her eyes, turned around & walked towards the ovens & stood there with her hands down by her side, & did nothing. Just thought she needed a minute. We all have moments. So, I happily gave her 8 minutes. Yup! I watched her for 4, doing nothing. Then, she returned to "making" the pizza. The cashier, a gentleman, was helping a young man at the register with a drink. After I finally decided I didn't really want pizza for my 60th birthday after all, I decided I'd go for one if their No Name cakes. The gentleman tried to see if I wanted pizza, but it was too late. The first (?) I asked myself when I arrived was why is it so empty? After entering I saw why it was so empty. The pizza that's all I have to say the person that was cooking it kept moving it and pushing it while it was cooking so the cheese didn't bubble or brown a little just melted.. Yuck! It wasn't the Mod Pizza standard that I remember. The soda fountain looks like it's growing fur like literally if you zoom on the picture I posted you'll see it's so cloudy with a lot of ice because the root beer came out clear and the coke was flat. Bring your plates!!! Out late and wanted a quick bit to eat. My husband suggested this place as it has a gluten friendly crust. I decided what the heck and decided to give it a try . . . I will not be coming back. Yes, you read that right; one and done. Though this will be a great place for anyone who doesn't need to eat gluten free. Yes, I took a risk coming here and that is totally on me, not them. I can totally feel the cross contamination before I even finished eating. I am glad it tasted so good or suffering these side effects of the gluten cross contamination would have been for nothing. Lastly; bring your plates!!! I was surprised when I picked up my pizza that there are no plates provided for those sharing the pizza. Not sure what universe from the multi-verse you are from but here most people have to share an 11" pizza; I know I can't eat one by myself. So if you plan on sharing your pizza, like I did, bring so type of plate or just use extra napkins like we did. This place is great. The service is spot on they keep the line moving. I love all the options they offer from gluten free to vegan cheese. MOD Pizza is sure to please your pickiest eater. I've been here several times and each time my experience gets worse and worse. They rush the pizza. They don't listen. They start to get ready to close an hour and a half early so then you feel rushed to leave. They start to empty out the drink machines when they do this so if you paid to get a fountain drink and wanted a lemonade at 8:30, hope you don't plan to refill. When they put the garlic on your pizza they kinda just dash it on so when you eat it, you get a big glob in your mouth for one bite and other bites you get none. The place is some what clean. In a few words, great pizza at a fair price but not a comfortable atmosphere to dine in. The air conditioning is way too cold with poor seating. Ordering your pizza is a little tricky. for example, tell them pepperoni and they will put about six pieces or so, hesitating for you to say nothing and you will get pepperoni pizza with six or so pieces. The same goes for all of the toppings. They seem to put on just enough to get by. We ask for more pepperoni, more sauce and cheese and a lot more black olives and we got it at no extra cost. However, you do pay for it as they ask for a tip when you check out at the end of the line. What else would the tip before as you haven't really gotten any service yet? Extra toppings, that's what we think anyway I know, I know, that is not the intention of the owners, the owners would never do that, but can't you imagine the instructions being to give just enough and see if you can get away with i? Unfortunately I hate when a restaurant I love shifts to the left in Star Power, but MOD Pizza, you've definitely earned it... while I am a fan of the pizza, the speed of service and the location of the eatery, I definitely detest the overflowing trashcans, the filthy floors, the dirty tables and stepping over dropped pizza and food. Initially, this location at the Forum was my favorite location, but now the summer vacationers and crowds frequently at the Forum rush here for a quick meal. Three times in the last month I've visited this location and each time (different times of the day) the restaurant has been consistent in its filth... no need to tell management as she was sitting on a laptop at the back... I'm not sure what she was doing but it wasn't delegating to the personnel in the back making pizza boxes that one of them should be policing up trash and such. On all occasions, my boyfriend and I had to circle tables looking for a clean spot to eat and had to knock food off the table or step over a pizza crust under the table. While I like the brand, the ease of ordering food, the military discount and the delicious pizza, when a restaurant is nasty and unclean, it makes me wonder about the backend cleanliness. I always love eating Mods for lunch! For those that may not be aware, MOD Pizza is essentially the pizza version of subway. The great thing that makes it unique from other pizza places like it? They have thin crust pizza which is my Favorite, simply because of the texture. Prices are great , especially for unlimited toppings. There are the standardized menu items, already curated, or you can build your own pizza. There are mini and mod sizes and definitely don't miss out on their yummy lemonades !! I have always had bad experiences here with staff making faces or with bad attitude while making an order but this time I had enough to where I have to review this place. Online it says this location closes at 11pm. My family and I came at 9:25 ish. There were two big families infront of us in line so their order takes a while to prep. It's our turn and as soon as we were about to order the staff start to yell at us and everyone behind us that they are officially closed and will not be serving anyone else anymore. First of all so do they close whenever they want to now ? We love MOD Pizza for the fresh goodness of all the ingredients in their pizzas and salads and their friendly service. However, today we were served by a "special needs" person for whom we have great compassion and kindness, but because of their handicap, they were incapable of creating the normal quality pizza we order, with hardly any of the toppings placed in the strangest places on the pizza. We paid full price for a pizza that was far below the normal standard. Just got Door Dash delivery of Mod. As soon as I walked in the kitchen I told my husband it smells like burnt pizza. His pizza was fine, mine was totally burnt on the bottom. There is no way they would have served this in their restaurant. If I smelt it was burnt, they had to have smelt it and just sent it anyway. My husband called Mod and they said they will replace it, but since it was Door Dash that brought it, we have to drive there to go pick it up. So now we have a Door Dash charge but we have to drive to get the pizza anyway. AND my husbands pizza is at home getting cold. Not my first bad experience with getting delivery with them. Love this concept! My boyfriend and I tried 2 "MOD" pizzas (11") and the cheesy garlic bread (just a pizza crust with cheese) and got a pitcher of Fireman's 4 real ale (on tap!) Unlimited ranch, pesto, sriracha and red sauce at the pick up counter when your order is called. There was a line, but we didn't have to wait long, and there were plenty of employees building pies. Pizzas were simple, but tasty. Toppings are unlimited, so don't feel guilty for loading up! Our crusts were still quite crispy. They forgot our cheesy garlic bread order and we had to remind them. By the time we got it, we were full and had to take it to go. It's always partly crowdy in here, but we didn't have to wait for a table to sit down. Placed a mobile order and it seemed simple enough: four cheese pocket pizza and in the notes area I added "add double red sauce." I come in and they ask for me to come up to the front and I guess the shift lead comes over and repeats what the employee says "it doesn't typically come with that so we were confused by what you meant." I was honestly at a loss for words that this was THAT trivial. So they made with without any red sauce and then were like we'll just pour some over the top. As restaurant prices get more expensive and you encounter poorer experiences like this - it really just reinforces eating at home and making things yourself - it's that old adage: "if you want something done right, do it yourself." Beyond that the pizza pocket was overcooked to the point where it was just tough to cut thru.
