Location was in a busy area which is great for business. We were greeted immediately upon entering. Got a Mod pizza, create your own. Got cheese, pepperonis, and pineapple. I did have to ask for more toppings only because ultimately I would have had slices without toppings. Please fill in the empty sections. (Pet peeve) They had 4 people there putting toppings on the pizza. I personally don't think it requires 4 people to build the pizza but to each it's own. I did have to cook my pizza more when I got home, broil more so. It could have been cooked longer. The cheese was "melted" but it wasn't cooked thoroughly enough and some of the pepperoni were a tad bit undercooked. The crust on the other hand was cooked fine and I assume if they would have left the pizza in longer the crust would have burned, sooooo I don't know what the resolution would be to allow more time to actually cook the toppings and prevent the crust from burning. But visually, It looked nice and the taste was good. I may try again. Not sure. read more

MOD did not disappoint on any level! About 2pm Sat I popped in, moderate crowd. I ordered an 11in Pizza, love the size and thinness of the crust, I had white sauce, olive oil, spicy Italian sausage, pepperoni, Greek olives, mozzarella and gorgonzola cheeses. Oregano basil sprinkles, spinach and pesto drizzle. This pizza was fresh and absolutely divine!!! I shall be returning... Prices were reasonable - 11 inch $7 with unlimited toppings. You can also select one of their signature pies which are listed on the wall as you walk toward the counter. The average time for cooking pizza at MOD is 3 minutes - and it didn't compromise taste. I've eaten at other similar pizza restaurants (who shall remain nameless in East Cobb) where the pizzas were prepared quickly but the crust was burned and the toppings undercooked. MOD also offer salads, which weren't great but didn't make you wanna throw them away. You might need to ask for extra dressing. I never thought I'd find a casual craft pizza place better than Your Pie, but MOD has quickly become my favorite. I've visited two locations now - Kennesaw (multiple times) and Sandy Springs - and both consistently offer amazing food and great service. The interior of the Kennesaw location is smaller than the Sandy Springs location...still plenty of tables inside and out on the patio, but they fill up fast on Friday and Saturday nights! However, I've never had a problem snagging a table before my pizza was ready. Atmosphere is cool- lots of bright, interesting art on the walls and a good music selection. Most importantly: the delicious pizza... --Thin crust, piled high with all the toppings you could want for no additional charge. --Build your own or select from the menu. Fair warning: the names are a little confusing at first...barbecue chicken is "Caspian", regular cheese is "Maddy", etc...but the ingredients are all right there. --Regular personal pizzas are 11" (~$8.00, and I usually have a quarter left over for lunch the next day), or you can opt for a 'mini' 6" thin crust or 'mega' 11" thick crust. Went here today for lunch with my parents who visited for the first time about a week ago. I was in town and looking forward to trying this awesome way to customize your personal pizza without getting charged outrageous sums per topping. I must say I was blown away by the taste of the pizza. Basic concept is much like Subway where you start with the dough versus bread and add whatever toppings you like. In theory I guess you can have about a 25 topping 11" pizza for $8. I added about 8 toppings and it was more than I could eat. Plenty of sauce, meat, cheese, and veggie choices and they aren't stingy with the toppings at all. Everything on my pizza looked fresh and more importantly tasted fresh. Staff were courteous and the place was very clean. Read some articles that the franchise is expanding rapidly so looking forward to seeing one in Greenville,SC soon. Why have I not heard of this place sooner?! I love pizza. Actually if I could think of a word stronger than love - -that would be my feeling for pizza! So in addition to my already strong affection for pizza MOD has given the option of any... Any...ANY topping I want (insert fainting meme)! This particular location is placed perfectly in a visible shopping center. The inside was clean and very well kept as they had an employee on the floor constantly cleaning and ensuring customers satisfaction. Of course the food is good but if you are in doubt, just swing by and see the constant flow of customers seated both inside and out. I must admit I was a bit overwhelmed at first, luckily I came with veterans of MOD who were able to guide me through the process. Did I mention that you can add any toppings you want? Have you ever wanted an asparagus and pineapple pizza with pepperoni? Neither have I, but if you did you could get one at MOD. I visited during this locations 1 year anniversary and was able to try their no name cake for free. It reminded me of a cold chocolate ho-ho as it was a chocolate brownie cake with a white cream filling. It wasn't my cup of tea but if you are into that type of sweet treat then knock yourself out! I love the fun concept. This place is busy enough to prove it's working. A lot of people came and went while we were here. It's a clean, busy place. I can see where seating could get tight, even though there is a good number of tables. The service was attentive and accurate. The food was hot and pretty. There just wasn't a lot of flavor. This place just opened up not long ago but I've been here a few times already. They do a really good job considering it's basically like FiveGuys, but for pizza. For those of you not familiar with FiveGuys, what I mean is that they charge you a base price for the pizza size you choose and then all the toppings after that are free. I really like this model because delivery places can get very expensive very fast once you start adding toppings. The other thing this place has going for them is the fact that they use a wood-burning oven to make their pizza and you can really taste the difference. Their other ingredients could be on the higher quality side. My friend got a basic pepperoni pizza and it ended up being really greasy because the meat was so fatty. My go-to favorite is a margarita pizza with feta and mushrooms. They've got different pizza options in case you don't feel like getting creative or you can opt to build your own. There's also the option of modifying one of their menu options. One thing I really like is that they don't charge you for sides of ranch. That, and their blackberry lemonade is very satisfying and delicious. Feel free to dine in or place an order (either in person or online) to go. The facility is new, and therefore very clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. It is unfortunately in the center of a very busy shopping center, but you can still get lucky with the parking depending on when you get there. Vegan review: While they don't offer any plant based proteins, this is the best go-to option around when you don't wanna drop $20+ on a single pizza from a specialty place. You can pile on the veggies to your heart's content and make some crazy flavor combos. I'm always impressed with how this location distributes the toppings without overdoing any single ingredient. It's not too good to be true, they actually give you free rein on toppings and there's so many good ones you that aren't going to miss that conservative sprinkle of Beyond Beef. Here's a play-by-play: In a single bite of this $9 pizza I get a roasted floret of broccoli, an entire garlic clove, a tiny mushroom, a part of a sweet and spicy pepper, a little sliver of pickled onion, just enough (actually) spicy red sauce and vegan cheese for a creamy finish. The next bite? Swap out the broccoli for a piece of basil, the pepper for a slice of fresh tomato, add in the rest of that onion, and we're back with another full clove of garlic. The crust is super thin and crunchy and holds up under the massive weight of toppings. I can easily finish an 11-inch pizza in one sitting, but it reheats in the oven beautifully the next day. I hope the employees are being treated well, because you all have been putting together some seriously good pizzas and I'm not going to be dishing out Mellow Mushroom or Plant Based Pizzeria dollars as long as this place is this consistently great. read more

Fist time visit and first time trying mod pizza all together. The parking lot is medium size with multiple shops around. The inside of the restaurant was spacious with tables and benches around. You order Chipotle style at the counter and the staff prepares it right in front of you. Seemed like mostly teenagers worked and visited there. I got the veggie pizza with dairy free cheese to go. It was prepared quickly and I only had to wait about 5 min in the oven for it to be ready. The pie was pretty tasty, the 11 inch was a good size for a grown man, and the veggies seemed fresh. It was definitely the better dairy free cheese I've had. Once I'm off being a vegan for a month experiment I'll be back to try the pies with normal cheese lol. They emphasize unlimited toppings on the menu board, but they are very skimpy in the amount of each topping they place on the pizza. They also don't place a lot of mozzarella cheese on the pizza. The speed of service is a little slow. I waited over 10 minutes for my pizza to be ready. The end product was disappointing. The edges of the crust were burnt. Ordered a few Mods (regular pizzas), garlic cheese bread, and the no name cake. I really liked the thin crust on the pizzas, and the garlic cheese bread (delicious herbs on top!). They were out of a lot of the dipping sauces, but the pesto was very good. I wasn't a fan of the red pizza sauce -- it seemed really spicy to me and the people I was with. I love the idea, but it was just ok. As others have said, you get charge for the size of the pizza, but not for the extra's. Basically ups build your own pizza. The crust was super composition paper thin. You's have to hold it with both hands to prevent it from falling apart or fold it together like a sandwich . The pizza lacked flavor and there wasn't much to choose unless you are a meat eater. The employees weren't very helpful in terms of making choices. They lacked personality. They'd just stare with a blank face. It's something that has to be taught to young people; how to work with the public. The appearance of the employees were more of a grudge look. Not a good look over food. Facial hair and dangling hair over the food really bothered me. They didn't have their hair covered in some type of net or cap for sanitary reasons. Before each bite I stared at the pizza to ensure there wasn't any hair in it. It made me so uncomfortable, the more I watched them serve other customers; I didn't finish the pizza. I tossed it in the garbage. That was $9.00 in the trash, but worth it to me. Comfort, cleanliness is imperative in my book. not to mention when handling the food, I never saw anyone wash their hands.
